"cute little room"
The room faced a large grassy area and felt wonderfully secluded. Unfortunately traffic noise was fairly loud. The room was cute with updated well thought out furniture including a very useful desk configuration and a padded window seat. The room included a microwave and refrigerator. Unfortunately the outlet in the bathroom would not run the hair dryer […] provided and the phone at the bedside had no dial tone. All in all, I would stay at this cute little hotel again. "Clean and affordable but out of the way"
I stayed at the Microtel in November 2013 for business at the University of Michigan. The hotel was very clean, the staff were responsive and my room was comfortable. Without a car, however, I found that the hotel (located about 4 miles of strip malls and commercial/industrial parks from Main St.) was very poorly located to actually explore the area. […] For my situation I would have been better served by paying a little more to stay more centrally. If you have a car, however, the hotel is a very short drive to downtown where parking is incredibly affordable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, modern, friendly"
Great hotel for business traveler. Smallish room but cleverly furnished to maximize the space. Very clean. Front desk was courteous. I arrived downtown on an airport shuttle and called the hotel for a pickup, and the shuttle driver left immediately to come get me. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel staff was unfriendly. My room never got cleaned after being gone for 14 hours. Free Breakfast was a joke. Would never stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nothing to brag about. The breakfast was not worthy of being called a breakfast (cereal, fruit, coffee, and some watery juice).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First time in Michigan"
Had a three night stay here. Great experience! Very clean, very comfortable-great view! Comfy bed, great location! Felt safe traveling alone-will definitely stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
We are frequent visitors and like to book here when we can. The facility is immaculate and the staff is friendly. If you need the handicapped unit is very well thought out. Our only complaint is the freeway noise. On the other hand the location is reasonably convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location for North Campus visiting-easy to get to Central Campus. Room was on Interstate side of hotel- there was significant road/tractor trailer noise but easily drowned out by TV or A/C. Would highly recommend!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I attended a conference in downtown Ann Arbor, and the Microtel was very convienient. Only 10 minutes from downtown. It was also very clean and comfortable, not to mention affordable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Always a pleasure"
Stayed here before and it was very nice for a quick trip to see my daughter at school. Rooms are small but comfortable. Problems with ourmshower drain but everything else was great. Got there way before check-in but front desk staff had as eat breakfast and then had a room ready shortly after we finished. The lobby is spotless. It's always a pleasure […] to stay here. Nice residential neighborhood nearby that is good for jogging. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good distance between destination"
I enjoyed the room. Very comfortable. Love the cushion by the window. I sat there and read my book:-)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient for business on UM North Campus"
Overall, I was very satisfied from my stay in Microtel. One thing that can be improved is the continental breakfast. Some more healthy options would be useful (e.g. more fruit, whole wheat bread, tea, almond milk).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
clean and decent but didn't love it. amenities were lacking and would probably stay elsewhere next time. Webers inn wasn't available but that is where I usually stay in Ann Arbor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average, but close to Ann Arbor"
I needed a hotel which was close to downtown Ann Arbor and relatively inexpensive, but not poor quality. The location was perfect as it ended up being a 10-15 minute drive to downtown. The staff was friendly and the room was clean albeit very small. Additionally, the WIFI was reliable. The continental breakfast was very measly with a coffee pot, orange […] juice dispenser, and a few muffins. Overall, it was an average hotel for a fairly reasonably price. "Good for one night"
The name says it all - Microtel. The room was micro sized. More like a cruise ship cabin. I'll give them credit for efficient use of space but I wouldn't want to stay more than a night or two. No room to spread out at all - but if you need an inexpensive, clean place to stay for a night, this is the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for overnight stay"
Overall the hotel was clean and sufficient for my purposes. As other reviewers have said, it's tucked behind some other hotels, but wasn't too hard to find. Was a short drive to the main things in Ann Arbor and there was a really nice Korean restaurant just around the corner. The room itself was clean, though at first the sink took a while to drain […] (seemed to be fine later) and the toilet flush was really loud. But that's about the extent any cons I could write about. Missed the breakfast so couldn't tell you if it was any good or not. Overall, would recommend this hotel for a short stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for the price"
Seems well run and maintained; convenient for us and affordable. Close to useful shops, highway, and the people we were visiting. A little hard to find from the road at first.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Trip to U of M"
I visited the U of M and my stay was great everyone was very helpful and made it even betterGenuine Expedia guest review
"Much better options at comparable price"
It was OK. The hotel and the room was clean. But there are definitely better options for the price if you shop around on the internet. Don't think I will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the campus of the University of Michigan"
Check-in is at 3:00pm but I was in the area at 1:00pm and my room was readyGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good for one night stay"
Price was good for area. Easy to get to, but not signed very well from the road. Hotel was VERY clean everywhere, including the room. There was an odor in the stairwell as though it was recently re-carpeted (glue smell). Coffee pot didn't work, but the lobby had 24 hour coffee available. My only real complaint was my shower had no hot water, very f […] rustrating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel to stay"
I like this hotel. It is very clean and comfortable to stay. Also, it is very close to University of Michigan. We really enjoy the stay at this hotel. I will stay here again if I visit UM again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very good deal for the price."
I was very impressed with the staff, who were very responsive to a request for a change. The hotel is easily accessed from US 23 and has a number of services nearby (food, drug store, nail salon, massage therapy, fuel, etc.)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good Stay. Friendly desk. Clean and quiet rooms. Near North Campus Ann Arbor. Breakfast is minor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent experience, especially for the price. Our room was clean and well appointed. only suggestion would be to add some protein to the breakfast menu.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Really liked this hotel. Was dropping off my daughter for school there, and found everything in the room to be perfect. The breakfast was adequate....found some of the less expensive hotels to have a "hot breakfast" on our road trip, but this was fine. One weird thing that has never happened to me before was that if we had not left the room in the morning […] by 11:00, they would put a note under our door saying that housekeeping was leaving by 12:30 or 1:00, so please let them know if we would be leaving. Strange, I thought. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"My time here"
I came here for business for two days. I it was okay. It was clean and, comfortable, and up to date. However the customer service was terrible. The only time I was spoken too, was when I checked in. I came and went several times where I passed room service or the desk, and no one spoke to me. Two! There were only 10 channels 4 of which were sports channels. […] Not very diverse. Lastly I was told that they have a fitness center. They don't. They actually use the one across the street in the holiday inn. Sooo yea. It worked for the sleeping purpose but I probably won't be booking here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"terrific hotel en route to destination"
I checked in very late, about 11pm, and lobby was brightly lit, person behind the desk friendly and helpful. The room was great; it was very clean, small, but very comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer, but it was just a one night stay. Checkout time isn't until 12, which helps make a more relaxed morning, getting ready to leave. Some people […] rate hotels based on the breakfast provided (continental), but the room's the thing... and it was great. I"d stay there again on my November journey, but they're booked. Football weekend, I should have planned ahead. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was fine but very very small. There were two hotels within the same surrounding area. (Same grounds) There was no pool and we never found the fitness center at a nearby location. If you just need a bed for the night its fine but if you are going to spend significant time I wouldn't recommend it. The complimentary breakfast was just a few […] things. "hotel desk staff make all the difference"
after a brief exchange, desk staff provided a room 2 full hours before company policy check-in time of 3 PM. personal innitiative beats corporate policy every time. if staff had persisted in just parroting policy, it would have gotten ugly, as i have no, zero patience for jerks, idiots or morons. fortunatly these 2 guys plus the housekeeping manager […] came to their senses and gave me the customer what i wanted. i left very happy. "Nice room but thin walls"
This hotel really wanted to be nice. The beds were GREAT. The shower pressure was GREAT. The Wifi worked. It was very close to a lot of restaurants. The front desk staff was very nice. BUT...the walls were super thin: crying baby on one side and blasting TV on the other. I even got up and knocked on the neighbor's door to ask them to turn it down so […] we could sleep. Our family of 6 needed two rooms but they put us on two different floors. The breakfast they supplied was cereal, pastries/muffins and bagels. No protein or cook-your-own options. It was ok, but not what we really wanted. Would we stay here again? Maybe. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Basic hotel, clean, pleasant staff. Good value. Nice to have free Wii-fii. Free breakfast included cereal, coffee, bagels, juice, and muffins. I usually like to have a little more variety and some protein, but can't complain because it is what one expects for a hotel of this price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"clean hotel, thin walls"
The hotel was very clean and the workers were friendly. The only con was that the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything going on in the hallway and rooms next to us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for the price"
The carpet was a little worn and the cabinets did not offer much storage. The bathroom was clean and the suite offered a sink and fridge, which is great for a long stay. The staff I encountered were nice and my daily room cleaning was thorough.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very Comfortable Hotel"
Helpful Staff. Comfortable Stay. Very convenient and close to a major highway. A major grocery store in the same plaza, which is great help. Breakfast is pretty good. UMich bus comes to the same plaza. Lots of eating places nearby. CVS is just opposite.Genuine Expedia guest review

"I will stay again!"
Hotel is in great location of Ann Arbor. It is quiet and clean with staff always ready to assist you. I recommend it highly. "From California"Genuine Expedia guest review
This is a decent hotel for the price. Only negative toilets flush really loud and you can hear every noise from your neighbors like the walls are too thin.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"U Mich north campus hotel"
Stayed 3 nights for new student and family orientation. Clean and spacious room but a little bit noise from the neighbor at night. The breakfast is OK without much choice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not at all impressed"
Visiting the Art Festival for a day from Chicago with my daughters. Hotel was shabby and bed linens were tattered and torn. Shower was slow to drain. Wouldn't call the morning offering of dry cereal much of a breakfast. Would stay here on our next visit to Ann Arbor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Close to University of Michigan"
Right off the interstate, near gas stations, plenty of eateries, got to U of M in less than 10 minutes. Liked that the room had a small frig that was cold and a small microwave. Continental breakfast was decent (bagels, danishes, muffins, oatmeal, apples, bananas, juices). Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
