Friends and I stayed at the Pearl Bora Bora end of April 2013 and had an amazing time. We stayed in a overwater end of pontoon bungalow and it was amazing - definitely worth it to get the privacy at the end of the pontoon. Resort had a very Tahiitan feel and the staff were warm and local which made us feel right at home in Bora Bora. When we were there […] the resort was not 100% booked which was actually amazing for us. The resort had a very relaxing vibe and it felt private while on the beach relaxing during the day in the most beautiful lagoon I have ever seen. Other than the buffet breakfast which we had every day I would recommend heading off the resort for dinners unless you wanted to relax with some room service which I thought was good. Maikai restaurant is a short boat and cab ride away - had I tried it sooner I would have returned every night. Other trip recs - Shark boy tours, Jeep 4x4 tour, catamaran, the spa at the resort, skipping Blooby Mary's & would also vote for skipping Moorea stay. We spent a few days at the end of the trip in Moorea to be closer to the airport for our return flights - big mistake. Once you go to Bora Bora no place will ever seem as nice. Read more

Our overwater bungalow view was stunning. Only problem was the airconditioner....first two days it was fine and then water dripped from it and after that, it never got as cold as it did in the beginning. We told management and they sent someone to fix it, twice but still they couldn't. It still got cold at night though so it was manageable. The shop/boutique […] at the hotel didn't sell mych snacks and the nearest grocery store was a boat and a bus ride away. At any rate, the hotel was very nice, staff was courteous and helpful. We spent 3 nights at BB Pearl during a 5 day stop over in Tahiti. The weather was not great, but we had a fantastic 4 days in BB. The resort has a stunning location & the sand bottomed lagoon beneath the over water bungalows is stunning. We chose the BB Pearl because it was one of the only resorts to accept children, which we were very grateful for. […] That said, it isn't particularly child oriented (no childcare etc), but that didn't cause us any issues. We had an overwater bunglaow, so we avoided the inevitable '10 month old trying to eat sand' by being able to transition right from our own deck to the lagoon. The room was fantastic & well stocked, there were a few things that needed attention (lights not working), but these were addressed very quickly by the staff. The staff were very friendly & attentive in all areas. The activity desk had a variety of excursions, we took the half day snorkelling excursion (with Pure Snorkeling), which was fantastic & very baby friendly! We are avid hikers & were disappointed the only hiking they could recommend was on a guided tour, at a cost (we later heard there is an easily found track up the mountain). On the return airport transfer, we were dropped at the airport 2 hrs before our flight & then the flight was delayed 1 hr (BB airport is not a well equipped place to relax with a 10 month old); this transpired to be an admin error & to their credit, the resort quickly credited us the cost of the airport transfer when we highlighted this. Upon arriving at the resort, we were really impressed, but when we got to our bungalow, we had a few let downs. There was no hot water in the shower (only in the tub), and the bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. Also, the food was excessively pricey, and the quality of food did not justify the cost. Very comfortable over-the-water bungalow with direct access to the lagoon. There's a decent beach although the water in the lagoon is pretty shallow. The a la carte dinner was very good and typically overpriced (expected in French Polynesia). The breakfast buffet is good. The dinner buffet on the night with a Polynesian dance show was not very good. […] There is an on-site dive shop. Sea kayaks are free for use. Paying USD39.00 per person each way for a short boat ride between the resort and the airport seems a bit dear and should be built into the price of the room. Internet was unlimited use for 1 day (USD19.00) or 3 days (USD38.00) and was fairly fast and sometimes fast enough to stream TV/movies. There are some minor maintenance issues (ex: a very shoddy billiards table). There is a free boat shuttle to the central/main island with occasional connection to a bus to Viatape. Read more

First and foremost, staff are very friendly and kind. Always greeting you with a warm smile. We had the over water bungalow right above the coral reef which was awesome. We could feed the fish from our room. Food was good but not much variety (expensive), but this was expected. The staff if great. You're met at the airport by an orientation specialists who personally accompanies you on the boat to the hotel where they give you a drink and cold towel, sign you in, give you a tour of the site, show you to your room and answer all your questions. By the end of their quick orientation, your luggage is already in your room. The […] activity desk will arrange anything you want to do, making all the arrangements for a boat, bus or taxi to take you there and notify them that you're on the way. We wanted to shop for pearls downtown, she told us where to get the best deal and called the manager there to give us personalized treatment. Anything you want to do, they make all the arrangements, all you have to do is show up. Everyone on their staff is friendly and will stop whatever they're doing to answer your questions. The client liason (I think her name is Julia) is fantastic! We really enjoyed the couples massage at their spa. Definately upgrade to the overwater bungalo, it's like having your own personal ocean just steps down from the deck. The water is crystal clear, teaming with tropical fish and the perfect temperature. Downside. When we were there, two of the three restaurants were closed for renovation, but the service at the one left open, was good but a little slow during breakfast. Be prepared, everything in Bora Bora is expensive, but the resort prices are comparable to any upscale resort. Read more

We had an excellent experience at the Pearl Beach Resort, the service was really great. We went there for our honeymoon and we were both very happy to stay at such a great place. The rooms were very clean (that was very important for us), they had a very efficient activity desk to handle all of our tours, and the service was really great. We saw a couple […] of Polynesian shows at the resort, we have not seen other shows but we really enjoyed what we saw. There was a boat that went to the main island every hour from 6am to 11pm, so you could always leave if you wanted to, but truthfully the Motu were the Pearl Beach is located doesn´t make you want to leave (except for the awesome tours). We stayed at a Garden Pool Suite and the Premium Overwater Bungalow. The Garden Pool is cheaper, bigger, and we really enjoyed the Jacuzzi (that was awesome), but if you make it to Bora Bora, you must experience the Overwater Bungalow, the Pearl Beach has gorgeous turquoise water and an awesome view of Otemanu (the top of the mountain) try to convince the front desk to put you in a Bungalow with that view. I wish prices were cheaper; Bora Bora in general is very expensive. I had one of the most memorable experiences of my life there…then again being at Bora Bora helps a lot, but I would definitely go back to the Pearl Beach Resort. Read more

The water surrounding is to die for and perfect for taking a dip and wading around at your leisure. The beach and garden bungalows looked very nice as well. The service was good, however the resort needs to be maintained better. The main door handle fell off as soon as we moved in. The balcony did not close and could not be locked. However, all this was fixed quickly as soon as we reported. The safe was all rusted and paint peeling off.The swimming pool needs major repairs. Far away from other resorts.

This was the perfect honeymoon. We went in low season and had almost perfect weather. We loved our overwater bungalow. Nice layout, clean.They had put tiare flowers in our room and it smelt so good, they gave us complimentary welcome honeymoon champagne on the first night and cake on my birthday. The activites desk was good and booked us the best jet ski tour that picked us up at the hotel beach, we loved it and highly recommend! We would never stay on the land, beach/garden rooms, and we strongly warn others who plan on going to splurge that bit more and book an overwater room as we could not play mini golf or go to the bar due to the large amount of mosquitos on land! At the bar we went for happy hour one drink 15min and had about 10 bites each. We never had any mosquitos in the overwater bungalow and could eat on the deck at night and keep our windows open for breeze without worry. Doesnt have much of a beach but gorgeous water/view/snorkling.This place is one of the top bora bora has, more reasonable than some of the high priced but much better than the lower end. Best bang for your buck id say. We were so happy and would have done the exact same thing over. Read more

Bel hotel, isolé de tout, avec superbes bungalows sur pilotis. J'ai aimé le style dans la plus pure tradition polynesienne et une situation incroyable face à la montagne. J'ai moins aimé le nombre assez limité de services proposés en basse saison : un seul resto le soir, peu d'activités, seulement 3 creneaux par jour pour aller au village en bateau […] ...(navette qui est d'ailleurs payante et non pas gratuite comme indiqué sur le site). Nous avons aussi trouvé que le parc en soit était très beau, mais manquait cruellement d'entretien. Encore une fois, probablement la faute à la basse saison. Minigolfs et tennis étaient impraticables, salle de sport et spa impeccable en revanche. En conclusion, hotel top mais je ne le conseille qu'à partir de avril-mai. Read more

Veliky problem s WiFi připojením, které bylo placené. Signál byl velice slabý nebo po dobu xxx hodin vubec žádný. V případe placenené WiFi by mělo vše fungovat bez jakýchkoli problému. Po 3 dnech nebylo co vybírat z jízdního lístku. Doporučuji širší nabídku a větší rozmanitost. Personál hotelu byl velice milý, přijemný a přátelský.

Hotellet hade endast en restaurang i drift under lågsäsongen och övriga faciliteter var i undermåligt skick men servicen var över lag god. O hotel é razoável e não vale o quanto custa. Se puder, escolha uma rede internacional, tipo Interncontinental, Hilton, Four Seasons, etc. Não é que seja ruim, algo que é impossível em Bora Bora, mas os quartos são pequenos, o banheiro é apenas razoável e o atendimento deixa muito a desejar. As coisas são muito caras e o serviço não condiz com esse […] preço. Eu muito provavelmente não voltaria para esse hotel. Ele é bem localizado e se seu objetivo for mergulhar, talvez nem note as intalações. A piscina é absolutamente patética e ninguém entra. Deve ser porque o mar é tão absurdamente maravilhoso que fizeram uma porcaria de piscina com água verde, com aparência de suja. O hotel é bem localizado, fica num dos motus (o que é uma obrigação quando se vai a Bora Bora) e tem serviço de transporte até Vaitape, que é o centro da cidade e onde existem bancos, mercados, lojas, etc. Bora Bora é absolutamente fantástica e vale a visita. Mas o Pearl Beach não vale. Se eu fosse de novo, procuraria outro hotel. Read more
