The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

Have stayed here several times before. Love staying on the Lido, a vaporetto ride with a wonderful persepective of San Marco square. The hotel is a few... short blocks from the vaporetto stop. I only have two things to be dissatisfied with on this stay: 1. At arrival (which was after 10pm), there was no way for me to collect my access card, as it was in an envelope in the reception. When I finally got it (some friendly guests arriving let me in to collect it), the card did not work. When I wanted to exit, it lead to me at some point being […] trapped in the area between the gate and the entrance. The intercom connecting with the remotely situated hotel person also had a really bad connection. Though this person did a good job managing the situation, it was a not a pleasent start at the stay. 2) The shower did not drain well, leading to it being flooded when showering. Had great fun getting to and from this hotel on the water buses! A good spot to stay, and nice to cross the water after visiting Venice. The hotel reception staff were 'ok'...the decor is like something out of the 30's, great if you're into that kinda thing! We upgraded to a room with a balcony, which I'd recommend as the room wasn't exactly spacious. […] I'd also recommend the local supermarket which was selling Prosecco at a quarter of the price of anywhere else! ;) Close enough to the beach too and the surrounding area/houses are very nice. Hotel internet didn't work though which was a bit annoying but not exactly the end of the world. Pretty good place to stay. Read more

Overall the Hotel Edera waslovely, very quaint. Our room was very small and we would have liked a balcony but the cleanliness was second to none, our towels were changed daily and room cleaned. Hotel staff friendly and helpful we would love to return in the future.

Cute hotel in a great place to visit Venice when you have a car. I think we must have had the same lady on check-in who treated us and our questions as if we were a bother but all other staff were great. The rooms were small but very pretty. E' al Lido, a 5 minuti dal traghetto che raggiunge San Marco in 15-20 minuti. Camere non enormi ma piuttosto confortevoli, bagno piccolo, nuovo e pulito. Colazione ok. Un buon compromesso: non si è vicinissimi alle attrazioni della città, ma si evitano i più alti prezzi degli alberghi di quelle zone.

Haupt-Exit-Ausgang des Hotels u. das Aussentor waren verschlossen .........ziemliche Aufregung um 02.30 in der Hotelhalle; zum Glück war es nur ein Fehlalarm. Ansonsten haben wir das Hotel zum 2. Mal gewählt.

Das Zimmer ist zwar klein aber alles sauber und das Hotel ist soweit ok. Wir waren fuer zwei Naechte hier und fanden alles sehr nett. Die Lage ist super, nur 5min zum Wasserbus, der alle 10min bis Venedig geht.

We stayed 2 nigths in a 3 persons room with balcony. the price was very good and the only backdeal of staying in Lido is the fact that you have to pay for the public transport to go to the central venice. Morgens einen Kaffee am Lido, anschliessend nach Venedig und bei der Hinfahrt erst noch Blick auf den Markusplatz. Das Hotel selber ist unkompliziert, ruhig gelegen und umgeben von kleinen Restaurants und Bars, falls einem nicht nach Touristenrummel zu Mute ist. Gerne wieder.
