"Very minor issues but overall a great stay"
My stay at the hotel was better than I had expected and especially for the price. Everything was great with the lone minor exceptions of the fact that for whatever reason the key cards given me kept having to be reset, when I talked to other guests they did not report any problem, so why it would happen to me could be anything.. and 2nd the WIFI connection […] kept disconnecting but when i reported these issues the staff handled everything quickly, and they were good again til the next day, when I asked about it the representative at the front desk stated that they were having issues with the system but it was already in the process of being taken care of. Neither of these issues really were much of a concern, the room was great, the location was convenient and the rate was excellent. I have already booked yet another stay here and will choose the hotel again each time I go to Ann Arbor, as long as its available anyway. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
No closet in the room. It has some cabinet structure in the corner. Hotel is very dated. Back up to Route #94, so you can hear the highway. There are better choices in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"We were very satisfied only 2 miles to U of M Hosp"
Very comfy beds and very clean room, nice breakfast and all day coffee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Walls are paper thin and you hear everything that happens in the next rooms. Internet is horrible and was down twice in 2 nights and would run very slow. Every time you call the front desk they say there was nothing wrong with the internet. Funny how we had 2 laptops and 2 cell phone and all of them had issues with the hotels internet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Furniture outdated in room. Bed uncomfortable. Small tv on wall not easily seen from bed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel close to U of M hospital and expressway"
The check in was fast and easy. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was located close to shopping, expressway, hospitals and resturants.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, convenient, comfortable!"
For the $$$, great bang for the buck. Usually stay with friends in Ann Arbor but decided to get a room. Basic...but comfy and clean. Would stay there again, especially at $64 a night!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Appreciate your services when I come for medical appointments at the University Hospital. The price is right and the services are adequate. Only problem was that in zero weather the side of the bed next to the window was a bit cool.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not bad. Good value for the discounted price that I got it. (about 65$)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"An Arbor trip"
The room was next to the stairs and I heard the door opening and closing every time. There needs to be more sound insulation to make it quieter.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was clean, and the breakfast very basic. The location of the hotel was fairly convenient, however the access to it and the signage indicating how to get there from the main road was very bad.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My family was attending our son's graduation at University of Michigan. The location is good and the room is clean, but the free wifi is unacceptable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best inexpensive hotel in Ann Arbor"
Have stayed here a number of times. This is clearly the best value in the Ann Arbor area. Ask for a room facing away from the freeway, and away from the elevator and vending / ice machines. The place can be noisy - you know when the next room has the shower running or the TV on. There are a LOT of good inexpensive restaurants nearby. From the hotel […] you can walk to a good coney island diner, a sub store and a good Korean restaurant, plus a very nice grocery store. Go west to the strip mall at Plymouth Road and Upland Drive (1.7 mi) and you will find about a dozen restaurants that include American, Indian, Japanese, Syrian, Thai, Chinese, ... "Very comfortable and clean for the price"
My family of 4 stayed over Thanksgiving, so the hotel was busy. However, we were not disturbed by any noise or disturbances. The staff was attentive and the morning breakfast had plenty of options. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The refrigerator was not working though. Fortunately, we didn't need it. However, it would've been […] very inconvenient if we had. All in all, considering the very affordable cost, the room was a great value and I would recommend it to a friend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I brought my boyfriend along for this trip, and overall we felt our stay was a positive experience. Our only quibble was that sound travels easily between rooms (as can be typical in comparably priced hotels), as we were woken at 1:30am by neighbors who were talking rather loudly. When I called down to let the front desk know, they resolved the matter […] quickly. Otherwise, you get a lot of bang for your buck, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's what you'd expect for being so cheap"
Summary of Microtel in Ann Arbor: (1) room is incredibly small, (2) all of the lights are horrible fluorescent, (3) bathroom is passable and clean, but shower curtain was once-white, now-pink and bathtub barely drained, (4) "breakfast" is some stale pastries and off-brand cereal, and (5) the staff are much less friendly than the general population in […] the midwest. On the bright side, the hotel is very convenient to 23, downtown Ann Arbor, and there are easy options for food close-by. We wouldn't stay there again, but for $75/night, it met our needs. "Hard to Find"
This hotel is hard to find, set way back from Plymouth Road and Green Road, with other big hotels between it and those two roads; oddly, there is only a tiny Microtel sign on the narrow entry road (easy to miss) off Plymouth, and none at all on Green. The motel room was small but cleverly arranged and fine, and I appreciated the security of an interior […] corridor. The breakfast was adequate but depressingly ordinary, jammed over by the vending machines. On arrival for a 4 night stay with a Hotels.com reservation, I resented that the clerk at the hotel desk gave me (a single older woman checking in about 3:30 pm) what must have been the noisiest room in the hotel (second of three floors, in front of the elevator and across from vending machines). I got another better room but had to ask for it. Electronic entry at ends of this long-halled building had been out for weeks, which was inconvenient. This is a good place but should be a lot better. "cute little room"
The room faced a large grassy area and felt wonderfully secluded. Unfortunately traffic noise was fairly loud. The room was cute with updated well thought out furniture including a very useful desk configuration and a padded window seat. The room included a microwave and refrigerator. Unfortunately the outlet in the bathroom would not run the hair dryer […] provided and the phone at the bedside had no dial tone. All in all, I would stay at this cute little hotel again. "Clean and affordable but out of the way"
I stayed at the Microtel in November 2013 for business at the University of Michigan. The hotel was very clean, the staff were responsive and my room was comfortable. Without a car, however, I found that the hotel (located about 4 miles of strip malls and commercial/industrial parks from Main St.) was very poorly located to actually explore the area. […] For my situation I would have been better served by paying a little more to stay more centrally. If you have a car, however, the hotel is a very short drive to downtown where parking is incredibly affordable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, modern, friendly"
Great hotel for business traveler. Smallish room but cleverly furnished to maximize the space. Very clean. Front desk was courteous. I arrived downtown on an airport shuttle and called the hotel for a pickup, and the shuttle driver left immediately to come get me. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel staff was unfriendly. My room never got cleaned after being gone for 14 hours. Free Breakfast was a joke. Would never stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nothing to brag about. The breakfast was not worthy of being called a breakfast (cereal, fruit, coffee, and some watery juice).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First time in Michigan"
Had a three night stay here. Great experience! Very clean, very comfortable-great view! Comfy bed, great location! Felt safe traveling alone-will definitely stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
We are frequent visitors and like to book here when we can. The facility is immaculate and the staff is friendly. If you need the handicapped unit is very well thought out. Our only complaint is the freeway noise. On the other hand the location is reasonably convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location for North Campus visiting-easy to get to Central Campus. Room was on Interstate side of hotel- there was significant road/tractor trailer noise but easily drowned out by TV or A/C. Would highly recommend!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I attended a conference in downtown Ann Arbor, and the Microtel was very convienient. Only 10 minutes from downtown. It was also very clean and comfortable, not to mention affordable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Always a pleasure"
Stayed here before and it was very nice for a quick trip to see my daughter at school. Rooms are small but comfortable. Problems with ourmshower drain but everything else was great. Got there way before check-in but front desk staff had as eat breakfast and then had a room ready shortly after we finished. The lobby is spotless. It's always a pleasure […] to stay here. "Convenient for business on UM North Campus"
Overall, I was very satisfied from my stay in Microtel. One thing that can be improved is the continental breakfast. Some more healthy options would be useful (e.g. more fruit, whole wheat bread, tea, almond milk).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
clean and decent but didn't love it. amenities were lacking and would probably stay elsewhere next time. Webers inn wasn't available but that is where I usually stay in Ann Arbor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average, but close to Ann Arbor"
I needed a hotel which was close to downtown Ann Arbor and relatively inexpensive, but not poor quality. The location was perfect as it ended up being a 10-15 minute drive to downtown. The staff was friendly and the room was clean albeit very small. Additionally, the WIFI was reliable. The continental breakfast was very measly with a coffee pot, orange […] juice dispenser, and a few muffins. Overall, it was an average hotel for a fairly reasonably price. "Good for one night"
The name says it all - Microtel. The room was micro sized. More like a cruise ship cabin. I'll give them credit for efficient use of space but I wouldn't want to stay more than a night or two. No room to spread out at all - but if you need an inexpensive, clean place to stay for a night, this is the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for overnight stay"
Overall the hotel was clean and sufficient for my purposes. As other reviewers have said, it's tucked behind some other hotels, but wasn't too hard to find. Was a short drive to the main things in Ann Arbor and there was a really nice Korean restaurant just around the corner. The room itself was clean, though at first the sink took a while to drain […] (seemed to be fine later) and the toilet flush was really loud. But that's about the extent any cons I could write about. Missed the breakfast so couldn't tell you if it was any good or not. Overall, would recommend this hotel for a short stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for one night stay"
Price was good for area. Easy to get to, but not signed very well from the road. Hotel was VERY clean everywhere, including the room. There was an odor in the stairwell as though it was recently re-carpeted (glue smell). Coffee pot didn't work, but the lobby had 24 hour coffee available. "Very good deal for the price."
I was very impressed with the staff, who were very responsive to a request for a change. The hotel is easily accessed from US 23 and has a number of services nearby (food, drug store, nail salon, massage therapy, fuel, etc.)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good Stay. Friendly desk. Clean and quiet rooms. Near North Campus Ann Arbor. Breakfast is minor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent experience, especially for the price. Our room was clean and well appointed. only suggestion would be to add some protein to the breakfast menu.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Really liked this hotel. Was dropping off my daughter for school there, and found everything in the room to be perfect. The breakfast was adequate....found some of the less expensive hotels to have a "hot breakfast" on our road trip, but this was fine. One weird thing that has never happened to me before was that if we had not left the room in the morning […] by 11:00, they would put a note under our door saying that housekeeping was leaving by 12:30 or 1:00, so please let them know if we would be leaving. Strange, I thought. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"My time here"
I came here for business for two days. I it was okay. It was clean and, comfortable, and up to date. However the customer service was terrible. The only time I was spoken too, was when I checked in. I came and went several times where I passed room service or the desk, and no one spoke to me. Two! There were only 10 channels 4 of which were sports channels. […] Not very diverse. Lastly I was told that they have a fitness center. They don't. They actually use the one across the street in the holiday inn. Sooo yea. It worked for the sleeping purpose but I probably won't be booking here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
