Not used to paying parking at a hotel, it $15.00/night with in/out privleges. The Breakfast Buffet $15.00 with made to order omlette. I'd expect to pay that or more in Chicago or New York, but not Minneapolis. But maybe that's just me. All in All the facility is top notch.

I have to say my experience at The Depot is the best one I've had so far with any place that I have stayed. Every employee there made you feel welcomed and they were all in good spirits, and that meant a lot especially since that was a day everyone was converging on the cities due to the Viking/Packer football game that night and they were very busy. I plan on staying at The Depot again in the future and will recommend it to everyone.

The hotel itself was gorgeous when first walking in. However, once we got into our room (after having to walk to the front desk a second time to get a key that actually worked), we walked into a room that had not been clean; it looked as though someone had been in one of the beds, there was garbage in the garbage cans, used soap, and some personal belongings from the previous guests that had not been cleaned up. They did apologize and gave us a new room, but for the price we paid, we shouldn't have had to do that. When we went to eat in the hotel restaurant, we waited 20 minutes for a water because our waitress was too busy flirting with the guys at the bar.

The hotel is fine and the staff very service oriented. It was a great stay. The location isn't great, depending upon where you need to go downtown. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the IDS Bldg and the Warehouse district. Or, about the same over the bridge (over the Mississippi) to the St. Anthony's area. But the area withing 2-3 blocks of the hotel is not very nice.

We stayed here for a wedding which took place in the hotel as well. I have no complaints except that it seems that "Non Smoking" means "no one actively smoking in the room while you're there", because the smoke smell hit me in the face when I walked in the room. Otherwise, the room was nice, the staff was courteous, and the bed was incredibly comfy.

The Depot Minneapolis is a charm. It's like staying in a museum with all of the wonderful memorabelia relating back to the Milwaukee Railroad days of yore. White statues throughout the hotel depict scenes of the past...an older couple kissing goodbye (or hello), a serviceman going off to war. Suitcases let you know this train's leaving the station. The rooms were wonderful and spacious. The food delightful. The waterpark is an extra charge, but worth it.

Booking a hotel on-line in a city you have never been to before can be worrying, particularly when, as in my case, it is to be a venue to interview prospective new employees. Well I had no need to worry, the hotel was great, great fun and great quality, the staff were even greater, nothing was too much trouble and at least two of them are keen to visit the UK in the near future and I have promised to make sure they see the best of my country. Even if your stay in Downtown Minneapolis is to be a short one, don't miss out on this gem!

The price I paid for the room was pretty high, but I expected that with it being downtown. The room was rather small, but nice and comfortable. However, I didn't expect everything additional to cost extra, such as parking (ridiculously high), breakfast (no continental, and expensive for a basic meal), and movies (higher pay-per-view movie prices than I've ever seen when travelling). The convenient location was nice, but the cost of all the extras was much more than I expected.

Historic hotel in downtown location. I would return once they have fixed the most serious problem...the noise. The rooms facing the street have single pane windows that do little to block the noise of traffic. Since this street leads to one of the few bridge crossings there is traffic around the clock which make it impossible to sleep through the night. The check out clerk said that they are installing better windows that will improve the situation.

We had a very nice stay. The hotel is based on a previous life as a Milwaukee Road Railway depot and has historical exhibits and pictures. Yet, the facilitiees are modern and very comfortable. The restaurant features a nice reasonable priced menu, and the bar area is comfortable and charming, with the same menu as the restaurant. Rooms are nicely laid out and, once again, comfortable. The location is within 4 blocks of the Metrodome, if that's important, and it's also near the downtown area.

This hotel stay offered everything. The weekend that we stayed the hotel was also hosting a wedding, however, this was never an inconvenience or disruption to our use of the hotel/services, etc. Also, we were oblivious to the fact that there was a water park in the hotel for the fact that it was so quiet and there was no overwhelming "chlorine smell" that some pools tend to give off. Had we been traveling with kids we would have sought out this amenity, but it was nice to know that we weren't sacrificing quality staying in a hotel that offered one. The hotel was beautiful and the service was outstanding - up to and including the valet offering us directions for the quickest route out of the downtown area during the major sporting event that afternoon. I will visit this hotel again, and plan to recommend it to family/friends as well.
