We just needed a place to stay for the night on our way home and called last minute. Very good value. Everything was very clean. I was especially impressed in the a.m. when the breakfast attendant helped a young Mom with 4 children get their breakfast and make their waffles. Nice touch!

We were very pleased with our stay at the Comfort Inn in Albert Lea, MN. It was convenient to the interstate; and there was a pleasant restaurant very close by, within easy walking distance for dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful, quick check-in. Morning breakfast was plentiful, area was clean. Would stay there again.

Directions at night from Main Street in Albert Lea are unclear. I ended up on I-90 going north the first time heading back to the hotel. Missed the turn to the hotel thinking it was the entrance ramp for I-35 which in fact wasn't for another mile. Signs were confusing.

Room was clean, but a bit dark. Desk chair and furniture were worn. Location is next to the truck stop, so convenient to buy snacks, but not close to anything else. Stay here if you get a good rate.

Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast was outstanding! Only concern was room key didn't work on second night of stay and when we went to front desk for assistance, we weren't asked any security questions (ie. id or even our name). We were only asked if we had extended our stay (which we hadn't) and our key was reprogrammed and we were sent on our way. […] Walked away feeling as though it would be quite easy for someone to get into any room they would like to if they had a room key. Prompt and courteous service. Located near travel resources. Room was nice. The television did not show channel number, it was frustrating surfing the channels to find something to watch and find way back to channels I found interesting. All in all it was nice accomodations after riding motorcycle for a long distance.

The stay was fine but didn't like that they charged my credit card when I was already prepaid. When I checked out the clerk said we were paid in full but in looking at my credit cards website I discovered they charged me. After calling and pointing this out the charge was removed.

We selected the hotel because of the location and the fact that it was advertised as being pet friendly. When booking the hotel, I informed them that we would be traveling with pets and specifically asked about their pet policies. I was quoted a price and booked the room. When I was bringing my dogs into the hotel, however, after checking in, I was […] told that there was a fee of $50.00 ($25.00 per pet). I was never told about the fee when booking the room or checking in. Furthermore, the representative at the desk was very rude and didn't offer any reimbursement or to discuss the issue with a manager. She just replied that it was "non-negociable." She also said that I couldn't change my reservation, eventhough it was the hotel's mistake. Overall, the hotel is clean and convenient, so I might stay there again if there weren't other options. This hotel was a nice surprise. It was well maintained, staff was friendly and rooms were clean. I normally do not stay at a Comfort Inn but the other hotels were booked. I will stop here again it was right beside a very nice Travel Stop and they had everything you could need to include a well lighted parking area for hotel overflow. The hotel its self is very nice and maybe the other rooms were fine but ours smelled like PEE! We arrived after midnight and all just wanted to sleep so we just ignored it. When we spoke to the desk clerk the next morning so it could be addressed before someone else stayed there she acted like it was our problem. She said we should have come gotten […] spray to deal with it. Spray would not have fixed this problem. The smell was coming from the air conditioner and probably could have been fixed by changing the filter. If the room hadn't smelled it would have been a pretty good place to stay. Breakfast was good. The tempature index was 105-110 degrees & after driving 7 hours we needed a cool room to rest for the evening.
