"Best for Family Vacations!"

Had a great time with my family here. Loved the suites design. Good location and beautiful ocean view. There were a lot to do in the Hilton Village. Do not miss the Honolulu Cookies! I will come back!
"Great location but a disappointing experience"

Stayed for a week in a king suite in the Kahlia Tower. They only clean the room and replace towels once a week so we had to call several times for more towels and coffee. They were brought promptly but wouldn't take the dirty towels or the garbage. So we left them outside in the hall where they sat until the next day. The mattress was lumpy and there were no sheets or blanket for the fold out couch which we also had to call for. I actually flipped the mattress myself which helped some but they should be doing that once a month themselves. Every time we stopped at the concierge to ask a question they tried to sell us something or get us to the timeshare presentation. The grounds were clean but very busy with people and traffic. The kids pool with waterslides is small and the ocean beach not very large or nice. Our rooftop pool was convenient and cozy but very cold water. When they did their luau every night (which is not highly rated) the noise echoed all around our building and was annoying. The power went off one day and the air conditioner controls lost their programming so it got hot in the rooms for a day until they came to re-set them. They would not work manually. Overall, it's a good location if you want to be in the thick of things and close to the ocean but everything is extremely expensive on-site. We did not find any good restaurants close by so had to walk several miles for food and shopping or take an expensive taxi.

Although the Hilton Hawaiian Village is the largest resort in all Hawaii, it does not feel crowded. The staff at the Hilton facilities is extremely accommodating and kind. We are physically challenged and everyone made us feel like we were their first and foremost focus. They shuttled us around the property in a large golf cart type vehicle, even to the beach. We were politely assisted every step of the way. The Lagoon Tower is spectacular for views and comfort. The room delivery menu was fresh and speedy. The restaurant options are excellent.
"Very average - Lagoon Tower"

Location of the huge Hilton "village" is great - right on the Waikiki beach, with weekly Friday night fireworks. It's short 15min walk to the Ala Moana shopping centre and ~15min to the main Waikiki shopping/restaurant strip. Taxi from the airport was 45 USD at 0730, peak hour traffic. Speedishuttle would have been $29 + tip but probably slower. For early arrivals/check out they have a lounge and lockers to have a shower and leave small bags. We had a one bedroom apartment in the Lagoon tower and whilst quite spacious was pretty dark, old and drab. There are newer towers which are probably more updated. We stayed on a point exchange, otherwise definitely would not have paid money to stay in this room. Because it's such a large complex, service is pretty poor. We called concierge and got an answering machine. The return message left on the answering machine was 3hrs later. I've also never seen a group of bell staff look so disinterested when approached.

This was our first stop on the start of a 5 week holiday. after getting off a long flight from Australia, we where greeted by a very unwelcoming/unfriendly lady at the reception. And the kids where upset that they didn't get given a leith This however was the only unfriendly so staff member we encountered everyone else was very friendly and helpful. Arriving in the morning it was nice to Able to use the guest lounge to wait for our room as jet lag set in, and even better when they advised they had our room available early and we where able to go an settle in prior to usual Checkin time. We where very appreciative. We stayed in. 2 bedroom suite. As we where travelling with our 2 children. The suite was very spacious, clean and well equipped. With a kitchen and washer and dryer. We where woken by the sounds of what must have been renovations with drilling and hammering starting around 9 each morning. the walls did seem thin as we could tend to hear them guests in the hall or talking in their rooms at times. And we could here the noise from the luau. The Hilton Hawaiian village has a lot of shops and restaurants. I recommend the italian Restaurant, Fresco, good food and great service. the hilton Grand Vacation Suites location is good, on the beach, walking distance to other restaurants and shops including the AlaMoana shopping centre. I would stay here again.

This was a great resort with plenty of on-site activities. However, it's pricey (of course most of Hawaii is pricey). A Don Quioti store is close by...get your food and other items from this place...much lower than the close-by WalMart. Located right on the beach...sunsets are gorgeous. If you don't want to hang out on property...there are plenty of restaurants, etc. within walking distance. A free U.S. Army museum is right across the street...it has a wealth of history.
"Great vacation with grandchildren"
We were very happy with this hotel stay. Lagoon tower room had a lot of space for us and our 3 granddaughters. Plenty of choices for restaurants, shopping and activities on site and within walking distance to dowtown area. More beach space than I had expected.
"FAVC resorts and staff are the best!"

As always, we enjoyed our recent stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We were on the 12th floor of the Lagoon Tower with both the garden and water view which we requested. The resort's maintenance has not change over the years, beautiful trees, grounds and flowers, a paradise! A little bit of an issue we had was the loud noise from the Luau and/or the Grand Lawn almost every night.
"Excellent for families."

We have stayed here many times over the years. The 2 bedroom suite has lots of room for a family. The suites are reasonably updated with new carpet and the furniture being in good condition. The kitchens are good but the tile flooring is a little worn. being white, it is hard to maintain. The bathrooms are in the same condition. There are bathtub/shower combos for those of you with small children needing to bath. The pools are excellent and the location is prime. There are little to no waves in front of the hotel making it a great choice for small children. Walk to Duke's Beach for the fun waves.
"Fun and convenient family trip"

This time it was a family trip with a baby and grandma vs. my previous time as a couple. There are a lot of kids at this resort so they have most stuff you need. No need to pack a lot, as there is a Wal-mart near Ala Moana too. Shaded areas by the pool are few and far between, but some of the more secluded pools were better and quieter. There is happy hour at one pool with discounted food and drinks. We had 2 double beds in a studio, and the kitchen was pretty cramped. The beds were fine in the middle but sagged a lot on the edges. They clean the rooms once per week, but you can always ask for more towels/supplies. The rest of our family was in a 1 BR which was very nice, like an 800 sq ft apartment. Some of them stayed at the hotel part of the resort (Ali'i Tower) for a few nights, and it was pretty nice, but no kitchen. There is lots of dining within a 10 min walk, but it's all pricey of course. If you stay on mainland time and have young kids, you might go to bed around 7-8PM, and it can be hard with all the city noise and luau/outdoor movie nights. Also if you have a car, valet is about the same price as self-park, and they are really fast 24-7, so you might as well use it.
