For the price paid this hotel is totally worth the money. Free breakfast and no resort fees! Location right on fremont. Hotel staff were very nice compared to some higher priced hotels. Front desk was friendly at check in. Valet guys were nice. Breakfast was awesome. Room was a little dated and tired but for the rate paid it was clean, quiet and safe.

This area has more lodging variety than The Strip. East of the Strip features both gaming and non-gaming properties that range from budget to luxury accommodations. Key attractions here include the Las Vegas Convention Center, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the McCarran International Airport, several office parks, and the Restaurant Row along Flamingo and Paradise roads.

Loved the room - hotel staff were very nice - location is as good as any - will stay there again if the cost remains reasonable.
Love the shuttle to strip and airport, saved us a ton of money. It only runs every hour so gotta catch it on time! No resort fee , more savings! Clean room but gave wrong room at first, gave us new room w no problem! Toilet in new room backed up but staff was fast n responsive! Away from noisy strip but only a 10 $ cab ride for 3 ppl. clean pool! Soft […] bed, fluffy pillows. love this place Read more

"Never Again"
It was not up to Best Western standards. The shuttle driver was downright rude. That's all.

"get what you pay for...."
This was just fine for what I paid. Very close to the convention center. Nice people and good service. Restaurant service was very good. It's an old hotel that's seen better days. Old furniture, old carpet, etc. Clean but old. Not that close to the strip but they run and shuttle and near the tram. I might stay there again for a trade show for a night […] or two. Read more

"Close to Convention center"
Very close to the convention center and less pricey than other hotels. 5 minute walk, which was great.
"best western mardi gras las vegas"
everything was very nice, except for the male server in the restaurant. we waited for at least 15 minutes to be greeeted after he sat us so we left for awhile came back, since there's not any more places to eat around there, when we went back he said it would be 30 minutes to be servered because he was about to get a party of 30, and that's why he didn't […] greet us before because he was stetting up for it . there was only two of us so wow are you kidding me. we ended up ording pizza to be delivered to our room. "Best Western - 02/20"
I'd give this hotel a 4 for the price and room size. They are very friendly and accommodating, so if you're looking for an inexpensive hotel this is it. It's basically one of those drive-up hotels where you can drive your car up to your door and it has 3 levels. The size of the rooms are great. I had a queen bed with separate area with couch, table […] and TV area. They could very simply replace all the old carpets in the rooms and update the paint job and it would make a huge difference, but again for what I paid can't complain. The idea that this is a casino is a joke, but I was a biz conference and don't gamble. But if you are expecting a casino it's a lobby area with maybe 30+ slots. You can eat in the restaurant...but it's a bar restaurant and the smoke from that and lobby/casino is strong. THere's a McDonald's 200 yards down the road so breakfast was convenient rather than in restaurant. There's a shuttle in the evening at the top of every hour that takes you to Bally's on the strip, so that helps. Bottom line, you really don't need a car if you don't want, just use shuttle and taxes. Read more
"Stay in Vegas"
Best part of this hotel was the service offered by the staff. Everyone was sooo friendly and accommodating.....gave directions, answered questions all with smiles on their faces. The stay was for one night, had it been longer would have needed different pillows.
"Great deal!"
I've stayed here several times before and it's always clean, convenient and the staff is friendly. Good weekend prices, too. I'll be staying here again!
"the best western mardi gras in vegas"
We enjoyed the oversize room so much that we extended for four days... ...the check in was very fast, the personel was very freindley and the hotel was quiet. we used the shuttle many times to go on the strip and the driver was very informative. The room was done a little later and the staff was very discrete. The hide a bed in the room was kind of […] old but the bed was comfortable. Read more
"The Room"
The room was really great - more than i expected. It was a bit like a home away from home. i just loved it. Thank you
We got to Las Vegas one night early, so needed a room to relax before attending a course at Front Sight. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Got a great nights rest to start the next day's activities refreshed and ready to go all day. Would stay there next time in the area.
"Good for the Price"
Being on Paradise Road is great when you have to deal with traffic and that's the main reason I stay at this tired but ok hotel. Can be a little noisy.... good they have free internet..however make sure you ask to be close to a router... they have server problems...not hotels fault....One night not all towels were replaced...oh well I had enough... […] room does have a smell to it...so if you are sensitive bring something to nice it up... heater worked..yeah and refirg, worked..and so easy to get on strup and to hotels as well as freeway....road now fixed so things in neighborhood much better.... for the price it was good....I would stay there again when strip hotel prices too high or I need easy access to my training facilities.. "Good Locatio/You get what you paid for"
The price is what you pay for. Room was clean but smelled like cigarretes. They don't have comforters on the beds. Good location for Convention Center and Monorail.
"Couple issues, but otherwise, great!"
Bad - Had some issues with the toilet, the couch was a worn out Good - Everything else. Would most likely stay here again. Located in a pretty good spot. Good "waypoint" for either heading to the Main Strip of Vegas, or to the old strip. And, the lady that was working down at the little casino was very sweet.
"best weastern mardi gras las vegas"
the room was great . A great time and it was quiet. We walked to the convention center.
"Great Value and Location"
This is a great hotel for the value. If you just need a place to lay your head at night, this is your choice. The hotel is a bit dated and the furnishings haven't been replaced recently but the staff is outstanding and the rates very low. You could stay at the Bellagio one night or here for a week and feel more welcome.
"Best western mardi gras... Las vegas"
Was a nice room... Clean
"Best western Las Vegas Mardi Gars"
Stayed for three nights at a very decent price. The location of the hotel was perfect. we did not expect to have the room be so big. The courtyard was perfect. The only thing was the elevator was a little creeky. but all in all it was a great stay! This hotel will be one of the first we look at when we return. Thank you very MCUH!

"Best Stay for Dirt Cheap"
Extremely satisfied by the hotel layout and sanitation. Wished I could of stayed longer!
"It was Worth the Price!!!"
First of all, I'm not one to write reviews but I liked my stay so much, I decided to write a review. I reserved it online and to my surprise, it was the second cheapest hotel on hotels.com. The only other one cheaper than this was a ghetto motel off the strip. 1. The quality of the service was great. My sheets and bedding was always cleaned and fixed. […] The towels restocked, along with everything else we used. 2. Cleanliness of my room - it seemed like it was always vacuumed and tables wiped clean. 3. Comfort of my room - It was really comfortable. The bed almost felt like temperpedic. I loved how the two queen beds were separated by a mini wall type island. 4. The hotel was easy to find and the surrounding location seemed like a safe enough place. It was walking distance from the strip and the people mover (train) was right next to it. 5. Condition or Maintenance of the hotel - Alright, I saved the only 4 rating for last. The reason is because the TV was old fashion. I got me a DVD player and rented a few movies hoping to make it a blockbuster night with my wife, but when I got there, not only was the TV a piece of crap 27 inch tube that didn't display most of the screen, but it didn't have any AV hookups. It's 2011, I think every hotel should have a flat screen with AV/HDMI hookups. That was my only complaint. Other than that, it's Vegas, and most people wouldn't be there to primarily watch TV anyways. Overall, I really loved the hotel, and I think it really helped that my room was on the first floor right next to my parking. I would definitely go back or refer family and friends to this Best Western. Read more
"Best Western Mardi Gras"
This hotel had an odor, the A/C in the room wasn't working and when asked to come and fix it-no one came. When there are many choices all in the same price range, I was surprised that Best Western didn't come up as reliable as in other states. I won't stay there again, as when you travel cross country you want to walk into a simple room that is clean […] and comfortable. No frills were needed...but the basics weren't met. Read more
"Smoky room"
Bed was nice and comfy not hard like a lot of lower price hotels. I asked for a NON smoking room when I booked and when I got to the front desk. I got a very smoky room. I knew i should have went back to the desk the minute i walked into the room, but after a 5 hour drive we just wanted to relax a few minutes. So we then out for dinner returned to our […] room and want to bed, I wok up in the middle of the night stuffed up and not breathing well I have asthma. I left a note for the maid service the next morning and asked them to spray something or do something or get me a new room. They did nothing. They also threw away my water and half a small bottle of shampoo. WHAT? never had that happen before in a hotel. Something else i know they had no control over was motorcycle riders who were staying at the hotel were coming and going all night both nights and made it hard to sleep hearing their roaring engines. "Walk to the Convention Center"
A fine value for a place to sleep that is conveniently located to walk to the Convention Center. Good ethnic restaurants within 5 minutes drive.
Nice standard hotel. Close to Convention Center and in great condition. I would highly recommend.
we were very satisfied with the hotel and how close it was to the strip, however the girls at the front counter really need to work on their people skills and learn their job. the women in front of us was yelling at them and we thought it was just a rude women, and then we had to deal with them and quickly realised it was the staff. will never stay […] here ever again, and will not recommend this hotel to anyone. oh and clean your carpets once in awhile. "expected a better quality"
It wasn't the hotels' fault that Paradise Rd was excavated making it quite challenging to drive up to the hotel, but it spoiled the first impression. The toilet got clogged on the second day, and the maintenance told us it had just been repaired, so apparently it's a permanent or frequent problem. There were no clean towels in the pool area even though […] it was only 5 PM when we first came in, and the next morning there were no towels till 10 AM, but we absolutely loved the choice of music played at the pool--the sweet 70s-80s--we enjoyed it. The business center with a key to start the computer on a ring of the size of an atomic bomb--are you kidding? And lastly, why is there a kitchen area in the rooms if there're no fridges and/or microwaves--just doesn't make any sense. Oh yes, and some staff members at the reception desk were friendly and helpful, but some were simply rude. Because we had a rented car, the location was really convenient. We drove to Harrah's parking lot (5 minutes) and stayed on the Strip till late at night with no fear how to get back to the hotel. Another positive thing is that we felt pretty safe, and the price was really affordable. Read more
"Inexpensive, older hotel - OK"
This is an old hotel so as long as you know that going in, it is fine. You can't beat the price and since its off the main drag, it was pretty quiet. There is road construction going on (seems to be the case everywhere in Vegas) so it was no easy to get in and out. The room was large and clean. The beds were comfortable. Not really a great area but […] again, you're in Vegas. Read more
"Best Western - Las Vegas"
Pros: Good Room No resort fees Parking close to the rooms Cons: Away from Strip No Breakfast
"The Ghetto Las Vegas Hotel with roaches!"
Horrible room with roaches, a broken TV, burn stains on the carpet, and all the drains clog up.
"Best Western Vegas"
Hotel is an OK place to overnight. On a busy street that is under construction (night) It is showing its age but staff does a good job of upkeep. Even though close to the convention center it is not a long stay, show hotel. More the feel of a youth hostel. Lots of young people on tours. Free internet works.
"Best Western LV, NV"
Need to improve customer service. There were two workers behind the desk, but only one was really helping the customer. Checkout needs to be at 12pm.
