"NIce location, well maintained and quiet"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 2, 2012
The hotel, staff, restaurant were all excellent. The only problem is that I was charged 3 euro a day extra for each of the 4 days. It was above my prepaid amount. This seemed unusual and possibly inappropriate. It should be mentioned on the site if if is a standard. I stayed at 2 other hotels int he ssame region on this trip, including another Leonardo Hotel and this charge did not apply. I was told by the clerk that this was a country tax.
"2nd stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 20, 2012
Wonderful staff. I've stayed here twice in 2012. Location is awesome. Easy to walk across the street for an inexpensive breakfast, and later for a wonderful dinner at Anno 1900 (reservations needed).
"Beautiful Room overlooking the square"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 13, 2012
first class room overlooking the main square, near all the attractions. Absolutely no problems or issues.
"perfect central location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 7, 2012
Our room was clean and very efficient. It was easy to get anywhere in the center of the city by walking, or if needed the public transportation was right there; even the train stations were within walking distance. There is a breakfast available at the hotel if desired. The wifi was also a bonus.
"Close to train station far from city center"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 26, 2012
This hotel is very close to the train station, making it convenient for train travelers, but this is also quite a distance by foot from the center of the old city, where the Goethe house and other attractions are located. Ask for advice on the buses to the downtown area. Weimar is a great city with many cultural connections.

Capital of Thuringia, Erfurt has a medieval centre dominated by the gothic cathedral and St. Severus church. The Krämer Bridge, built in 1325, crosses the Gera River and is the only bridge north of the Alps made entirely with liveable houses. Martin Luther once lived in the 14th-century Augustinian Monastery, while the Anger Museum exhibits German landscape paintings. To the south is the hilly Steigerwald, part of the Thuringian Forest.
