"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!

"Close enough to everything, far enough for quiet"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Very pleasant. We stayed directly in temple bar 3 nights before and wanted one night of quiet before we left. Receptionist was extremely helpful and even mailed a postcard for me so I wouldn't have to walk. Would stay again.

The Exchange - Decorated in Art Deco style, this light-filled restaurant serves Irish and international dishes for lunch and dinner. It has a popular Sunday jazz brunch. Guests can also take breakfast here.
The Atrium - This soaring, glass-ceilinged space in the center of the hotel has marble floors, a bar, and a selection of sofas and armchairs among the palm trees. Afternoon tea is served here and complimentary newspapers are available.
The Mint Bar - Downstairs from the lobby, the Mint Bar was the vault in this former bank building. The original vaulted ceiling and slate floor remain, and dark wooden paneling surrounds the central bar. A light lunch menu is offered. Black-and-white photos on the walls show how the room looked in its banking days.

"Excellent location"
The location is perfect. We could not have chosen a better hotel! The staff very friendly and helpful! The hotel made our trip even better!
"Respite, Thy Name is Westin"
After 2 weeks in Ireland/Scotland, we booked our last 2 nights at the Westin Dublin before flying back to the States because we knew it would be a great way to cap off our vacation. We were not disappointed. Love, love, love the king-size Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath features. Our room was the closest to the elevators, but we never heard a thing. […] Excellent location, as the Temple Bar district (tons of restaurants, things to see and do) starts right across the street. Step out the front door and Trinity College is to your left. Starbucks and The Milkshake Bar 5 min away. St. Patrick's Cathedral and Christ Church were 15-minute walks. Hop On Hop Off tour bus stops right there and plenty of taxis. And, dang, what is it about Westins that they always smell so nice! Great property. Highly recommended. (Note: I am Starwood Gold, but they didn't realize that until midway through our stay, so the service was great even without them realizing that I have high status in their loyalty program.) "Loved it"
Everything was fantastic...I would definitely stay here again!
"Friendliest staff and most convenient location"
The Westin Dublin is conveniently located across from Temple Bar and adjacent to Trinity College. History, culture, pubs and great restaurants ate steps from the hotel. The hotel staff, from every level, are so professional and friendly it is as if they received special courtesy bonuses. My flight landed early and I arrived at the hotel before six a.m. […] They held out bags, gave us a place to freshen up and expedited a room for us after giving us recommendations of places to eat. The hotel's restaurant is great and competitively priced. On Friday nights there is a salsa party on the lower level of the hotel. I stayed on the club floor and the room was large and luxuriously appointed. I wished I could have packed the shower and the bed and taken them home. You will have an incredibly stay at this hotel. "Great Stay"
Great hotel in a central location. Very satisfied and would certainly stay here again
"Westin Hotel in Dublin"
Elegant but cozy, superb service, absolutely perfect location. This is an ideal place to stay in Dublin. Having said all this, be prepared that the rooms are a bit small by US standards, and the rooms tended to be overheated and it was not possible to control the thermostat in the individual room. However, bathrooms and amenities are wonderful.

"Excellent location, service, and rooms!"
Huge rooms, best location in the city. Convenient to Grafton St., Temple Bar, Trinity College, Dublin Castle, etc. Right down the street from the River Liffey. Very easy to find, great service, really clean- Definitely recommend staying here!
"Great Location"
Can't beat the location. Walking distance from all the main tourist areas. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space. We didn't interact with the staff much, but the ones we did were helpful and friendly.
"Westin, College Green, Dublin"
Close to Trinity College, Temple Bar area, and the pick-up location for the Stena Line ferry bus. Staff very accommodating. A Sunday night, restaurant closed, but dinner in basement bar was satisfactory. People at reception were very helpful at checkout, nuch beyond the norm. Highly recommend.
"Great Location and Great Hotel - But Expensive"
Excellent location next to Trinity College and all Dublin has to offer. Bed was extremely comfortable - this is not the case at other 4 star places we stayed throughout Ireland. Price is very expensive and we weren't there in summer. We stayed down the street another night back in Dublin and the place wasn't quite as nice, but 1/3 of the price. WiFi […] was not free -- and was free everywhere else we stayed in Ireland (including other Dublin hotels). Read more
"Great Location Very Friendly Staff"
Outstanding location. Staff was very friendly and the hotel breakfast was superb. Very much enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend the hotel.
"Westin dublin"
The first night the air conditioning left the room way too warm for my comfort. The problem was rectified satisfactorily by the second night.
"Great location, but worth the price?"
This hotel is perfectly located across from Trinity, Temple Bar and just down the street from Grafton Street and St. Stephan's Green. However, for the price, I wonder if it is worth it. One of the important things we looked for was parking for our rental car. The site said it had valet parking. Turned out that they only have a few spots and they sent […] us to a parking garage down the street - not what I was looking for and very inconvenient. Although the room was tastefully decorated and generous in size, the bathroom was a bit dated and the toilets didn't flush adequately. Finally, on the day of our departure, we went to breakfast before checking out, and came back to discover that they had already cleaned our room for the next guest and had removed the cot in the room, which still contained my daughters ipod and doll. It took considerable time to track the items down - very frustrating when you are trying to leave and catch a flight. All in all I was not impressed with the service or the facilities. Read more

"Perfect location"
The hotel was excellent. Perfect location, quiet, clean, great amenities, good service, and reasonably priced.
"Great Location"
The Westin Dublin is around the corner from everything. Temple Bar, Trinity College and the train station were all very close and locations that we visited on our stay.
"Westin in Dublin Ireland"
Hotel and people working there are excellent. Everything I expected and much more. Only negative was the people coming in at 3 or 4am - Dubin has lots of bars/clubs.
"Westin Dublin"
Our stay at the Westin Dublin was just about as perfect as one could expect. The location is so city central that we could walk virtually anywhere that we wanted to go. Peter the doorman is a gem and is now like a family friend, plus he saved us when we accidentally left a bag at the door upon departure to the airport. Peter sent the bag out to us on […] another cab and all worked out well. My only complaint is that Wi-Fi is very expensive, plus it only works on one devise when you pay for it. We had two computers and an iPhone but had to select one or pay the high price multiple times. I gripe because the low priced hotels have free Wi-Fi, and the more expensive ones charge a lot sometimes. I should also add that the Mint Bar downstairs is a hidden jewel. It was hopping well into the night most nights and was a great place to fall in to at the end of the night. The locals kept asking us how we were so lucky to know about the Westin and the Mint. We will be back if and when we return to Dublin!! Read more
"Close to Trinity College"
This hotel location was perfect--near Grafton Street, Temple Bar, and walking distance to wonderful restaurants. The only problem we had was finding it--the address of "at College Green" when typed into the GPS placed us just beyond the actual doorway to the hotel and we drove around a large circle of one-way streets and pedestrian only boulevards to […] find the drop off point. The hotel entrance is actually on Westmoreland Street on the map. The name was way up--out of sight of the passenger seat when we first drove by and there was nobody outside to valet-porter our luggage. Read more
"The Westin Dublin"
This hotel is rated 5 star, but felt more like 4 star. The bed was a double - I would expect a King in a 5 star. There was no free Internet access - again, I would expect free Internet access in a 5 star. Shower was tiny. I was pretty disappointed with the hotel - I had higher expectations since it is a 5 star. Location was great though.
"Disappointing. Better choices in Dublin."
Doorman's presence was spotty. Lobby is old and tired. Signage weak. When we asked to have the window adjusted so we could open it, it took a day and a second request. Toilet didn't flush easily. The cost of Internet was quite high-- Way overrated!!!
"Good hotel, room not so great"
The Westin is a historic hotel, located in the heart of Dublin. We were able to walk to all toall of the sights from this location. However, our room was quite small overlooking the inside corridor resulting in noise emanating from the bar area. Breakfast was not included in room rate, but we did eat at the hotel and they provided a generous buffet […] . Read more
"The Westin Dublin- great hotel, great location"
Everything was great about this hotel. It is close to everything and is just outside Temple Bar, but doesn't get any of the noise from Temple Bar. The concierge was helpful in suggesting places to dine and things to go see. The only dissappointment was they didn't have any real pull to get you reservations at places that were busy. Other hotels seem […] to have that. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and the room was great. Read more
"Westin almost perfect"
Perfect location in Dublin, pefect room and amenties, perfect interior decorations...but all things considered a but pricey in food and drinks..so just didn't eat there. Otherwise a great stay!!!
"Great location"
Hotel was very clean, staff friendly & efficient and the location was excellent. Literally next door to Trinity and three mins to Grafton St. As an aside, same taxi driver charged us one rate from airport to hotel and 10 euros more to go back to airport (with no tolls or parking cost to him). He was not affiliated with the hotel.
The Westin in Dublin is a lovely hotel close to Trinity College and the Temple Bar district. We enjoyed our stay. We reserved two rooms and one of the rooms was not ready when we arrived at 6:00 pm and check-in time is 4:00 pm. They offered us tea but we had plans and needed to freshen up and leave. Our daughter didn't receive the key to her room until […] we returned around 9:30 pm. I did expect better service from the Westin. Read more
"Great hotel. great location"
Efficient and friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Super location for sight seeing etc. The Mint was very noisy and not very efficient or helpful, but the Exchange was well managed with polite, efficient and friendly staff, both in the evening and for breakfast. Great value.

"Great hotel convenient location"
The hotel was rght in the heart of Dublin, about 2 blocks from the pubs and energy of Temple Bar, but without the late night crowd noise. It was also close to the Liffey, Trinity College and was convenient to hop-on, hop-off bus tours. The concierge was very helpful in arranging reservations for the musical pub crawl (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) and the "Food, […] Folk and Faries" Irish storytelling evening. Room was adequately sized and comfortable. If we ever go back to Dublin, we'll stay there again Read more
"Atrium rooms can be stuffy"
We were offered an inside atrium facing room or an outside street facing room. Sadly, we chose the atrium facing room which was warm and stuffy. The AC if it had any was not available and the windows were useless. For the price, I think you can do better.
"Wonderful! Perfect location"
This hotel is in the heart of Dublin. Minutes from Temple Bar, St Stephen's Green, and Grafton St you couldn't ask for a better location. It's easy to get out and walk around or hop the train (Tara Station is a few blocks away) and head to Belfast or Howth or some other destination. The hotel was lovely - just what I expect from a Westin. Comfortable, […] American style rooms with a large bed and beautiful bathroom. Absolutely worth every penny. We'll stay there again when we return. Read more
"Absolutely perfect experience"
Loved everything about this hotel. The bed and pillows were superbly comfortable. The location was in the heart of Dublin, conveniently located near everything. The staff were extremely helpful on a number of items both relating and not relating to our hotel experience. The price was extremely competitive, especially when taking into account the experience […] received. Absolutely highly recommended. Our second Westin stay and thus far, we are big fans! Read more
"Great staff, great location, maid service needs improvement"
We loved this hotel and the location (right next to Trinity College and walking distance to shopping and Temple Bar). But, the room was not cleaned very well during our entire stay (hair in the bathroom, crumbs on the floor etc.). Also, steer clear of the room service ($30+ dollars per person for breakfast). Overall, we were happy and would stay […] there again. Read more
"Great location, and better hotel"
We stayed two nights at the start of a three week trip driving around Ireland, and two nights at the end of the trip, when we could compare this property with many others all over the country. It's a fine hotel, after all it is a Westin, but the staff are beyond wonderful. They simply couldn't do enough for us, including unloading our rental car at rush […] hour, giving directions for its return, and when we arrived, our luggage was in the room we hadn't even checked into yet! Try to get a room on the Trinity College side, it's much quieter. We'll stay here again. Read more
"Excelent"
Westin is an excelent option for your stay!
"The westin - brilliant location!"
Lovely hotel! We had a deluxe room on the fourth floor. Room was very spacious and extremely comfortable and well appointed, only downside was a rather unfortunate view from our window! Hotel is in a fab location, easy walking distance to bars and restaurants and the airport bus and on off bus tour stops are only metres away! Staff were friendly and […] attentive, it was my husbands birthday which i had only mentioned in passing, and we came back to a lovely cake and birthday message! Definitely recommend. Read more

Booked room for myself and my two daughters and although they knew there would be three of us in the same room it wasn't prepared for us when we checked in. Makeshift bed was delivered to the room while we were there and set up in the middle of the floor space which was small to be a king size deluxe suite. Also only two bath towels and tv did not […] work. Read more
