This hotel is blocks from the ships with easy and affordable access if youre going on a cruise and 15 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale airport. "Night before cruise out of Ft Lauderdale"
Hotel was everything I wanted in my overnight stay before a cruise! Excellent choice--close to pier--shuttle service to pier(for small fee of $6.00pp)--within walking distance of shops and restaurants. "Convenient pre-cruise location"
The Renaissance is very convenient location prior to a cruise. No car needed. Some excellent restaurants are within walking distance. And very close to both water taxi and Sun Trolley, which can take you to the beach, Las Olas or Galleria Mall. Free breakfast was very good and plentiful. Room was comfortable and clean. "Nice property, but they need to work on service"
The property and the rooms are nice, the beds are decently comfortable (didn't like the down type pillows). Trouble is, nothing is included in room price, they charge for everything. I'm not accustomed to being charged $17 for internet access anymore - its just not the norm. And, I was under the impression they had an airport shuttle - which they don't […] and didn't hesitate to be snippy in educating me on. They're quite short in most of their service, in fact. Upon arriving it is completely confusing where to park. Covered level parking . While checking in they tell us about parking, it is a charge of $30 per day!!!!! They offer nothing for their guest without a fee! Breakfast is s buffet for $15 per person! I was attending a two-day seminar hosted by the hotel. Although check-in wasn't until 3PM, they allowed me to check in early during the seminar lunch break and they allowed me to check out a little late - after the next days lunch break.
