"Didn't have bed bugs" is nicest thing I can say. This is so not up to Caesars Las Vegas standards it shouldn't carry the name. Rooms are smallish. "Ocean view" was almost worthless due to poor tinting on window combined with dirtiest window I've ever seen. People were great but the hotel is like Mayberry and shuts down early- checked in one night after […] work- after we got seeker it was after 9 and we went looking for dinner- no real sit down meals available after 9- NOT EVEN ROOM SERVICE open- what kind of casino doesn't have 24hr room service!? Casino floor is way smokier than any las Vegas property. Good luck getting a free drink while gambling- there's like one waitress for a huge expanse- when she arrived the options were extremely limited(again not Vegas)- and when she came back with drinks I thought we were on candid camera- they serve the "drinks" in disposable cups the size your dentist gives you mouthwash in- you seriously get more alcohol in the mouthwash while cleaning your teeth! Hotel is obviously decades old (or maintained as such)- time for Las Vegas style implosion amd rebuild. All around shameful for the brand. "Not what I expected after paying 150 for one night"
Awful just awful! The room was far away from everything and near the restroom so it smelled when you walked to your elevator. The person who checked us in told us that our elevators was 7 miles from where they actually were. That was a hike! The elevator couldnt fit 3 people with bags comfortably in it. we called down to the front desk only to be put […] on hold for 20 minutes and still no one answered our call! We ended up hanging up and having to go down to the front desk for help. There were cigarette burns on the chairs and the bathroom didn't look like it was cleaned. We finally start to gamble and most of the dealers at the tables were very grumpy. We were very disappointed in this hotel. While our room was nice and amenable, the hotel gave us some problems. To start with, you have to pay to park in their parking garage, and I don't remember reading anything about that. Then it took forever to get to our room in the never ending labyrinth of hallways. I really loved almost everything about my stay. However my view was semi tainted by an overzealous & untruthful check-in clerk. I had already booked & paid for my 2 night stay on hotels.com for a room with a king sized bed. It was for a romantic stay with my part to celebrate her birthday. "Best of a bad bunch?"
Overall satisfying stay with some issues! Upon arrival, there were no non-smoking rooms. Guests told "non-smoking is a preference, not a guarantee”. I was told to come back to desk in AM to switch. In the meantime, we were upgraded to a small suite, which was lovely, but still smoky. In AM, we determined we'd move. Front desk said there were still no […] rooms available. They did guarantee a room for later so we left our bags. Upon return we got a non-smoking room. It would have been REALLY nice if they had maintained our upgrade at that stage but they didn't. Having had slightly negative feelings about the check-in experience/staff, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and good advice on dining options from the bellhop. We also had several very positive interactions with staff going about their duties, which made us feel that wrong people were on front desk! Overall, AC Hotels are smoky in public spaces, noisy and in many cases tired and seedy looking; (e.g. Trump Plaza where we stayed last time.) The Borgata is MUCH nicer but it's an outlier, in terms of location - you can't use it as a walking base and it's more expensive than the other hotels. Caesars, in my opinion, is the best of a bad bunch - within easy walking distance of the Convention Center, boardwalk and Outlet Stores... This was my first time staying at Caesars and it was beautiful. The location of the hotel is perfect being right in the center of the boardwalk and I also loved that it is connected to Ballys. "Caesar's Atlantic City"
Business travel with a colleague to a nearby town. We chose Caesar's based on reputation of Vegas location. We were surprised at what we found. Many bars/restaurants closed. Breakfast service before 7:30 not possible - buffet not even laid out til 7:45. Rude, demanding staff - "I need to see your ID!". Really? To charge a meal to my room, my key & name […] isn't sufficient? A front desk staffer who didn't believe me when I called to report Internet access issues. Bath towels that were far from fluffy. VERY inconvenient car valet service - no ability to call for car in advance (you have to go to valet window), and long waits for the car to brought up, even though you're the only patron waiting. Generally speaking, we found it much lower quality/sophistication than we expected - certainly lower than, say, any Hilton. We stayed here before with no problems. However this time we stayed in the Temple Towers. On our checkout day only one of three elevators were working. The management handled this situation poorly in my estimation. Evidently it is common for the staff to use this elevator from the first floor to go to the second floor. Why?? I don't know but I watched […] it happen often. Instead of telling the staff to use the escalator that day then allowed the practice to continue. It caused more inconvenience for the guests fighting to get a ride on the single elevator left operating. Only one person was working on the broken elevator which I thought could have been addressed. Also there is no seating in the casino except for your room. I guess its their way of getting you to the casino floor. I don't understand why they think all of us who stay there gamble.
