Good location. away from the crazy center but yet close enough to walk to bars and restaurants. The beach front bar and breakfast huts are awesome. one of the best in that area. The massage service was very clean and nice. better than other ones on the beach.

Loved this hotel - just off the beach so you can go for a swim in the sea, or just lounge on the beach, but also has its own pool with a bar right next to the beach which you can use as well. Everybody was absolutely fabulous - no complaints about staff or service at all - we were extremely happy with everybody. In fact this hotel was incredibly innovative with their breakfast menu - we could choose what we wanted to have instead of having a buffet. Win for everybody we all thought. Incredibly sensible idea. The only issues were occasional […] smells (from the toilet?) which were intermittent, and Rubbish coming on to the beach (e.g. timber with nails protruding, plastic containers, etc) which we picked up and handed to security staff. This hotel met our expectations in so many ways. We had read that the rooms were "tired" so no issues there - the price reflected that perfectly. We were upgraded to a 'duplex' that was right next to the beautiful pool and beach. The large balcony with the daybed was perfect for late afternoon lounging with a G&T and the room was perfectly comfortable […] and clean. I wouldn't recommend paying for a duplex normally though as the downstairs area is not well equipped and a bit unnecessary. The resort has an amazing chilled out feel, is uncrowded and incredibly relaxed. Staff leave you to your own devices but are there when you need anything. The only real let down for us was the quality of the food in the restaurant. It just didn't rate well compared to other eateries of all kinds on the island. This made it a bit of a pain if you didn't feel like heading out for dinner or lunch. Other than that though, a wonderful place to stay if you want low key, quiet relaxation that is close to all the wonderful things that Koh Samui has to offer. Read more

I loved our stay here. We decided after backpacking, to end our stay in Thailand at someplace more relaxing, and muang kulaypan was perfect. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed having breakfast in the huts by the sea every morning & was always served with the promptest attention. Jae(main host) was great value and always provided us with a laugh in the morning. Our stay at Muang Kulaypan hotel was very dissapointing. The service and the staff were very accomodating but the rooms themeselves were old and had a very distictive smell to them. It's a shame because the location and the atmosphere is great. We ended up not staying the full duration of our planned trip and resorted to another hotel.

My Husband and I travelled with our 17 month old daughter and found the hotel room very comfortable. However our room was more suited to a couple than people travelling with a baby. When she went down for a nap we had nowhere to go while she slept, there was was nowhere outside the room to sit and without wanting to go to far away from the room while […] she slept. The hotel provided us with a cot at no extra charge but it was very old and broken, she shared a bed with us most of the time. Our accommodation was in a Superior room and I would highly recommend it if you are not travelling with a child. The restaraunt had a good menu that suited us and our baby, breakfast was included in our room rate, it wasn't a buffet rather you ordered from a menu, coffee, juice, fruit, coffee, toast and croissants with jam were also provided. The pool was clean and well maintained and the staff working it were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to families and couple. It is quiet considering it's position on the busy main road of Chaweng beach, due to a high wall surrounding the hotel. Read more

Vi var där med vår 8månaders bebis och trivdes väldigt bra och servicen var fantastisk. Alla i personalen verkade älska barn och tog väldigt bra hand om vår son. Med fem minuters promenad från livliga Chaweng är Muang Kulaypan perfekt beläget. Fint poolområde, Wifi överallt, helt okej rum (inte lika fina som på bild) god service och beläget på stranden. Enda minuset är att priserna i baren är "dyra" i förhållande till andra hotell vi bott på.

Stayed January 2013, traveled as a couple. The design is bad and in-habitable. The bathroom was ancient, looks dark and dingy, rooms looked rusty, the carpet old and worn, the walls dirty, the furniture worn out.

nous gardons un bon souvenir global de l'hotel, nous sommes restes que 2 nuits dans cet hotel : les points positifs sont l'accueil, le service, belle piscine et plage au pied de l'hotel. les points négatifs sont la chambre (équivaut à un 3 etoiles max) qui merite un coup de jeune, la climatisation de la chambre qui souffle en plein sur la tete du lit […] donc impossible de dormir et pas de télécommande a distance pour la clim, es tarifs très élévés de la restauration (s'ils veulent que leur restaurant se remplisse il faudrait peut etre modifier leur carte/tarifs.Sur les 3 jours nous avons du croiser 2 ou 3 couples en tout! donc hotel calme (sept 2012) Read more

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. Nous avons de suite demandé une chambre avec vue sur jardin (avec supplement) et avons donc bénéficié de la chambre 201 avec balcon et vue sur jardin alors que la toute première chambre (104) donnait sur la rue (et son bruit) et n'avait aucune vue. La réception dans une petite pièce vitrée n'est pas très accueillante […] : mais pourquoi n'installent t-ils pas la réception dehors dans l'entrée ? L'hôtel est assez mal conçu architecturalement parlant, en U, avec un jardin central fait principalement de pelouse et d'allées. belle piscine noire rectangulaire. En revanche coté plage de belles installations avec des petites huttes où l'on peut prendre son petit déjeuner avec vue sur le lever de soleil au dessus de la mer. très belle plage de sable blanc et eau turquoise. Aucun avis négatif. A l'extremité nord de la plage très (trop) animée de Chawen, il est de ce fait très calme. La piscine, le restaurant sont au bord de la plage, dans des jardins parfaitement entretenus. Le personnel est discret mais toujours à notre disposition. Notre séjour de 8 jours fut un enchantement de calme et de repos.
