"Great Place to stay"
I stayed at the Green House Inn to attend the annual New Orleans comic convention. The staff was above and beyond the regular chain hotels. The location was great for walking to the French Quarter, Garden District, Warehouse District, Convention Center and the Mississippi. I Have no complaints with my stay and overall a great experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice & relaxing - Beats the big hotels"
Didnt really know what to expect given the location & general problems with hotels in Nola, but was pleasantly surprised. Its nice & quiet despite being on the edge of the garden district & close to the freeway; the hosts are wonderful & the place is clean & tidy. Secure offstreet parking is included, and its an easy-ish walk to Canal street, easier […] on the Bus which stops just around the corner - I didn't move my car all week. Great outside area to sit & relax in too - the pool was clean & looked quite inviting as the temperatures go up. Rooms are clean & everything works. Recommend if you want to enjoy the town & then relax away from the people & noise. Theres also a decent bar across the street for big Cocktails to start the evening. Would stay there again. "Ideally located with a welcome pool to cool off in"
A welcoming friendly guest house that is clean and well located. Light breakfasts are provided as well as a waffle maker. The pool area is a relaxing place, just be advised that some guests prefer to bare all in the "European" themed tropical garden. The Inn is a pleasant place to stay and is well located and serviced by good transport links. Frank […] and Jesse are great hosts and very helpful, as is Alex and his restaurant knowledge. "A Comfortable Inn"
The inn is located just outside the Warehouse District and convenience stores are at least half a mile away. It is fifteen minutes walk to the Convention Centre (Erato, Annuciation, Gaiennie) and safe. The staff (Frank & Alex) are very helpful (calling cabs, making restaurant reservations, etc.) and just for a general chat. The ambience is very homey […] with wide halls on the main floor, a very impressive dining room, comfortable furniture, a good selection of edibles and air conditioning. The garden is quite an impressive jungle with its own wild parrot, who keeps to himself, and a pool that is you could spend the whole day in. The rooms are very spacious with all new bathrooms and very comfortable beds. On the minus side - the main staircase could be cleaned more often as it presents a poor impression and the keyboard in the library needs cleaning so you can discern the letters. The Green House Inn is a great relax destination. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Come Here to Relax and Unwind"
Older house, but very clean and well maintained. The floors are creaky, but that's what makes the character of the place. The back yard is an oasis of greenery with the trickling of the water falls cascading into the pool. Salt water to bout. No stinky clorine! Lots of places to sit and relax in the sun or shade. The bed was very comfortable and the […] place was very quiet. Frank and Jesse were very friendly and informative. My husband is not a great traveller and he loved it and wants to go back! We are thinking pre and post cruise next time:) This was our first time staying at a B & B. Will do it again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
スタッフも親切でよかったが、フレンチクオーターまで遠い。作りはかなり古い、シャワーがいまいち。。しかしながら個人的にはまた泊まりたい。Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Supernice hotel with the best pool! Great inn-owner and personal, very friendly atmosphere and located on magazine street which is a cool street with second hand shops and cafés. the only problem is that it is a bit far from Frenchmen street, which is were you want to be for the music at night. takes maybe 20-30 minutes to walk. we def. recommend this […] hotel, the courtyard is heaven! "Great Location, Knowledgeable and Friendly Hosts"
01/21/15 Rick S
My wife, friend and I recently stayed at Green House Inn for four nights. The overall experience was excellent. The hosts, Frank and Jesse, are really nice folks with loads of local information on restaurants and sights. Jesse is involved in (chairs) the historical commission so is a tremendous source for history of the house and the district. The rooms were quite comfortable and roomy. The first three nights we were the only guests, On the fourth night I think they had a full house. Though all guests were well behaved and quiet, the bedroom walls are very thin so you pick up conversations and other noises from next door. I don't think anything can be done about that, and really, it did not bother us much. The only other con is that breakfast is self serve and modest. There are fruits, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, other basics and a waffle maker. The coffee was top notch and plentiful. It was fine for our needs. There are excellent restaurants in walking distance or a short taxi or streetcar drive ride away. The WWII Museum is a short walk away, and NOT to be missed, but allow at least 3-4 hours for the experience.
"A Magical Stay!"
10/14/14 Scott M Minneapolis, Minnesota
We spent our honeymoon in New Orleans at the Green House Inn and we just don't have enough positive things to say about our stay! The staff are all truly warm and caring and go the extra mile to ensure your trip is exactly what you want it to be...the house and room, pool and hot tub, even the amazing trees, plants and parrot all contributed to what amounted to a truly magical stay! Jesse and Frank made it feel like we were staying with old friends who were as invested in our good time as we were! Close enough to everything in the city to be convenient for walking but far enough to be an escape from the noise and crowds, the Inn was perfectly positioned for us! We just cannot recommend the Green House Inn highly enough!

This place is great, its has all you need from an hotel room AND the friendly++ touch of a B&B ! Franck the housekeeper is especially nice and helpfull and friendly. Meeting all the guests at breakfast is very nice too. Location is good, just 20mn from the busy part of town and yet on the other direction, walk 10mn and you have plenty of restaurants available. Parking is free and it is another very good point for the place. And the pool and jacuzzi surrounded by lots of vegetations are here to relax at the end of the day, very nice too and not so common ! If your are looking for a friendly place to stay, with all the amenities of an hotel, its here !
"Awesome Paradise oasis!!"
09/23/14 Olemuel3 Normal, Illinois
this place is just awesome! The lush garden, great staff, and location are wonderful. Another reviewer remarked of a sketchy location, but I saw only a vague hint of this, since the location is walking distance to an overpass where some homeless people gather. But I felt completely comfortable and safe here (including gated parking and multiple keys to gain entrance). The garden area is beyond words. The daily setting for breakfast; the friendly staff; and ambiance of the house itself feels wonderful. The pictures (on the B&B's site) do not lie. It is direct walk to the quarter (though not overly close) and also close to some unique shopping further down Magazine street. I will be back.

We spent another exceptional week at the Inn. The staff is fabulous and the guests are some the most wonderful people. The beds, pillows and linens are better than the comforts of home! Thanks Again!!

"LOVE The Green House Inn"
09/18/14 Blondie L
We've stayed in New Orleans several times over the past few years. We always opted to stay in the Quarter at a hotel. This summer, we wanted something different, so we chose a Bed & Breakfast. We found the Green House Inn, and after discovering the "European Attitude", decided we wanted to give it a try. And glad we did! We've already stayed twice and have planned a trip this November as well with some friends. The location is amazing and accessible. The restaurants nearby are great. It's close to the Quarter, although the last time we stayed, we did not even go to the Quarter. Jesse and Frank are wonderful hosts. This Inn is the epitome of charming. Can't wait for November!
"Great place to relax!!"
08/26/14 J T
We had a great and very relaxing weekend stay at The Green House. The house and grounds are remarkable, especially the pool/garden area, which is truly magnificent. The inn is very well run and it's obvious that a lot of thought has been put into even the smallest of details. That made it easy to relax and enjoy the inn and one of my favorite cities. There are several excellent Warehouse and Garden District Restaurants within easy walking distance as well as the WWII Museum. The dirt cheap St. Charles Avenue streetcar and relatively inexpensive cabs are great options for those areas beyond walking distance without having to take your car.
"New Orleans in the summer? are you crazy?"
08/24/14 luckydave51 Houston
Yes.As Loons. My wife and I love this place during the cooler months and the Mardi Gras season but in summer( we visited in August) you have to have a plan. And we do. It involves lying around the stunning pool during the day soaking up the sun, reading, floating or just enjoying being lazy. Then at dusk we head out for a great meal, great music or whatever fun is going on.In Nola there is always something going on.And The Green House seems to always be right in the middle of it or at least very close. This time it was White Linen Nights just a few short blocks away on Julia St. Lots of art galleries to visit, showcasing some amazing artists.Lots of food booths, plenty of drink booths and even live music on three separate stages. There were thousands of people dressed in white and admission was absolutely free.We have been coming to the Green House and New Orleans for years and both keep getting better.Jesse and Frank see to it.They are extraordinary hosts. The Green House is approaching its 20th year and its a delight any time of the year..even summer.
"Best Kept Secrect in New Orleans"
07/29/14 marvincheryl West Monroe, Louisiana
This bed and breakfast has been serving the New Orleans area for over 20 years now. We have been staying there on a regular basis since 2008. As a matter of fact we just celebrated our 40th reservation and stay this weekend. We have found Jesse (the proprietor) and Frank (office manager) to be very cordial and helpful on anything we have ask. We have fallen in love with New Orleans and the Green House Inn is one of the big reasons for our love of the "city that care forgot." This is not one of the best kept secrets of NOLA, it is the best kept secret. So why am I writing this review. We love to share our secrets.
