The staff was friendly, and the kids loved the pool, but the room and bathroom were below par compared to other Super 8 hotels. The toilet and wash basin both seemed to be clogged and were draining very slowly. Other than that the location is pretty decent if you have work in the South side of Edmonton, or even downtown.

The hotel is in desperate need of an update- bedding, tv's. everything. The pool is very small and the hot tub was warm at best. The staff was friendly, but check-out took forever. Continental breakfast was decent.

Hotel is in walking distance to varitey of shopping centers, restaurantes and bowling alley. It has a litle pool with water slide an hot tub and offers complimentary continental breakfast.

The only down side of this trip was the air-conditioner in our room didn't seem to be working right. Other than that, the hotel was very clean, the room was very nice, totally met all our needs, and the area of town was completely nice - a very business district, with tons of shopping right near by. Was a bit of a trip to West Ed., but we only went […] there for one day as there was more than enough shopping right near by...pretty much the whole area around us was shopping! Tons of restaurants right near by, and the Denny's attached to the building was very convenient when we needed dinner when we arrived at 11:30pm. Overall very impressed. Needed hotel on South side for kids basketball tournament. Hotel had pool and water slide. Perfect. Beds surprisingly comfy. Hotel very popular with sports teams. Showing wear and tear. Free breakfast was great. Don't have high expectations and I would stay there again.

Overall, the hotel is small but very convieniently located on Gateway Blvd in the south. I do all my shopping in South Commons so I love this area. It's also next to a gas station, next to a bowling alley, right next to dennys, close to Canadian Tire and Walmart. The one unenjoyable thing I have to admit is that the beds are a tad bit uncomfortable-my […] back hurt in the morning. And they do allow pets..but PET OWNERS BEWARE..they expect you to stay with your pet at all times. That's obviously not convienient for anyone as the summer heat (and your pet in the car while you shop) is not a desirable situation. So just know that before going here because it doesn't say that on this site. :) I didn't try the continental breakfast but there is one! Not sure I'd stay again as I'm always travelling with my pets and a comfortable bed is #1 on my priority list. Read more

I have stayed at this facility several times over the past few years, stayed again based on previous experiences which were positive. This time however the room chosen (queen suite on 4th floor) was a bit disappointing simply as it was worn down a bit and carpet wasn't as clean as it could have been. The front desk service I found very friendly and helpfull.We stayed in a pet friendly room which was way better than some I have stayed in.Breakfast was good.We had a lot of fun in the pool.I would not suggest staying in the Super 8 in Valemount, B.C. Canada,it is old dirty and run down.The breakfast was good though.

Daughter hit head twice on side of waterslide - at the end, just before entering water. Also saw another child hit their head on same area of waterslide twice. Just make sure to tell your child (if they are 5 or under) to make sure they go a little slower!

The stay was very good clean hotel. I had a few problems and some was fixed others were ignored :( It was nice location. Near lots of shopping centres. Kids loved the swimming pool with waterslide. Hot tub is a little 2 small. Breakfast was good.

I found this hotel to be a great place to stay with my family. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was great and had a variety to choose, including fruit and a protein option. Since we have a 17 month old, I was pleased to see that they even had high chairs. Rooms looking worn and tired. Very uncomfortable beds. Very small bathrooms. Vanity area out in the open so you cannot be sleeping when someone is getting cleaned up due to light and noise.

The staff were very friendly. Variety of places to eat and shop. For a family of four, our children enjoyed the indoor pool access and the slide, we could not pull them away. Complementary breakfast was reasonable with great hours for those who sleep in. Unfortunately, the coin laundry service could use an upgrade.

Could use some new carpet in the hallways. Other than that I had a wonderful stay, rooms were clean and well maintained and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The entrance doors lock for security purposes every night. I couldn't get out one night. Had to find a staff member to open it for me. I was missing pouder (make-up) in my room. The hotel was very adequate for our needs. We found the room large and comfortable as we were only staying for one night to attend a play at the Citadel. It is nice that it is so close to shopping and restaurants. We all enjoyed the free breakfast and my little girl enjoyed the pool and waterslide.
