"Room with view of Saint Peter"
Good hotel in the area of "Pineta Sacchetti". Some rooms have view of Saint Peter. Garage with self parking is only 5 euro/day, but at check-out they told us that it was free for us. Great service. Good breakfast. We appreciated the fact that the room can be left the last day at noon.

"Pleasant stay"
The hotel is not much to look at but the friendly staff, reasonable rooms, ample parking and proximity to the city made for a good experience. Breakfast was also really nice.

"Worst stay EVER!"
Staffs weren't nice, few were very rude, the "nice" ones were pretenders rather sincerely nice. They tried to sell us EVERYTHING of their services, made us feel like we were in an used car dealership! Room's walls were not sound proof, we literally heard every tiny bit of noise from our neighbors.

"Nice Family hotel."

Stay was good. beds need upgrading. the cost for wi fi was too much it is $10 per person per device so if you have 2 cell phones and 1 laptop it cost $30 per 24 hrs that is way over the top.

"disappointing, lame attitude."
This hotel was very disappointing for us, definitely not a 4 stars hotel!. it is pretty far from the city center, you have to use a bus which takes a lot of time waiting for in the bus station. The clerks in the reception desk are not welcoming, not nice, they do you a favor when they answer you. it feels like they are not so much into giving you a useful information as a tourist, unless the hotel can benefit from it in some way. we had to ask many times until we got an answer about a cheap normal way to get to the airport. they also charged us a "staying in rome" tax when we checked out from the hotel. it was not mentioned before at all, and then when we left we suddenly had to pay another 30 euros!! we would recommend you to find another hotel!!!

"Would recommend"
The hotel is good, but the breakfast could be better. There were some weird juices, but no orange juice. The rooms are a bit old, but still nice. I would recommend it but be aware that you get to get buses to go to city center. Staff is friendly.

"Decent enough value in suburb of Rome"
The Hotel Pineta Palace is in a safe suburb of Rome and is value-priced if you don't mind the inconvenience commuting by bus to downtown Rome (3 Euros round trip per person). A high caloric, hot and cold breakfast buffet is included with the room rate which is a plus. They have the best butter I've ever eaten in my life. The concept of customer service is pretty much lost on the hotel desk staff with the exception of the evening desk clerk Angelo. The chambermaids are very good. Take a facial washcloth with you since this hotel does not provide them. We did not find any air conditioning in the room.

"Good Hotel with cover parking"
Very good Hotel for the price, the best thing is that has cover parking that is very important in Rome. The breakfast was very good and was easy to get to the center, in the reception will give you a map to show you where to get the bus that will leave you just in front of the Vatican city.

I requested a non smoking room and they gave us a smoking. My daughter, who has astma, started gagging. I could barely breathe as well. When I told the front desk about the room, his response was that they can't control the guest who decides to smoke in the room. They gave us another room. It was not as bad as as the first one but I notice it had an ashtray I the desk. Also, The door knobs were falling apart in all the rooms. Like myself, all the guest on my floor were having a hard time turning the knobs.

"Disappointed"
Terrible hotel, bad everything. Reception service was really bad, staffs were very rude and not trained to customer service standards. Price of the rooms are not worth the money at all. Hotel is badly places as well as it is far from the major attractions. Paid for internet but the internet connection was terrible and it should have been free. Rooms are very old and in terrible condition plus lack of power source points in the rooms. The lifts and lobby were very poorly ventilated as it was boiling hot. The restaurant food was pricy for the terrible food that they serve.

"Not worth 4 star rating"
This hotel is definitely not 4 star. The beds are not comfortable at all and the time are so small. Breakfast has limited options, so if you don't eat bacon/ham you will be left with croissants and bread. Location is not very ideal either especially if you want to stay close to all the tourist spots.

Our stay in this hotel was painful for the following reasons: 1. It is very far from the city center and remotely located in a residential area. 2. Staff was rude and non cooperative. 3. The breakfast has limited items and not even bread toaster. The breakfast staff doesn't understand English at all. 4. They charge for wi-fi everyday. which is freely given in most of the hotels. 5. Hotel rooms are very small and with age old furniture. Bath room door can't be opened from inside as it is jammed once closed. 6. The flooring is of tiles and the room was freezing cold on the first day and second day after lot of request the started the heating. No tea -coffee service and electric cattle in the room. Which are normal things to expect in a 4 star hotel. 7. Bathroom are also pathetic. Overall the reception staff expect everyone to know Italian before they come to their hotel.

"Friendly accommodating hotel"
I found the staff welcoming and friendly the customer service was excellent and the food was amazing. The view from the hotel was beautiful and the Vatican could be seen from a distance. Had to travel by public transport into the city but it was easy to find our way round, we were given maps and able to purchase the Roma travel card for bus and trams into Rome which also allowed us two free entries into two museums including the Colosseum skip the queue . The hotel was clean and overall had an enjoyable experience,

"Clean but extremely noisy hotel"
We stayed in may this year (2013) and the hotel was very noisy but clean and well maintained if a bit dated. The rooms are quite dated but the rest of the hotel is nice enough although the WiFi is very expensive if you need to use it at about 10 euros for 24 hours and even though the booking stated that we would receive a 1 hour WiFi voucher free of charge we found out that the hotel provided no such vouchers. The hotel is very noisy in the morning's as everyone seems to rise at about 6-7 am and the walls are quite thin, so don't plan on having any long lie ins. The location wasn't bad taking about 30 minutes to get into the city centre using the train rather than the buses as although the trains were rarely on time the buses where far worse contrary to the recommendation's of the hotel staff.

"Not worth the four star rating"
The hotel was about 40-45 minutes from the vetican and Rome city. The room and the hotel was no where near the 4 stars it was advertised. Firstly the room decor was very generic with magnolia walls. The double bed was to singles combined. Secondly the entrance and the reception area did not befit the hotel rating the reception area was too cluttered. The staff were very good and helpful.

overall a very average experience... Hotel is on Cosmos's tours as first hotel you stay in..disappointing for first impression of rome/Italy...too far from city.. no decent shops or restaurants in surrounding area..noisy rooms...cleaners were more friendly and smiling than the front line reception staff...would not stay there again.. :(

This hotel is a lovely place to stay. We found the language barrier no issue and each staff member were helpful and friendly. There is a walk to the bus stop which is quite easy to find. Be aware the bus gets very busy at times.

Staff were excellent and helpful, but I couldn't get past the condition of our room. Although I "think" it was clean, it is in dire need of a make over, particularly in the bathrooms. Although we didn't spend much time in the room, I would've preferred to spend the extra money and stay in a nicer hotel, because I felt like we were staying in a motel. Panelling was coming off, the ceiling in the shower was sinking, the shower head was difficult to keep secure so we had to hold it and the toilet water ran unless it was flushed just the right way. I know one day it ran all day, well at least from the time it was cleaned to until we got back to the room that evening and flushed it correctly. I'd hate to see that water bill, especially if other rooms are similar.

Better information and map need to be displayed on the internet for people trying to get to the hotel on public transport. Our room was very small and cramped considering the amount we paid. "This is a decent hotel but needs a revamp"
It was decent but needs revamping the room size was very good fot two people sharing but they need to modernise this hotel badly. The location isnt great as its a good half an hour from the city centre, however, its a good location if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are many buses that take you to the city and a metro on line A Cornelia which takes you to all the famous attractions which really helps.

"Great hotel for a great price"
Although it was a bit of a trek to get to the hotel, the staff was wonderful and the fact that breakfast was included was also great. It is an older hotel but we were comfortable enough and felt safe on our 3 day trip. It was a short walk to the bus stop and then a short ride to the metro from there into Rome so overall I would say this was a good hotel.

This hotel seems to be ok. Most of the reception staff except Yasmin appear to be very indifferent. Treating customers according to the rooms status is very rude and they treat you differently if you book only a basic room. Shower area is too tiny & will not fit little big people. Hotel is quite certainly out of the way from most of the attractions in Rome and not close to any Metro stations. As already commented by someone else, we found that rooms have walls, roof and floors are so thin you can hear the noises of all sorts from other rooms which is very annoying. We were not very happy in this hotel; but for the money you pay, probably you get only this. It was astonishing how many groups of people came to this hotel! Our thanks goes to only Ms Yasmin at the reception.

The price was affordable. The breakfast was pleasant. The staff were not very friendly, but they were helpful. The area was calm. The Hotel is close to a convenience center and bus stop. We arrived the hotel about 10 o'clock in the morning, but we were allowed to check in early.

"Proche des bus"
Nous avons passé un séjour de 3 jours dans cet hôtel avec 3 couples d'amis. Nous avons pu visiter Rome en prenant le bus n° 49 qui s'arrête à environ 10 mns de marche de l'hôtel. ce qui est un point positif, question confort, la literie est très bonne ( nous sommes assez difficile sur ce point ), la chambre propre. On trouve assez facilement du personnel qui parle le français. Cet hôtel est suffisant pour quelques jours, mais à cause de la mauvaise insonorisation des chambres, on n'y passerait pas 1 ou 2 semaines.

in this price it is fantastic!! very polite and helpful reception, very nice,clean,modern, room ( that was a comfort double or twin room ) with balkon and a wonderful panaroma viwe of Rom inklusiv Sky TV and free wifi(this rooms are in 6th floor)! every day room cleaning service, breakfast was ok( cold and warm with bacon egg hams cheess coffee tee marmalade cake fruts ...) it is a bus station near the hotel, you can take line 449 to metro station or 49 to city center( after 5 or 6 station you can change to No. 46 that go to another part of city). suggestion: take the first line to metro or city center..... maybe you should wait half an hour for the next one! it is tow rail way from hotel to airport. it is a good suprmarket in the near. you should pay 1.5 euro for bus ticket that is for 100min. and you can use it for mero too. take the vatican musume ticket in internet(it is cheaper and you dont need to stay for 2hours in line. you can show it on your handy or tablett!!!!) have nice trip

"den Preis wert"
Wir haben vier Nächte im Pineta Palace verbracht und waren von ihm positiv überrascht. Das Zimmer im 6.OG war ausgezeichnet, geräumig und modern. Im TV gab es mehr als 100 Sender, aber ausschließlich italienische -- das Hotel richtet sich wohl weniger an ausländische Gäste. Die Aussicht vom Balkon über die Stadt bis hin zum Petersdom war eindrucksvoll, ein großer Park liegt gleich nebenan. Die Verbindungen mit dem ÖPNV (Bus) sind nahebei und sehr dicht. Die Gemelli-Klinik ist in der Nähe, was zu einem erhöhten Aufkommen an Krankenwagen führt, aber ansonsten ist es recht ruhig. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, wenn auch beim Brot etwas dünn bestückt (nur Weißbrot), das Restaurant abends sehr gut. Das Personal war gut und freundlich, kam nur bei der Versorgung von Reisegruppen (z.T. zwei Busladungen gleichzeitig beim Frühstück) etwas unter Druck.

"Super Preis- Leistungsverhältnis"
Das Hotel liegt nur wenige gehminuten von der nächsten Bushaltestelle weg. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber Englisch sollte man sprechen können ;-) Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, d.h. die Fliesen haben kleinere Beschädigungen, die Zimmerdecken sind zum Teilschon recht schäbig und der Kastenfernseher hat kein anderes Programm wie italienisch. Aber es ist alles sauber und wird regelmäßig gereinigt. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat für jeden etwas dabei. Das größte Problem ist die Hellhörigkeit des Hotels. Die Engländer im Nachbarzimmer haben leider bis früh morgens gequatscht und man konnte jedes Wort verstehen. Blöd nur wenn man schlafen will. Aber für den Preis......

Comodissimo per la vicinanza all'Ospedale Cristo Re, e a 20 minuti dal centro. Hotel molto pulito, abbiamo alloggiato in un camera appena ristrutturata. Una pecca il bagno, un po' troppo piccolo. Eravamo nel lato con vista sul "cupolone", estremamente suggestiva. La colazione e' buona ed abbondante. Molto buono anche il ristorante.

"nulla è come sembra"
Nel complesso tutto bene, ottima accoglienza, bella anche la struttura. I punti negativi sono vari, come l'inadeguatezza della tenda che non copriva complessivamente lo spazio della finestra ne filtrasse i raggi solari, il lavandino che scaricava l'acqua dopo un paio di minuti, l'aspiratore d'aria in bagno che durante la notte ha pensato bene di accendersi fino a quando non ho lasciato la stanza, per giunta sprovvisto del tasto per accenderlo o spegnerlo, la moquette che presentava sia caramelle gommose che una bella macchia al centro della stanza, ed in fine ma non meno importante, una bella televisione d'epoca dove si prendevano i canali dal 1° al 4°, inutili quanto mai, accompagnati da un grande e bellissimo disturbo-rumore del segnale il quale ovviamente rendeva impossibile la visione. Ora anche se li reputo dei piccoli aspetti negativi, questo non vuol dire che se sommati fra loro non debbano essere ignorati tanto meno irrisolti sopratutto per un Hotel da 4 stelle

Ci dispiace che abbia avuto tutti questi piccoli disservizi che non hanno reso il suo soggiorno completamente soddisfacente. Vorrei però ricordare che ad ogni inconveniente vi è una soluzione. Infatti se avesse informato immediatamente il ricevimento sono sicuro che avrebbero immediatamente provveduto a risolvere i piccoli disagi o cambiato di camera.
