"Great Hotel for the Money"

I spent a week on vacation visiting Hilton Head, Cherokee, Gatlinburg and Chattanooga. The one night that we spent at the Courtyard by Marriott in Chattanooga was the best hotel stay we had all week long. Pleasant associates, internet access, indoor pool and steps from restaurants, movie theater and museums (including the aquarium).

We loved this hotel! Fantastic location across from IMAX and right around corner from aquarium. Lots of great restaurants nearby, in particular the seafood and steak place across the street. Also a movie theater around the corner. I loved the bath products and will buy some online. My only complaint: parking wasn't included and it was cold and rainy so we had to walk around the block to get to the lot.

Great area of Chattanooga. Very nice hotel. You kind have to go over the river and through the woods to park for $7.00.

This was a great hotel, clean large room, a wonderful and attentive staff. One of the best Courtyards around. Would highly recommend it to anyone!

On a good note, the location could not have been any better. It was centrally located to everything we wanted to do and see. The service was very nice. On a bad note, the bed was the hardest bed I have ever, tryed, to sleep on. The pillows were cheap and the towels felt like sand paper. They obviously don't use fabric softener. The tissue and toilet paper was cheap as well. I'm not very hard to please, but all of these things combined made for a terrible stay. I didn't know that the continental breakfast was not included in our stay, so my husband and I ate and were about to leave and one of the hotel staff gave us a bill to sign for our room to be billed for breakfast! It was not cheap either. I feel that for what we paid for our visit, it was not worth it. The hotel skimped on a lot of things they shouldn't have.
