It was the perfect choice to enjoy Oktoberfest! Just 40min by train from Munich, with excellent location and great price and extremelly confortable acomodations! The staff is amazing, always friendly and helpfull and the breakfast was the best ever! Definitelly recomend!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The overall design and furnishings of the hotel just felt a little odd. We enjoyed the Japanese restaurant for dinner. It is about a 20 minute walk to the main train station. Never had a problem finding a free parking spot. However, the hotel staff did not seem to want to be there...

I loved everything about this hotel. The combination of age, history, and comfort is great. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast is excellent with a large variety of food and beverages, and all is well prepared. Bad Gögging is a suburb of Neustadt a.d.Donau; directly situated on the edge of a branch of the Danube River and with the idyllic river the Abens flowing through it. It is only a stone's throw away from the proud ruins of the former Roman fortifications Abusina, which for 2,000 years was one of the most important Danube-garrisons of the Roman Legions.
The UNESCO world heritage Regensburg is only 45 km away and is worth visiting.
The Danube formed a river landscape that varies from soft to bizarre beauty. On a boat tour on one of the comfortable ships, nature presents itself from its contemplative and spectacular side. The last natural beach can be found between the Benedict monastery of Weltenburg and the scenic Wittelsbach town of Kelheim.
In Abensberg, 5 km away, you can visit the brewery "Kuchlbauer" with its architectural project of the world famous artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
Walking: The spa town of Bad Gögging offers the best conditions imaginable. 20 specially-designed routes on signposted trails (a total of over 170 kilometers), with a variety in exercise levels, give the spa guest enough possibilities to enhance the success of the spa therapy through exercise.
Cycling: Delightful river valleys, extensive forests, pure nature and a historically grown natural landscape in county Kelheim offer the best possibilities for cyclists. Among popular long distance cycle routes like the Altmühlradweg or the Donauradweg traverse or cut across county Kelheim. You can expect unlimited cycling pleasure on more than 800 kilometers of signposted bicycle tours, which are part of a unique long distance cycling path network.

We have attended 21 conferences with the same technical organization. The Monarch provided the best meeting room facilities, room price and bar/meal services. The hotel location on the outskirts of tiny Bad Goegging is wonderful. The pool and spa facilities were luxurious.

This place was just weird, in the middle of nowhere and I don't mean around a pretty forest, but rather a flatter area full of fields growing hops. Reminded me of those movies of that ol Kellog;s spa resort of last century, but with moderm cheesiness. The Monarch hotel is well presented - almost quirkily so - with all you'd expect of a 4* establishment. Caterig a little for the more venerable generation, the gym equipment offered limited challenge and there was re surprising find of a morning keep-fit class in the pool, bu otherwise I say the place caters perfecty for visitors of any demographic. […] It may have been a little cheeky charging overnight parking rates, as the place is pretty much in a remote locale and at the time we stayed was very quiet. Sehr entspannender Aufenthalt, Hotel in ruhiger Lage mitten im Grünen, schöne Pool-Anlage um im Außenbereich die Sonne zu genießen. Nachteil / Lage: ~ 40 min mit dem Auto von Regensburg entfernt. Daher nicht ideal für Städte-Reise mit Ziel Regensburg. Auch sonst keine interessante Stadt mit Ausgeh-Möglichkeiten in direkter Nähe.

Bin spät in Dunkelheit im WInter angereist. Macht einen herrschaftlichen Eindruck. Ist innen etwas verschachtelt mit Lifts, die nicht durchgängig alle Etagen anfahren. Sehr schöne Badelandschaft, Zimmer sehr gut.

Die Hotelanlage ist leicht zu finden und gut gelegen. Das Parkhaus könnte etwas besser ausgeschildert sein. Die Rezeption ist leicht zu finden und auch das zugewiesene Zimmer konnte nach langem Fussmarsch schliesslich gefunden werden. Generell ist zu sagen, dass dies kein Hotel der kurzen Wege ist. Ich habe nie ein Hotel erlebt, dass so unübersichtlich […] und weitläufig ist. Die Ausstattung des Hotels bietet für jeden etwas. Der zentral gelegene Pool ist durch seine Runde Form nichts für Athleten, sondern eher zum Entspannen. Der Fitnessraum ist miserabel ausgeschildert, hat aber neben Cardiogeräten auch jede Menge Geräte für den Kraftbereich. Das Restaurant konnte ich nur zum Frühstück testen. Es ist hell, gross und weitläufig. Das Frühstücksbuffet entspricht dem durchschnittlichen Frühstück eines Hotels dieser Kategorie. Als Fazit bleibt festzuhalten, dass im The Monarch das Preis-Leisungsverhältnis für meinen Aufenthalt gestimmt hat. Read more

Das Hotel an sich war recht hübsch .Es war gemütlich eingerichtet.Mir hat der Flur und die Speiseräume besonders gut gefahlen.Schwimbad war sehr nett.Ich bin ganz lang im Pool gewesen,weil es recht angenehm war,auch drausen.Ich bin mit der Cervice vom Personal sehr zufrieden.Sie waren sehr nett.Das Essen war gut.

Koslig hotell, med basseng. Noe slitt og gammelt, men reint. Gammel stil. God størrelse på rommet. Ikkje aircondition. Det var varmt på rommet med 37 grader ute.

Zimmer und Hotel sind abgewohnt ,Für einen Bademantel muß mann 3,- € Leihgebür bezahlen. Nicht Pfand! Leihgebühr und das nennt sich 4 Sterne!!

Um alles nutzen zu können, war das Wochenende leider zu kurz. Absolut ruhige Lage, angenehmes Ambiente (auch wenn die Oasen-Stimmung nicht zum römischen Stil passt), Fitness-Center und Pools absolut zu empfehlen. Kompliment an den Service und die Küche.

Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen. Das Frühstücksbüffet bot viel Auswahl. Das Schwimmbad ist sehr schön, der Saunabereich dagegen müßte dringend mal überholt werden. Im Sauna-Ruhebereich tropft das Wasser von der Decke auf die Liegestühle. Auch die Auflagen müßten dringend ausgetauscht werden, da sie wirklich schäbig sind.

L'hotel si trova in una località chiamata Bad Gogging a circa 30-35 minuti da Ingoldstadt. Se ci si deve recare in tale città non è poi così male, la strada è sgombra anche se qualche camion è presente. Ho scelto questo hotel perchè Ingolstatd era fully booked e le alternative scarseggiavano. L'hotel è enorme, ed è adatto a persone di una certa età […] che vogliono godersi la spa. Poco adatto ad uomini d'affare causa anche la connettività a prezzi folli per quanto riguarda il wifi che è vendibile solo ad ora di navigazione e non si può scegliere un forfait di più ore da consumare in più giorni! La colazione è ben fornita, si può mangiare di tutto ed è inclusa nel prezzo...sconsiglio la cena a buffet di pessima qualità e di costi esorbitanti in proporzione alla qualità offerta. Il personale è troppo freddo e distaccato dovuto forse anche al fatto del numero di persone presenti, lo consiglio per casi di disperazione ma ho sicuramente alloggiato in posti migliori per rapporto qualità prezzo maggiore. Hotellet ligger en smule væk fra Donau, men tæt på Limes Thermerne. Om sommeren er der meget lidt at lave, hvorfor pris/kvalitetsforholdet bliver fremragende. Dog var der kun en af restauranterne, der havde åbent. I gå afstand fra hotellet er der et større udbud af restauranter. Dejlig inden- og udendørs pool, café/bar lige ved den udendørs pool.

Das Hotel fühlt sich ein bisschen künstlich an aber ist eigentlich sehr gut. Schönes Thermalbad und sehr gutes Frühstuck.
