"Decent place to stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The room was comfortable, clean and in a good location for our needs. What more could one ask for the price.
"A very clean room!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The hotel appears nearly new. When I first opened the door to my room, I expected that "cleaning smell" but there was nothing. No smell at all. I slept like a baby.

"I'll be returning again"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
When I arrived the desk clerk was extremely friendly and went out of his way to explain the amenities, where my room was, and even where the most convenient place to park would be. The room itself was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in and had a comfortable bed, several pillows of varying firmness so that you could find the one that was most comfortable to you, and generally was a very nice place to stay. There is free internet but I did have a couple of minor complaints about the internet connection but it is provided through a service call IBahn which requires you to navigate your browser to their portal and either accept the free internet (at reduced speeds) or purchase a faster connection. The free internet was sufficient for my needs but I felt like this was an unnecessary step and one that was not in fitting with the rest of the experience. I was also unable to connect directly to the internet connection in my room and had to rely on a wireless connection. As an IT professional I do not like to use public wi-fi due to a number of security concerns and prefer a direct connection. Because of this I would not have felt comfortable using the free internet for anything secure (banking, credit purchases, etc) but since I had no need to do any of this it was a very minor inconvenience. The hotel is located just off I-75 and is very conveniently located. All in all I would highly recommend it and plan on staying here again when I return next spring.
"where I wanted to be"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
I enjoyed my stay. They could have had more to eat for breakfast.

"PERFECT"
Wonderful staff, very comfortable room, and within walking distance of everything. Short drive to Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls.
"to expand on my "4" for the neighborhood..."
I wanted to explain my "4" on the surrounding neighborhood. My husband & I chose this hotel because it is across the street from the aquarium. We really enjoyed the two restaurants we visited in that area. However, that night we were approached a handful of times by people walking the streets asking for money. While it didn't deter us from enjoying […] our walk, I know that that would make a lot of people feel uncomfortable. The hotel was excellent and we enjoyed Chattanooga enough that we plan to make a return trip & spend a longer weekend exploring what they have! Read more
"Mariott Courtyard-Chattanooga-close to everything!"
Our rooms (connecting) were great. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were able to park the car upon arrival and walk to all the must-see sights in the area. The grandkids didn't even mind the short distance to the Discovery Museum, aquarium, riverwalk etc. Many varied restuarants were also within walking distance. What a pleasure! […] Our two days were a fun, short diversion during Grandma's stay is Nashville. Look forward to returning to explore other sights. Read more
"Perfect Location"
This hotel is in a perfect location - it is within walking distance of everything you would want to do in Downtown Chattanooga; lots of restaurants around the hotel; about a minute walk to the Aquarium; about 2 minutes walk to the Hunter Art Museum and the pedestrian bridge to North Shore shops. Great stay!!
"Coutyard at Marriott"
The room I stayed in had a great view of the TN river and the TN aquarium. Very small fridge and no microwave in room. Microwave located on first floor by lobby. Very clean and comfortable. Great location for the Chattanooga downtown area and attractions. Great hotel staff and refreshment bar. Would go back given a choice. Get reservations online or […] the price is way higher. No complaints to note. Read more
"Wonderful people working at a beautiful hotel"
From the moment we checked in until we left, this hotel exceeded almost all of our expectations. The staff- Anthony at the Front Desk, Alyssa in the restaurant and Whitney on the Front Desk at night- were (are) terrific! I arrived prior to scheduled check in and I was able to get into my room early. When you drive 2 hours non-stop with a 5 year old […] and a Grandma, an early check in can be a lifesaver. Our room was nice, but this was the first of two 4 star (instead of 5 star) comments. The room itself was suitable, but the entry area was small and difficult to maneuver with a luggage cart. I would have liked the entry into the room to be wider as it was near the bathroom, sink, closet and door. The room came with 2 queen beds and a pullout settee and a view of the garage and heating ducts. Oh well. The pool was warm and inviting. However, the big pool does need a scrubbing as it seems to be suffering from bathtub ring. The whirlpool was fab and I could have spent hours just relaxing in the water. At dinner time,. we ordered in Chinese food. While we waited for the food to arrive, we hung out in the restaurant/seating area. This hip and modern area boasts 3 separate seating area with individual televisions. We whiled away time waiting for the food by watching TV and having fun. Alyssa, the server, allowed us to eat the Chinese food in the dining area without a fuss. She even provided plates, silverware and water. She was kind and generous even without a tip looming on a check (we did leave a tip, by the way). Whitney oversaw the entire operation that night and she was terrific. Eating in was a highlight of our visit. Overall, this was a great hotel and the people were top-notch. I'd stay here again, and look forward to my next visit. Read more

"Courtyard by Marriott Chattanooga Downtown"
Excellent for walking distance to all of the night life. Although can be a little noisy if you retire early. Close to the Aquarium and museums for family vacations.
"Courtyard Marriott in Chattanooga."
We were delighted with our stay at this hotel. It was in walking distance from the Imax Theater, The Tennessee Aquarium, and The Children's Museum. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definately stay there again.

"Great Hotel for the Money"
I spent a week on vacation visiting Hilton Head, Cherokee, Gatlinburg and Chattanooga. The one night that we spent at the Courtyard by Marriott in Chattanooga was the best hotel stay we had all week long. Pleasant associates, internet access, indoor pool and steps from restaurants, movie theater and museums (including the aquarium).
