"Great Place and Good People."
If I get back to the Big Easy I will definately stay at the Green House Inn again. The house was charming and the pool and hot tub were so relaxing after long days of sight seeing and walking. "Nicely situated in New Orleans"
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We were greeted at the door, let into the gated parking facility, shown the public areas of the hotel and were given an informative account of the many wonderful aspects of both the city and our particular neighborhood before being led to our room. I was very grateful for our host Jesse's attention as he touched […] upon things about which I would probably not have thought to ask. Large and extremely comfortable room and bed. I was a bit dubious as we were so close to the entrance. However, guests are respectful of the sign placed on the front door in the evenings reminding those returning to do so quitely. We also had a door leading out to the garden and pool/hot tub area, a lovely oasis of palm trees and chairs to lounge in. There is a "clothing optional" aspect of this area and some guests do in fact lounge poolside au natural. I enjoyed the pervading green color of the house, both inside and out, and there was quite a lovely dining area set for breakfast each morning. A German Shepherd is also in residence, but unfortunately we didn't get to meet him, so anyone not as fond of dogs need not worry they will be overwhelmed. The location of the hotel is great, as it isn't too close to the craziness of the French Quarter, but it is about a 15 minute walk, or is accessible by streetcar. Magazine St is also a fun place to explore. All in all, good value and a very pleasant stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I went to college 30 years ago in New Orleans and fell in love with city. I continue to visit regularly, as my daughter is a Tulane student. Now that I have " discovered" the Green House Inn, I would not dream of staying anywhere else. The location is within walking distance of the French Quarter and many of the wonderful bars and restaurants on Magazine […] Street. Street car, bus and cabs easily accessible. The innkeeper and staff go out of their way to make your stay wonderful, and have great suggestions. The courtyard pool is as tranquil and inviting as you cane imagine. I can't wait to go back! "Amazing-Intimate place to stay in New Orleans"
Check in was a breeze. Room was super clean and wonderfully accommodating with nice amenities. Pool and spa open 24 hours, rare but lovely especially for New Orleans, since it stays warm all evening. Hot tub seemed to be on a timer, couldn't get the jets to work after midnight, but still hot and inviting after a long day of fun in NOLA.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Greenhouse Inn A nice relaxing place to stay."
This was a nice relaxing place to stay and very convenient to all of the French Quarter, the Garden District, and the Warehouse district. The outside areas of the Inn were not particularly clean and no attempt was made to clean them. The hot tub was very nice, however the pool was not heated. The staff and owners were very friendly and quick to share […] information, suggestions of places to visit, and Mardi Gras logistics so we could easily get to and around the parades. Frank, Jesse & staff were great hosts! There location was walking distance to French Quarter. It was just a few blocks from the St. Charles street car. It had a beautiful back yard. Pool I hot tub. "Excellent stay! We didn't want to leave..."
We highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast Style hotel. The pool and jacuzzi were excellent. Breakfast was only warm continental, but very good - one of the managers brings fresh citrus from his own trees! We stayed in the suite which was very large and comfortable. The soaking tub unfortunately drained quickly no matter how I plugged it up and there […] really was a lack of hot water, so even filing it was difficult, so it could not be used.... but the dual head two person shower made up for it. We learned to shower at night instead. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"We will return!"
We had always stayed in the French Quarter or Business District on previous trips but would go out to St. Charles during our stay. I was glad we did it the other way this time. The WWII museum was only three blocks away and so was the streetcar stop. The free parking saved us $30 each night. A couple times we walked to the French Quarter. We will definitely […] return when it is warmer and we can make full use of the garden patio and hot tub. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Host was funny and entertaining. Outside was beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Room didn't feel clean, old not in a good way furniture. "Getaway from Tourist Trail at Garden District Gem"
I am a frequent conference visitor to NOLA. Wound up at Green House because my go to hotel near Canal St. was fully booked. Couldn't have been luckier? It was a joy to come "home" to the comfort of the Inn and lush garden after a day of business meetings. If you want all the amenities of a full hotel, don't stay here. If you want simplicity, comfort, […] quiet and caring service...this will work for you.I hope to come back in warmer weather to make use of the pool. When you've had enough of the french quarter I recommend walking further into the garden distrrict along Magazine street toward the antique and design shops, the cafes and casual restaurants. Also, for a fabulous meal you're in walking distance from Cochon. Enjoy! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A wonderful place to stay!!"
We were looking for a different experience that the "hotel" situation for this trip to New Orleans. We have been before and wanted something new. The Greenhouse Inn looked very inviting, and the nightly rate was within our trip budget. From the moment we arrived, it was as if we were visiting friends. The pool area looked fabulous on the website, but […] its incredible when you see it in person. That's one of the things that made this trip so spectacular. We met several other guests and had a wonderful time visiting with them. The service was top notch. We were able to walk to almost all of our destinations, avoiding the parking hassle. "Great B&B in NOLA"
Jesse and Frank were wonderful hosts. This 8 room B&B was very nicely decorated, maintained, and friendly. Location is very short walk to the WW2 museum, and long walk to Superdome, French Quarter and Magazine Street boutiques. The gardens around the small private pool and hot tub area was very nice, but weather was too cool to take advantage of, and […] it has "European Attitude" if you should opt for topless sunbathing around the pool. We would like to come back to stay here on our next trip to New Orleans. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great New Orleans stay"
This B&B is located near enough to the Quarter to walk but far enough away to avoid the crazy and noise. It has all the New Orleans charm you could ask for and the Inn keepers are excellent. They gave me so many good suggestions for touring the city I never got to them all. One thing different about this B&B is that breakfast is a standard continental […] breakfast with cereal, fruit and waffles. In other words no one makes you breakfast. This was a disappointment but other than that the facilities are excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great experience, great stay."
My partner, two miniature poodles and I spent seven nights in the Green House Inn. What an excellent experience. Upon arriving, we discovered that our initial room, the Hibiscus Room, was too small. While it would be ideal for a single person or two, it just didn't cut it for two plus two pups. Jessie the Innkeeper, immediately set out to make sure […] our stay was comfortable. He put us in the third-floor suite, a fabulous 2 room space for several days no additional cost. Then, put us in the Orchid Room, the biggest room in the Inn even though he was installing new windows and we kept the Hibiscus Room as well. The Inn itself is a great house with a fabulous pool and deck area surrounded by a tropical garden and a macaw named Rio. To cool go swimming, we sat around the pool and enjoyed other guests. Jessie was quick to offer suggestions for dinner and places to see often going on his computer and looking up menus and locations for us. He struck the right balance of being there when you need him but not being intrusive. The breakfasts are nothing special, however, I enjoyed waking up to the smell of waffles wafting up the staircase as much as devouring one. There are several small breakfast restaurants within a couple of blocks for those that need a more traditional breakfast. For those traveling with pets, there is Coliseum Square, a lovely park, just a couple of blocks away. I strongly recommend this Inn and am looking forward to our next visit at the Green House Inn. Overall it was a very nice B&B. The pool was a pleasant surprise and with the salt water. the ambiance around the pool reminded me of a resort that we go to in Cancun. It was very lush. My husband and I stayed here while I traveled to NOLA for business. "Bed and Breakfast"
Nice hotel, about 1 mile from the French Quarter, not a bad walk if the weather cooperates, dreadful in the scorching heat or pouring rain. Dogs are allowed in the hotel, great for my 2 yr old who loves animals, not so good if you're allergic. Big deal was the "clothing optional" pool. Upon arrival, there was no where to park. Off street parking was gated and closed. Had to park on the street. Could not get to entrance without pushing button on gate at the sidewalk. The exterior of this inn is very nice with a beautiful pool in the back and lovely gardens. However, I'm not sure how clean the pool actually is. The rooms are very basic, bordering on seedy. "New Orleans best kept secret : Quality is #1 here"
Amazing service and QUALITY that goes above and beyond any means of mortal measurement ! - Its a rare treat when I cannot think of anything but ALL positive things to say in these reviews. Let me first state that I travel very frequently for my work and pleasure. I have personally been to 61 countries and spend at least 150 nights each year at hotels […] . Over the last 22 years I have had a lot of past experiences to base my opinion on here . This small ,quiet hotel is possibly New Orleans Best kept secret in regards to lodging. Literally everything was PERFECT. The rooms are SPOTLESS and cleaned daily with plenty attention given to all those little details that make a hotel stay so special and memorable . It was nice to have a refrigerator in my Bougainville room where I stayed. I enjoyed my stay so much that I booked a extra 2 nights beyond what my original reservation was for. The GreenHouse Inn seemed more like a intimate bed and breakfast club than any common hotel chain I have ever stayed in. There is a dining room with a baby grand piano that serves as a common area which was always stacked with fresh baked goodies, chocolates and 24 hour continental breakfast available in a "help your self" mini kitchen. (fresh baked home made chocolate chip cookies )Local menus and delivery menus , the morning news papers was also laid out for guest convenience and the staff was alway willing to bend over backward to assist. The bed was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of it except to make my way to the clothing optional pool and Hot tub . The back patio-pool area seemed like a secret garden with large palm trees and vines surrounding the pool / hot tub area. I was amused by the fact that you would never know any of this existed when walking by the front of this small 10 room establishment. The Green House Inn to me, was like a secure, safe, quiet and very relaxing oasis from all the hectic dramas that occur each day beyond its gate . - This said; the hotel is within Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely B&B with tropical oasis for a pool"
This B&B has very comfortable accomodations. The furniture isn't brand new, but nice, clean(no funky hotel smell here), great inn keepers, amazing salt water pool/spa with lush tropical garden. I stayed in 100 degree weather but the pool was great mid day - you don't bake under the palms and banana plants. Bfast was cold itmes (cereals, croisant, fruit, […] yogurt) and help yourself. Water cooler there anytime you need a drink. I will only stay here when I go to NOLA. Jesse and Frank will tell you the best places to see and eat and know the city well. 3 blocks from the street car and walking distance to WWII museum. Parking also available. Bed was very comfortable with fridge in room. PUblilc computer/printer available. i checked out and they held my bag and let me hang poolside until my evening flight out.
