"close to everything, perfect Kowloon location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
Good: large room (Nathan Grand room) for HK, location, ease of getting around, hotel that covers all the basics well. This is not the Grand Hyatt but does everything well at less than half the price. You will not find a fancy bar, or restaurant, or 5 star service, etc but if you only need a nice, efficient place, this is it. Bad: the worse part of the hotel is the restaurant service. The breakfast food quality was ok, with lots on the buffet bar but it may not appeal to everyone. Service was HK standard, where they seem to talk loud (i.e. yell) at each other when talking. Improve this area and the hotel might do even better. Oh, the freeinternet is horrendous. I would always lose the signal and have to log in over and over. Quite frustrating. Even going to the lobby require login again.
"Great Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
The hotel is fine. Clean good internet but notexciting or special. The location is great. The hotel is close to two different metro lines and across the street from MixC- the nicest mall in Shenzhen. Given the location this was a good value.

"Kowloon business trip"
We were really surprised by this experience. The hotel is ideally situated next to a large square, with plenty of restaraunts, fast-food eateries, and street vendors, Also, with 2 Starbucks within 100 yards of the door, and various other beverage establishments. Walking time from Hum Hong Railway station is a leisurely ten minutes, along a covered and […] elevated walkway, that ends right at the large square. The hotel is directly across the other side, easy to locate. Two minutes walking will lead you to plenty of stores for shopping for any type of goods. The room was extremely clean and well appointed, with all necessary ammenities. I've paid much more at other hotels, and received nothing close to the value I received at the Regal Kowloon. The only complaint I have to offer is the elevators are slow. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great hotel, very comfortable, highly recommendedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My first visit to Hong Kong. Very pleased with this hotel. Staff always courteous and helpful. Room was clean and only once during stay was a slight problem with room cleaning but was immediately corrected when informed. I would recommend this hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Deal for HK"
The room was great except there were 3 of us and we thought we got 2 double beds when we got 2 twin beds. So my wife and I shared one bed and my sister got her bed. It was a great value for New Year's time in HK and a lot more room than our hostel we were paying $40 less for a night. It was a nice treat as we normally stay at hostels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Suggestions"
Suggest to have more people at the front desk, since guests don't like to make a line to check out. Also, suggest to open another restaurant for breakfast, because in the morning we have to make a long line waiting for a seat. Some people was really disapointed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Family stay"
I would like to say we had a wonderful stay at Regal Kowloon Hotel! My family and I really enjoyed this hotel stay. I have stayed at many hotels in Hong Kong and can say Regal Kowloon was the best "Bang for the Buck". I will stay here again! Also the breakfast was great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It is OK hotel"
It is OK hotel but the location is not that great, compared with hotels on Canton street. There are a few upscale restaurant in the area but they are closed on the day I visited (Chinese New Year Eve - It was understandable),Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nah"
Hotel condition was nice enough but we did not appreciate the staff at all. Everyone I came across could use a course in customer service. The hotel does not delivery what it advertises and deploys the old 'bait and switch' approach. Dealt with the manager, who was a dope. It's a problem from the top down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Regal Club"
The hotel is quite dated, but the location is convenient. There were a lot of Americans staying there so it was good to chat about stuff to do while in Hong Kong. The only way to make the stay worthwhile is to book a club room, with access to the club. The staff in the club are very friendly and helpful, there was a wide variety of food available for […] the breakfast and cocktail hours. There's a tour desk downstairs so you can book tour cruises, ferry rides, etc. It is close to the MTR, which is the only way to go. The MTR stations are clean, and bright, easy to navigate, the fares are cheap. If you're going to be in HK for a while I suggest purchasing the Octopus card for convenience, you can also buy the visitor's pass which is good for 24 hours for $55 HKD. Took the MTR to Hong Kong Disney for $19 HKD each way. The Temple Street night market was fun too, get ready to barter prices. Do not go to the Lei Yue Mun Seafood Bazaar to purchase "fresh" seafood to eat. Go there just to look. The seafood is overpriced and the restaurants you have to eat in will cost you $80 HKD per person just for them to prepare your food, and they charge you for everything (tea, soy sauce, peanuts) which you assume comes with the meal since it's on the table but it's not free. The woman told me of the charge after she already poured the tea and I told her I refused to pay and she made a fuss. Totally turned me off to the whole meal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Regal Kowloon Hotel"
We enjoyed our stay at the Regal Hotel. Location was so convenient to shopping, restaurants, the Star Ferry Boat, MTR, and waterfront. Best price we could find. Staff was pleasant. We were supplied with bottled water everyday. Would recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location"
The Regal Kowloon is a great hotel in a great location. Very close to the MRT (subway) station. The room was a little dated in it's decor, but that was not a problem for us. We stayed in a club level room, and the included breakfast and cocktail hour was a great bonus. The A/C worked well and kept us all comfortable. The beds were very firm, which seems […] to be common for Asia, so be ready for that. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Hong Kong! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Regal Kowloon Hotel"
While we have visited Hong Kong many times this was our first stay at the Regal. We were pleased with the Hotel. While the location is a few blocks from Nathan Street, the subway station was only a block away. Our complaint - and we have this same complaint for virtually all the hotels we have stayed at in China - the beds are too hard (not "firm" - […] hard). Also, the breakfast buffet is a bit pricey; we ate elsewhere. Other than that we had a delightful stay (5 nights). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Shomer Shabbat - Avoid"
To all those shomer shabbat going to Hong Kong, avoid this hotel. All stairs are locked and you can not go in otherwise the fire alarm will sound. I have to ask the staff to come pick me up in scheduled hours and when returning always have to ask them to go in stairs with me. At Shabat Mincha time they forgot to pick me up. For half price you stay at […] YWCA Garden View, which is a brand new, clean and very friendly staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in a great location at a great price"
I am an airline pilot and this hotel used to be a crew hotel at one time but the company has sinced moved us, much to the chagrin of many crew members. It is a great hotel located in Tsim sha shui in kowloon. It centrally located in Kowloon and the immediate area is one of the nicest in Hong Kong. It is within a short block of one of the metro stations […] which is a very convenient and cheap way to get around Hong Kong. I took my wife and two daughters to Hong Kong on vacation this June and already knew it was a great hotel from personal experience. The only complaint I had was the beds are very hard. That was a small detail for me but may be a bigger issue for some. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations floor by floor. The current floor being renovated is the 10th floor and I was put on the 11th floor and the staff advised me that there might be some construction noise during the day, none of which I heard during my stay. Then again we were out of the room by 9am in the morning returning from running around Hong Kong by 3pm and out again for the evening by 5pm. There is a starbucks and a delifrance right near the hotel for a cheap breakfast and there is a coffee shop the crews used to use all the time called Crema that is underneath a small supermarket that is also right near the hotel and offers a nice small breakfast for 35 HKD about 4.50 USD. There are nice restaurants in the very large plaza behind the hotel. If you are looking for a nice jazz bar that is within walking distance of the hotel. I would suggest Ned Kelly's Last Stand on Ashley Road that is off of Peking Road right near Nathan Road. The concierge at the hotel is very helpful and she can give you directions and advice on any number of attractions in Hong Kong and the immediate area of the hotel. This hotel is one of the best values in Hong Kong which for hotels tends to be expensive. One other note, most hotels in Hong Kong only allow two to a room. At max they will allow one other person in th Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Regal Kowloon, affordable luxury in great location"
This was my second time to Hong Kong, and I decided I wanted to stay somewhere a bit more convenient this time. The Regal Kowloon was a very affordable luxurious accommodation that was situated walking distance to some of the best shopping and attractions Hong Kong has to offer. I would recommend upgrading to the Club Room, as you get so much more for […] just a few dollars increase. Service was great, concierge had great recommendations and the shuttle was very useful from/to airport and to Disneyland as well as shopping area's. Will stay again on my next trip to Hong Kong! "Regal Kowloon Hotel"
The hotel is popular with Chinese and Korean business travelers and groups and is, in general, it's safe bet for accommodation in Kowloon. Pros: 1. Large rooms (I was one person staying in a standard non-smoking room) 2. Amenities and standard of large 4-star hotels 3. Close to the History Museum Cons: 1. Expensive Internet--be sure to check whether […] this is included in your reservation, otherwise you'll rack up hefty fees for in-room or business center Internet use. 2. The Regal is at the Eastern periphery of Tsim Sha Tsui, closest to the East TST subway stop. It's a soulless and unattractive corner of town. 3. Breakfast buffet isn't very good. 4. Concierge desk is understaffed and English-language skills are lacking. 5. Customer service leaves something to be desired. I would certainly look into other accommodation options closer to central TST or Central, HK were I to return to HK. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location"
The hotel was in a five minute walk to Victoria Harbour, the Star Ferry, their walk of fame, the metro, buses, shops and restaurants. Ideal location. If you like to walk, Hong Kong is a great choice. I was in Kowloon and you could see Hong Kong Island which was beautiful at night and easy to get to by any number of transportation options. The staff […] was very friendly. Their English was not great but good enough to get many questions answered and assist with getting around. There is a tailor in the shops on the 2nd floor so I had dress shirts and dress pants made to order in about a day and a half. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower could have been better - the shower head leaked and I was going to have it fixed but it wasn't that bad. There are American channels which you don't often find when traveling abroad. They have a very nice breakfast buffet each morning until I believe 10:30 AM. I was staying with a friend for part of my trip in his room, then he left and I got my own room. They allowed me to stay in the same room without having to check out, wait until check-in time (at 2 PM), then check in. I really appreciated that. They were very accommodating that way. I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The room was clean, comfortable and nicely laid out. The buffet breakfast was wonderful- got to try a number of unfamiliar foods, all good. Desk staff and porters were very helpful. "Good location!"
Enjoyed staying at this location. Close to public transportation. Good price. The transportation provided by the hotel from the airport (which was included with the room) was not convenient to our travel schedule. We would have had to wait close to an hour leaving the airport and leave the hotel an hour and half earlier than we needed to. So we took […] taxis both ways. The only other concern is the bathtub was not as clean as we like. Overall would recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
