Hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous, room was ready on time, maids were super great about cleaning. The location was great and we could stroll around the French Quarter without problems. Also a great location to catch one of the Tram lines, which aren't super exciting but a good experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel, Great Location"
Came down for vacation, this hotel is close enough to all the fun things, but far enough away from the heavy partying. Hotel was gorgeous, staff was very friendly and helpful. Its very close to all cable cars making traveling very easy. Only thing we didnt like was not having a refrigerator and microwave in our room. Otherwise, everything was wonde […] rful. Just ok. Location was nice. Housekeeping forgot to change the towels. Small room. Nothing horrible.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was a business trip. The location of the hotel was convenient, considering the meetings I needed to attend were each within a short walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review

Yeah it can be a little small and a little loud at night. Your in NO great place to stay would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Trip to New Orleans"
It was close enough to all the action but far enough away to escape some of it. We did end up walking a lot but a great trip overall!Genuine Expedia guest review
The front desk staff was very accomadating & helpfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Went to Saints game in November and every hotel downtown was full except this one at $199. This is the first time I have seen a mandatory resort fee outside of Vegas. Woman said it included the fitness center and free internet? The place seems to be an old 1970's office building conversion. New Orleans rates are very much dominated by time of year demand. "Good hotel in a good location"

"Nice hotel near French Market area"
Overall our stay with this hotel was good. Room a bit small and no window, yet for how long we were in our room each day, it accommodated our needs for this trip. Loved PJ's Coffee down below, easy access to the Trolley and the buses. The staff did a wonderful job in getting us taxis as needed. Walking distance to Bourbon Street. "Nice hotel, clean. Room was tiny."
The room was clean, but too small to even open up our suitcase anywhere but on the bed. The shower wouldn't hold a steady temperature of water through even one shower. The bathroom fan was so noisy, it drove us crazy while we were getting ready.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Within walking distance to main attractions"
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located within walking distance to Bourbon Street which was great for our group. We arrived early and were able to do early check-in. The hotel staff called within minutes to inform us that our room was available.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel; very convenient."
I would absolutely stay here again: I was allowed to check-in early, my room was comfortable, clean, and had a nice view; wi-fi was free (this is not true of all hotels in the area); printing was free (also not true of all hotels in the area); and the staff were among the friendliest and most helpful of any hotel I've stayed at, ever. Seriously, they […] were wonderfully nice and really, really helpful. Finally, having a coffee shop in the bottom of the hotel on a business trip was a godsend. The location is also great; less than a ten minute walk from the French Quarter, & it was an easy morning walk to go get beignets! Thanks for everything. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would not stay here again."
The staff was very friendly. But from the moment we stepped into the hotel it was not good. From the crowds in front of the hotel and the neon lights glowing through the lobby. Definitely not what we expected from a New Orleans Hotel. The room was claustrophobic and did not have a window. NO WINDOW!!! How can you not have a window in the room??? There […] was plastic protectors on the bed which made it very warm and noisy when ever you moved in bed. They charge you incidental fees for the safe and our safe did not work. We mentioned it to the hotel staff and nothing was resolved. In the middle of my shower the water turned ice cold. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal St. Charles Hotel We sincerely apologize that you found your visit disappointing. We are a modern, boutique hotel located in a busy downtown area. We do have a limited number of interior rooms without windows. On occasion we receive complaints about them, but many guests appreciate them after spending a late night out enjoying the French Quarter. We hope that you will return and allow us to provide a room that will meet your expectations.
Loved the hotel. Staff was super friendly. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very accommodating staff"
We spent three pleasant nights at the Royal St. Charles Hotel and left very pleased by the experience. First, the things that didn't quite work for us. Walking into the hotel, the lobby is noisy, with a coffee bar to one side and the main desk seemingly plopped out in the middle of the room. Rather than conveying a NOLA feeling, it just seemed strange. […] Like many hotels located in or near the French Quarter, our room was also a bit small. Finally, the water can go from freezing cold to scalding during the course of a single shower. All that said, there are many more things to commend this hotel. It is located next to the St. Charles Streetcar and within easy walking distance of many French Quarter attractions. The rooms are clean and functional while the staff were just GREAT, cheerfully providing answers to our questions and efficiently resolving a small plumbing problem in our room. I will gladly return to the Royal St. Charles Hotel when we next visit New Orleans. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This boutique Hotel is in a great location and is very nice.....The people working there could not have been more helpful. "Hotel in the Big Easy"
This Big Easy Hotel was a great place to stay for both business downtown and of course Bourbon St. Great staff, nice rooms. They even have a 3rd party coffee shop in the lobby!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Royal St Charles"
I thought this was a very good hotel for what we wanted. It is not on Bourbon St, but its only a couple blocks a way and is definitely worth it. It only takes a few minutes to walk to the French Quarter and you are also within easy walking distance, which also gives you the benefit of a good nights sleep since you cannot hear all the noise from Bourbon. […] It's also really close to the waterfront area as well. Although its not a 5 star place, it's definitely nice and worth the money and I thought everything was very good overall. The staff was very helpful and friendly and handled any requests or questions right away. I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"BBB annual Assembly"
I could've stayed at the Marriott with 300 other BBBers, but I chose not to. The Royal St. Charles Hotel was perfectly situated for my wife and me. Miguel recommended Daisy Dukes for good food, and we found his recommendation was on target, plus it was only a couple of hundred yards from the hotel. The staff was friendly; the maid service was adequate […] all but one day; about 10 pm I noticed there were no bath towels or any others that were clean. the only thing that had been changed was the bath mat. I called the front desk, and a man brought us the towels, etc. within about 10 minutes. That was the only hiccup at the hotel. Everything else was fine. We stayed 5 nights. I'd recommend it to anyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Nice place. Very friendly and helpful service from bell men to housekeepers. Front desk employees were excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was alright. Nothing spectacular. The front desk folks were really nice, but they did slap on an 'Added Value' fee that I was not expecting to pay. The location isn't too bad -- just a few blocks until you hit Bourbon Street and close to an amazing restaurant, Luke.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
it was a very nice and comfortable place to stay. I would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Updated Hotel, Amazing Service and location"
I first stayed at hotel Monteleone for work, then came and stayed here and I thought this was a more updated hotel with larger rooms. Great location, green trolley picks you up right in front of the hotel. From the bell service to the front desk we had great customer service. Specifically Keianna helped me all weekend find the fun things to do and was […] amazing. I really can't think of anything I didn't like about this place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great Hotel, great service, great price for the place and location. Will try to stay there everytime we go to New OrleansGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for...."
This hotel is just off the beaten path but close to everything. The room was average with no real view of anything of interest. The beds were comfortable and clean, but the maid service was terrible and very unpredictable to say the least and forget about restocking the coffee and such. The desk staff were wonderful and very friendly. The area of the […] hotel is very seedy and dark with street beggars every 15 to 20 feet. The sound of the trolley just outside of our window squeaking all night was a little irritating and the walls were very thin. The other thing you might want to think about is the fact that there is NO pool, which would have been great after a long day of sweating and street grime. There is a $10 a day fee for the work out room and continental breakfast that was never served and no vending machines. The shower in the room varied from freezing cold to burn off your flesh hot and not much in between. The TV was minimal as far as channels to choose from since there is no cable box and most channels pixelated at will. But all in all I guess it wasn't too bad of a hotel, but with no pool it was lacking in relaxation after a long day of walking. So the old saying " You get what you pay for " applies to this hotel in every way...I suggest finding one with a pool and a hotel bar if possible.... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was incredible and very attentive. They handle every request, gave great recommendations for places to go and see, and made sure that I had a ride back to the airport. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
