"good service and affordable rate"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 24, 2012
PROS - Great service, the front desk was very helpful. Room was better than expected from exterior appearance, direct bus route to downtown at front of hotel and taxi rates were only about twice the rate of the bus.CONS - the cafe food was very poor and the only blemish on an otherwise decent establishment. A 3.5 / 5 overall
"Each Cabin has a Hot Tub!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 24, 2012
Our stay at Deer Harbor Resort was pleasant but not outstanding. Positives include: Friendly staff, clean room, personal hot tub on deck, lots of towels, fireplace and a nice breakfast spread in the morning. Negatives include: no pet friendly rooms, heated pool not open and the mattress was hard and lumpy.

"Abigail's Hotel"
The really great thing about this hotel is the people who man the desk. They are friendly, helpful and patient. The second great thing is the breakfast. Five stars for everyone.

"Service and breakfast are king!"
Abigail's is a charming hotel where the staff cannot do enough for you. It is a little bit of a walk to the inner harbor (about 3 or 4 blocks) but when you find that onerous, consider the breakfast at the hotel. It is simply the best we have ever had, not just on this vacation, but on any vacation!
"Most Helpful staff"
The staff at this hotel stands out as being one of the most friendly and helpful group of people that I have encountered anywhere in the world. I seldom recommend hotels but Abigail's is one that made the short list.

"Abigail's Hotel in Victoria, BC"
My wife and I just returned from a two-week Canadian trip. We stayed in half a dozen hotels and our favorite was Abigail's. Friendly, helpful, enthusiastic staff. Well-maintained, nicely furnished. We would definitely return there and we recommend it highly.
"Abigails Victoria BC"
Wonderful staff, clean rooms, great breakfasts and snacks, Abigails made us feel very welcome in the great city of Victoria
"Abigail's Hotel Victoria B.C."
We arrived by taxi as a wedding was taking place in the front yard . . . rather uncomfortable and unexpected for everyone; I could tell by the bride's glare. After we checked in I was humored as our 19 y.o. young lady weighing in at about 90 pounds tried to carry our 50 # bags up a narrow stair case; I couldn't watch and instead lugged them up myself. […] The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. They really did try! Our "Sunflower Room" was clean and quaint, as expected, but smaller than our cruise ship quarters. The queen sized bed was embraced by a wall mounted air conditioner that was directly across from the bed. The floors and the bed squeaked, which is unexpected for a remodeled (not restored) lodge. Located in a quiet residential area (bordering the shelter district 3 or 4 blocks away; don't make a wrong turn if you're walking) and a long walk for meals and entertainment; but the colorful street people in the bus shelters was an unexpected surprise! About an $8 cab ride to the Empress. Maybe I'm jaded, but I expected more. The room was small but it sure was expensive. Read more
"Beautiful B&B"
Really pretty B&B. We stayed in one of the coach rooms. The room was gorgeous. Great 2 person jet tub. The staff was very friendly. If you call the night before, they will bring breakfast to your room. Skip the Huevos Rancheros.

"Outstanding Hotel"
The Abigail is a beautiful inn with wonderful service. Our major complaint was that we had a third floor room with no elevator. We also were a bit disappointed that the Hotels.com price did not include breakfast; I don't think we were informed of this when we booked the room.
"Treat yourself!"
Abigail's is a lovely place with lots of special touches. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and was well equipped, apart from the shower room, which was cramped and had only a shower and no bath. If I'd known this before booking I might have chosen another room. The optional breakfast is cooked for you by the chef, you can see into […] the kitchen through a hatch, and you can have breakfast inside or out on the patio in a little garden at the front of the hotel. The staff are exceptionally attentive, polite and helpful. The desk is staffed 24 hours and they will book tours or restaurants for you. The hotel guide says they pass on the incentives, and we were very pleased with both the whale watching tour and a local French restaurant which were recommended. They have an excellent reputation locally, everyone commented on how lucky we were to be staying there when we told them our hotel. A nice touch was the serving of hors d'oeuvres at 5 p.m. in the lounge, little treats cooked by the chef. Don't miss them, they're yummy! All in all, quirky and fun, and top quality to boot. Well pleased. Read more

"Positive Erfahrung"
Schön, dass es solche Hotels gibt. Auch die Hoteloberklasse kann in Abigail's Hotel noch etwas lernen. Leistung, Lage und Ausstattung stimmen und die Leistungsbereitschaft des Personals ist beeindruckend.
