it was ok. My wife couldn't walk up the stairs and they found a room on the first floor. This is hotel was built with out an elevator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Unusual smell and don't expect breakfast"
The hotel was right off the highway on our route. The hotel had an unusual smell in the hallway. Breakfast was pathetic. There was a waffle machine but no batter. The bisquits were hard as rocks. This hotel should be downgraded to an econolodge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a great time at the Quality Inn. I stayed for a full week and felt that the staff were particularly accommodating allowing me access to the hotel's freezer. They were great about cleaning the room and making sure I had clean towels and a clean room. The room itself was very spacious and had a nice table for working. The road in front of the hotel […] is a one-way, so it was a little inconvenient for traveling the opposite direction. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right off the interstate!"
This was a pleasant place. It does need a little bit more cleaning to certain areas, but pleasant none the less.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel lobby was dirty with seedy people standing around. The bathroom and tub were not cleaned and the towels were stained. Overall was just pathetic. We arrived at 3 AM and just needed a few hours of sleep or we would have left. Also, the advertised breakfast was a roll and juice. Will never go back and would never recommend to anyone. Good hotel, very clean and respecting. First floor has a strong smell of cigarettes but the second floor is very nice and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not a bad place at all. The manager was very nice, if a bit talkative.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was not clean. Had asked for extra towels and didn't receive them. Could not connect to the internet. Shower wall had a fist sized hole and crack in it. Also saw mold in the bathroom. Staff was not courteous or helpful. Parking lot was in need of repair.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not bad at all. I was worried that it may be in a bad part of town but its in a safe area, with cameras in the parking lot. good price, good stayGenuine Expedia guest review
I asked for a 3 star hotel and this definitely was not. The room had an odor to it.Genuine Expedia guest review
Only there for one night but was very nice. Breakfast area was well stocked in the morning and very clean with a good variety of food. The only thing that went a little wrong was the tub did not drain very fast at all.Genuine Expedia guest review
"DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!"
We were there for a dance competition and had numerous suitcases and bags to be brought in, however, there was no elevator so we had to carry all the things upstairs and then of course back down the next day. The room was ok, the bed not that comfortable. The hot breakfast was a waffle. The only lady there was checking people out so we had to wait for […] her to finish before she could get the batter, which took so long we ended up eating dry cereal because there was no milk. The comfort suites for $10 more on the same lot was amazing for all my friends. Next time I'll book earlier!!!!!!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"West Memphis Quality Inn"
I've stayed in other Quality Inn's and this one left a lot to be desired. There was construction on the entrance way roof and the workers were not watching where they were throwing things off the roof. The room when we got in there did not have the air on. It was very hot. The hallways were not airconditioned. There was no elevator. We had to lug our […] stuff up the stairs to the second floor. The bathroom needed to be updated. I was not satisfied. "Smells Bother Me"
08/06/14 Sandy S Dallas, Texas
Smells bother me and this hotel lobby and hall smelled like old smoker house. The hotel is being renovated so the paint, carpet, and furnishings are new in lobby and halls. The room was big but the furnishings were older, chairs had been recovered. The room did not smell. It looked clean but bed and chairs were not comfortable. Sheets and towels are very thin to the point of see-through. Internet was great. A/C was great. There was a frig and microwave. Desk hostess was a bit rough in manners but nice and helpful. Forget the continental breakfast. Coffee was watery, orange juice was colored water, cereal was left in containers all night, pastries were stale and chilled from being in cold storage, biscuit was really bad. We opted for McDonald's $1 sausage biscuits down the road. Room would have been priced right for what we got if breakfast was edible. As it was, it was over priced and an uncomfortable stay. I recommend the inn next store for just $20 more and get a discount from AR welcome center across the highway. You get what you get when you're cheap like me.

We stayed at this hotel the evening of 7/27/14. The interstate and roads around the hotel are under construction, which make the hotel hard to access. When we walked in the hotel, you could tell that they were remodeling, as there were pallets of boxes everywhere in the lobby. This also took up some of the breakfast area. The neighborhood of the hotel seemed "sketchy." We took everything out of our vehicle and put it in our room for fear that our vehicle was going to get broken into. The lady at the front desk that evening seemed stressed out about something, and it was clearly affecting her performance at her job. The lady the next morning was even worse. She was wearing Adidas sandals with socks, which did not look professional at all. Her shirt was untucked and wrinkled. She seemed to want to be anywhere else but at work. The hotel room needed updating (Perhaps why they were remodeling). There were holes in the carpet, a table leg was about to fall off, there were stains on parts of the bed, and I even found a blood stain on the top sheet of my bed. There was no updated channel guide to the TV in the room. We had a non-smoking room, but the hallway and the room smelled like smoke. It was nice to have a flat screen TV on the wall, as it left more counter space on the dresser to put things. I do have to say that the bed was at least comfortable.
"Not a bad stay"
06/30/14 JoeJohnson78 Conway, Arkansas
Not a bad little motel. Overall it was a good stay. We were looking for a SAFE place to stay outside of Memphis. The motel isn't the nicest but it was clean and kept up. The staff was friendly. My main concern was safety and to make sure my automobile left with everything it came with. As stated below, there is no elevator, so if that is a concern, ask for a bottom room floor. Overall, I would stay in this motel again.
""Has some flaws - but overall good""

We encountered a massive storm moving in and had to get off the road. We were offered an excellent rate considering our predicament. Cleanliness of the room was very good. The bedspread had cigarette burns in it but was clean. There were lots of coupons at the front desk for different food delivery services which was helpful considering we could not drive in the storm. Breakfast was limited but OK for the price we paid. Very motorcycle friendly hotel. We were allowed to park our motorcycles under the canopy so they would not be exposed to the high winds and be blown over. Thank you.
"I will never go there again"
A lot of hotel where booked up do to Memphis in May so my sister told me I should be able to find a room across the bridge in West Memphis,AR. I went to two other hotels and there was no more available rooms so on my way to another hotel I saw this one and they had a few room available. I ask the lady at the front desk how much will a room be for two nights with tax and she told me $110 it sound like a good deal so I purchased the room. I got into the room and all the towels where dirty in the bathroom and the light by the door wouldn't come on. Went to the front desk to let them know and they gave me more towels and wrote a report for their maintenance man to look at the light. That's morning I got up to eat breakfast their and everything was stone cold you have to put everything in the microwave and their coffee taste like tea. They didn't have no meat and you have to constantly find the people at the front desk for help. I could wait to leave to leave there. I checked out the hotel and was looking at my recited and realized they told me one price but charged me something else. they charged me $250 for two nights for a place that wasn't worth a $100. When I went back to discuss the bill could no one tell me anything. They will never get my business again.
"Very clean and large room"
04/28/14 Kimberly D Abilene, Texas
The only downfall to this hotel was that we asked for a non-smoking room in which that is what we got but the hallway all the way down the non-smoking area reeked of smoke. The room itself didn't smell thankfully otherwise we would have changed hotels. The room in itself was large and and so it the bathroom.
03/17/14 Vicki S Cleveland, Tennessee
I would have rated the hotel as "average" if it weren't for the VERY friendly staff and very large room. The room was very clean, but the furniture is scratched and scuffed and needing some updating. The breakfast was average. The bed was very comfortable. CONS: Bedspread stained. The hallway carpets don't look like they've been vacuumed in quite some time. The towels are VERY thin and we were only provided with 2. We needed at least one more. We were only given 2 paper cups. Total. That means, the cup we'd used to drink water in had to also be used for coffee. --It made us feel like the management was too cheap and stingy to provide even the bare necessities. No elevator. We had to haul our luggage up a back staircase to get to our room.
"Spacious room friendly staff"
03/05/14 Doctor_D_in_IL Springfield, Illinois
We were caught in bad weather. It took us 7.5 hours to get from Little Rock to West Memphis and I am thankful for finding a room. The power was out in some of the area so locals were looking for rooms as well as travelers who were exhausted from driving. I am also thankful that management didn't take advantage of the supply and demand conditions and jack up the rates. The room was very big. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk had been going on next to no sleep and had been there for way too long. It was obvious she was exhausted. I felt bad asking her where places were to get food, etc. I felt even worse when she was still there in the morning. The breakfast was solid. It had some cereal, fruit, pastries and waffles. Not spectacular but not terrible. The only negative about this hotel was that there were some bugs in the room. If not for the bugs, I would have rated my experience here as a 5.
"We got lucky- sometimes there is nothing wrong with "average""
03/05/14 CultureChic419 Midwest, USA
It was getting dark and, suddenly decided to get a room in West Memphis. The location of this Quality Inn (1009 South Service Road) is in what AT THE TIME felt like a "sketchy" area. Off the interstate it was very dark, and some construction going on was confusing. There were tons of trucks in the parking lot- many laborers must stay there for extended times. ?? I believe that there were some workers there doing some maintenance or remodel work on the hotel. When finally got into the tricky parking entrance, I was actually surprised at how the lobby area smelled fine and looked clean. The front desk woman was nice....BUT as I have seen in other reviews, it is true that the staff here seem to be either really tired or over-worked or under-paid or SOMETHING is definitely going on. It was almost as if the hotel were "running" itself. There was truly a lack of employees working. But again, friendly. Maybe it is a regional, local attitude. Not sure. I first got a price quote on a non-smoking room with 2 queens. I THEN WENT AND CHECKED THE ROOM BEFORE PAYING. Fellow travelers, don't complain if you check into a room and it is a crap hole and you can't get your money refunded. ALWAYS see the room first. Room checked out fine. It was on first floor, located very close to the lobby area. It had a fridge in it. Restroom was clean and had plenty of towels (enough for 3 people) and a couple of in-expensive nic nac shampoos (NOT a nice abundance of Body Shop fancy lotions etc. you would get at a more expensive hotel.) But o.k. Shower had warm water and good pressure. Amazingly it was clean enough to take a bath in. The room was actually on the larger side and it was great having enough space for tons of luggage etc. Room did NOT smell like smoke nor sticky pets. The a.c. worked very nicely. Even checked under the comforters and the sheets were in good condition. Got a AAA discount and paid about $70 for the night. It appeared that there was an outdoor swimming pool just outside of our window, but I didn't see nor hear anyone there. Very tired and still not sure about what part of town we were in...asked front desk clerk for directions to near fast food and one person in our travel party ventured out (without any problems) driving at dark and was able to bring back Wendy's to the room. I can be very picky. There was truly nothing really wrong with our room. My white socks didn't end up dirty from walking on the carpet. Beds were comfy enough. Cable worked. Locks worked on door. Honestly ended up feeling safe and secure. Had no problems with our vehicle parked on the property. It appeared all of the rooms were entered via the one main hotel entrance, which was fine. Next morning at breakfast...again , felt like we were in the "twilight zone" or something as not sure what the deal is with the staff. I believe the person helping put the breakfast together was a boyfriend of the front desk clerk. It was just your average Choice Hotels breakfast. I figure that if you can find something to eat and drink for the value of @ $3 a person then you have got your money's worth on the free breakfast. Check out went fine. Couldn't find anything really wrong with this place, as I usually take notes and keep good travel logs. I would NOT pay any more than the rate we got for this hotel. Is this hotel really worth the $70 + range? NO. Now days, most hotels/motels are not worth what is charged. But it seems to be the going rate in the area. Personally, I think it should be more like $55 or $60. In reflection, I am glad we chose this hotel and didn't pay for one in the higher price range, especially since this was just for an overnight. I would consider staying in this hotel again only if had to stay in West Memphis. I would also want to arrive before dark and take a look at a couple other hotels. As I mentioned, we were lucky and everything turned out fine. I would give it a try. Happy Travels~*
"Older hotel but still OK"

While older, the room was clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very convenient to Memphis, and easy to access. Seemed clean, and the breakfast was adequate. We would recommend it.
