Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charlotte/Northlake - Charlotte

We stayed one night so that we could attend a concert in Charlotte. The front desk lady was super-nice, and our room was clean. The walls are really thin, and you can hear everything, but it was tolerable for just one night. There's a Waffle House next door if you're not into the free breakfast.

It is a clean, comfortable place, reasonably priced. The one drawback is trying to turn on the main street. It is always crowded and the drivers don't let you in. The weekend Front desk employee was very friendly and a great help in answering all sorts of questions I had since I had never been in Charlotte.

I stayed at this microtel may 3-7. Was in town for the 2013 carolina rebellion. I had a very pleasant stay and the staff were more than helpful. Denny's,jack in the box, and waffle house all across the street. I really couldn't complain about anything.

Nice little hotel. A short 15 minute drive to downtown but a shorter drive to north lake mall which is 4 miles away. A Waffle House and a jack in the box across the street. Will stay there again.

The hotel was nice. Breakfast was ok but it's the same everyday. Could change it up each day. Service would have scored higher. But we asked for the room to be cleaned the second day and it wasn't. Would stay here again.

Our one night stay was just fine. No problems. Front desk staff was nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cold cereal, muffins, eggs, donuts , toast, fruit, make your own waffles. Just fine for our family.

Great place to stay as this is convenient to the Metrolina shows and Charlotte breweries! Bed was very comfortable, the rooms quiet and the staff friendly. The breakfest was great (included eggs!) and I was able to learn a lot from the staff about places to see. A home-run in my opinion.

The personnel at the inn were very accommodating. I just wish their sign was more visible. We had difficulty finding it because it is tooked into an area away from the road.

Hotel was clean - my room more so than tha lobby areas. The room was spacious, fridge and microwave. Clean bathroom and bed area. Only gripe was the breakfast was cereal and breads - no eggs or protein of any sort. Staff was quite friendly and conditions were great.

This hotel was not at all what I expected. The reviews I read when booking the hotel were all misleading. People in the hotel were very loud and looked pretty sketchy. I found questionable substances in the elevator too. I don't suggest this as a family hotel. Breakfast was awful and ended earlier than most other hotels. Not worth it in my opinion.

being a single woman, i was concerned about safety and you couldnt get any safer. there was NOT anything around but a highway; a dennys and a waffle house. the first day i did not have a rental so i was pretty much stuck in the musty smelling room. on subsequent days, the staff did an amazing job of recommending places and providing detailed directions […] so that i would not get lost. it is convenient to the highway, so that was no problem. the rooms are teeny tiny and smelled of old mildew. the toilet would not flush adequately and i was 'hesitant' of 'doing my business' for fear of it flooding. the coffee was not great but it was free..so thats that. i would stay here again but you HAVE to have a car for your entire visit. nothing special about hotel, but it was cheap, safe, and suited my needs for three days. the walls are thin so if you are a light sleeper as i am, be forewarned. Instead of your typical layout with beds on one wall dresser/cabinets on the opposite wall. Was told @ check in too make sure all valuable items should be removed from vehicle, the guy said your from New York you know how it is. Neighbor hood was not so safe. Was not told that renovations were being done while I was there. Hotel said I booked thru a 3rd party-Hotels.com and that they wouldn't of told me. I stayed there with my 2 children. The hotel attendants wrote very nice and helpful. The room was a little on the smaller side, but it had REAL cable very important with small kids.
