As a Gold Member to Marriott this hotel was a significant disappointment. The only asset is its location to JFK. The desk staff is in need of customer service training. The facility is in need of a significant remodel. The double queen bedroom was cramped with to much furniture. There was an old musky smell to the room, halls and lobby. This was a great overnight stay for us. The shuttle ride was very convenient to/from JFK and the courteous driver was very helpful. I booked Courtyard Marriott JFK to overnight between two very long international flights. The rooms were clean and comfortable for a weary traveler and the airport shuttle service was wonderful. I would definitely stay there again if I'm in transit in New York. Not suitable for sightseeing though as it is by the airport.

Not impressed. Guests have to pay for parking or else you have to park on the side streets. The neighborhood did not look safe. The staff did not even bother to help us carry our luggages to our room.

We fell for the blurb, "proximity to airport" (it is actually miles away, beyond Rockaway, which is a slum! "Free shuttle bus" which in fact means YOU take the sky train to Federal Station, trundling your luggage, then call them and they might send a shuttle for you. There is no hotel reception area! They have shoved a desk in the entrance hall and […] 2 surly people are there with a computer checking in their luckless guests. The "hotel restaurant" is in fact the 5 or 6 sleazy tables around the check in table. No one would want to sit or eat in this uninviting and deadly scruffy place. No thank you. We couldn't leave fast enough and if I am EVER stuck near JFK again I will take a taxi into Manhattan. this hotel has 3 stars on Expedia ratings which is very much does not deserve. Marriott should be ASHAMED of themselves and they should not be putting their name on such a dreadful hotel as this one. Shameful! don't even THINK of going there. Read more

The hotel was conveniently located, except we didn't realize the hotel shuttles don't operate into the airport during daytime hours...you have to take a free train from JFK to hotel pick-up points. The hotel was renovating the dining room so restaurant service was in the lobby...they advised us of that immediately and offered individual bottles of wine […] at check-in to compensate us for the inconvenience. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the Marriot by JFK! Extremely well maintained, and clean. The staff are all super friendly and ready to assist. We will definitely stay there again!

I was very disappointed that the hotel was like a building site and I was not informed that this was the case. I was on a tight business schedule and choose the Marriot as your standards are normally high but it was very frustrating to arrive to find the hotel in such disaray! I wil think twice about staying in a Marriot.

Das Hotel ist gerade akzeptabel und eignet sich für eine Übernachtung für Transitreisende (JFK). Alles wirkt recht abgegriffen, das ist in New York aber oft so. die Preise sind NY-typisch recht hoch. Der Fliughafenshuttle funktioniert gut, sicher ein Pluspunkt. Für einen längeren New York-Aufenthalt ist das Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. Dafür ist es zu […] weit von Manhattan entfernt und die Umgebung scheint für Unkundige nicht unproblematisch (z.B. für eine nächtliche Rückkehr via Subway etc.). Read more
