My stay at this hotel was excellent and the staff was friendly and respectful. The hotel in general was very clean and it's location is within good proximity to most stores, tourist sites, and activities. I will definitely return to this hotel whenever I plan on visiting in the Dominican Republic in the near future.

Beautiful, tranquil hotel on the outskirts of Cabarete. The owner is super-nice, the pool is beautiful. there's a great view. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

I think it is a great hotel for this price. If you are planning to stay most of the time outside the hotel, I don't see a reason to complain. It was great to have a small kitchen to prepare meals!! Also, even though the staff told me that the wifi would not work in my room, I had no problems make it working (except that the staff gave me the wrong password all three times I asked for it - but after trying a few modifications it worked). One funny thing seems to be that room keys work at several, or maybe all, different rooms. So, a night at about 2.00 AM a stranger unlocked the door and walked in to my room, but left immediately when he saw he was in the wrong place.

The place was amazing a 4 star place all the way. The people and staff couldn't have been any more accommodating then they were. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh sheets on the beds every other day. very friendly and outgoing people. I would highly recommend staying here.They also have some interesting places to see and visit.

On the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Plata is between the international airport to the east and the marina at Ocean World to the west. An aerial tram takes visitors to the top of a mountain within the city, where there is a replica statue of Christ the Redeemer. The Fortaleza San Felipe, built in the 16th century to protect the port from pirates, now houses a museum.

This was one of the worst vacations ever! Food was of poor quality (the resort restaurant Lotus-the only one opened at night- once served me veggies with a worm in them and upon complaint, the waitress acted as if nothing happened; on another occassion the food served had less/different ingredients than the menu listed). Service, with a few exceptions, […] was slow and rude at times. Kids club was closed due to slow season. If anyone needs internet service, there's NONE in the room. If you pay with the room charge, be prepared to walk to the Royal Suites service area. Read more

This is hotel is definitely a bargain considering what it offers. However, if you stay during the weekend (like we did) it is a mad house! The hotel was inundated with boisterous locals. It was very unpleasant as many of them did not make a lines (they simply skip), speak very loud, drink until they're drunk, scream when they speak to one another, etc... […] It was very uncomfortable. If you are yearning a quiet vacation, do not stay here on weekends. Your best bet is to stay at a more expensive hotel where bus loads of locals will not go to. We went in a holiday weekend. Hotel was full. We did a line for everything. The food was not enough. We need to go very early to find chair and table. The first night i did a big line to find food for my kid and i asked a waitress to bring me a coke please and she said no. I was very disappointed.
