"Maintenance and basic customer service"
Love the Braves and the hotel location for attendance of games. Really bad experience this occasion. After returning to our hotel after the game at 10:45 we discovered part of the ceiling tile in our bathtub and our bathroom floor and carpet wet with water. Immediately called the front desk to report thinking obviosly potential for water damage from […] leak above . Front desk person said she would have someone from engineering up there immediately which turned out to be 30 minutes later At 11:15 hotel person arrived to look at bathroomand said must be a leak from 521 above. Person left room at this time and at 12:00 am we still had heard nothing about our nights plan. My wife and two daughters ask me to again call front desk to inquire what we should do since it was now midnight and in essence we were captive to our situation not having info if we were moving or what.Front desk when I called simply replied with explanation engineer said everything was okay and did we need someone to clean the bathroom. Agreed if that was hotel answer to situation then send someone up so we could go to bed. 12:30 passed with nobody there so again called front desk with no answer for approximatelt 25 rings. Hung up and then knock at door from clening lady wh mopped floor in bathroom and left leaving fallen ceiling in bathtub. Never an apology offered , I work in customer service and am quite certain hotel response wasn't response in rtrospect they would have deemed adequate. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This would be a perfect hotel for anyone going to a Braves game. You can see Turner field from the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to field, but not worth it"
It was nice being so close to the field, BUT, all roads close down so you cannot drive anywhere about 3-4 hours before and after the game. The cops blocking off the roads would not let us get into the parking lot of the hotel. The hotel was nasty, 1. The shower curtain was soured and had a pee smell to it when we showered. 2. The carpet was dirty 3. […] There was a tray of food, drinks and trash that sat at the table by the elevator for a day and a half. (Longer than we stayed there) 4. Front desk employees were rude and not willing to help, they were more concerned with who ever was working on shift because they would finish an entire conversation before helping anyone. 5. The parking was ridiculous. When you drive to the parking garage, they have three or four parking spots right there, the placement is wrong, so do not park there because someone can run into you so easily. "only good for a braves game"
it's only good for a braves game. it's surrounded by nothing but turner field and is a pain to get in and out of on game days. the hotel is old and the staff isn't very helpful. forget about ordering room service as they have no clue what they are doing. the only positive is that you don't have to worry about parking for game day.Genuine Expedia guest review

Hotel & Room was outstanding; however had to pay $18 to park car at the hotel, in addition to our room; which was never disclosed when making reservation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Greate hotel near Turner field."
The hotel room was very clean as was the entire hotel. It was easy to acess and find. It was easy to get to downtown and the zoo. It would be a great place to stay if going to a baseball game.Genuine Expedia guest review
Glad they won the two games we went to see because the hotel was a disappointment. Room needed updated. Only four small elevators for 15 floors. Restaurant was a joke. Only burgers and fries that cost $12. Parking cost $18. Not what i have come to expect from a Holiday Inn.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed a night after attending a braves game. Had no rooms ready by advertised check in time, most of the staff was unfriendly, and parts of the hotel smelled like a public restroom. Best part was the convience to the ballfield.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was great except for trying to park at the hotel during a Braves game. The hotel opens their parking lot for Braves' fans at a charge of $20.00. That's fine but returning to the hotel during a game it was extremely difficult to find and access a parking place due to cars being double parked and blocking entrances and exits to the parking […] lot and parking deck. Hotel guests pay $18.00 per day for parking plus room rates and should have parking available and accessible . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Brave's Game Location"
Great location to stay for a Brave's Game because it is within walking distance to the stadium, but be prepared to wait an extremely long time to get an elevator. 16 floors and only 4 elevators???Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel ok. Great shuttle option."
The building is old and while some updates have been made, you get what you pay for. The walls are thin enough to hear conversations in surrounding rooms and the TV next door. There is an excellent shuttle that has drop off and pick up options within a 3 mile radius.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel if you are going to Turner Field."
Good choice if you want a hotel within walking distance of Turner Field.Genuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed our stay very much. We came for the Glow in the Dark 5K run held at Turner Stadium, which was right across the street. The manager of the hotel was very friendly with a sense of humor. He maintained conversation with us while we waited to get checked in. The only downside was having to pay for parking. It was a little pricey. Overall we enjoyed […] our stay and would return. Great hotel. Only reason why I took off a few points was that they are located in a food and restaurant desert. That, and there's no room service available after breakfast, and the bar closes extremely early. But the upside is they have shuttle that run until 10:30pm that can take you almost anywhere you'd want to go. If you're a night owl - well, you'd […] likely be taking a cab anyways :). "Welcoming staff, comfortable lobby, good location"
The hotel staff -- especially the front desk staff, both shuttle drivers and the bartender (LaTasha) -- were professional, cheerful, patient and made helpful suggestions throughout my stay. My room was quiet, clean and everything worked. I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste and the hotel provided these items at no charge. The staff made what could […] have been a difficult trip very pleasant. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The worst food service I have ever had!"
Room was great. We were there for the Braves games; knew there was a full house. My son and friends went to the games and I decided to have room service and stay in. I ordered a sandwich and they said it would take a little while because they were slammed. (about 20 minutes) Understandable. An hour and 25 min. later I called down, they didn't even have […] an order for me!. After the game we all decided to go down to the grill in the hotel for dinner. Had to wait in the bar for a table. No problem, they had the first dinner seating in there already. Got called in, in about a half an hour, got seated and proceeded to wait. NO one came to get a drink order, no one said anything, nothing for 40 minutes till we flagged down a lady who didn't even have the table. She took our order, finally got drinks about 10 minutes later. (By now, the room had really started to clear out again. 3 tables came, ate and left, and we had no food (there were only 3of us). Finally our food came out 45 minutes after we ordered, only one thing was even etable, the food had obliviously been under the warm lamps for a long time since you could use the potato skins as hockey pucks. No silverware, no salad dressing. Without a double the worst food service I have ever had at a holiday Inn. and probably the worst anywhere. I would never go back to that hotel and advise others not to as well or atleast don't expect any food service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Try to avoid this hotel"
Front desk staffs are so cold that it looks like they don't even care if you stay here or not. Outside the hotel there are some homeless people sitting. Inside the room, the tv was old fashion 4:3, and its working noise is a torture. The AC is so old and noisy, too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Honest housekeeping staff!"
Stayed in this hotel 2 nights...left some expensive concert tickets in the desk drawer upon leaving, and thought I would never get them back. Housekeeping found them and called me! Very honest housekeeping staff and all the staff was very helpful!!! Will definitely stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Within walking distance to Turner Field."
Loved the free shuttle service to most all the attractions in Atlanta. Within walking distance of Turner Field. Hotel has plenty of amenities but is in major need of upgrades. Carpeting is wrinkling up in many areas of hallways. Nice facility and great location but could use a facelift. I would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Parking should be included into price but it's not. Parking is also bad overpriced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In town for the weekend Braves/Nationals games"
Close to Turner field walking distance, many like myself were baseball fans. Staff was very helpful. Also a shuttle service to go downtown was a welcome amenity, other than the ball park not much in walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Lovely hotel. Very comfortable"
My husband and I were in town celebrating our 1 year anniversary. Check in was a breeze. The room was clean and very comfortable. The view from the room on the 9th floor was wonderful. Even though we didn't spend alot of time in the room, I enjoyed every minute of it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful hotel & shuttle service around downtown"
The pillows could have been more comfortable. However, it was a very nice hotel and the free shuttle service was excellent. Takes you anywhere within 3 mile radius. Very smart and useful.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Building is great but some of the people need work"
The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The only negative aspect of the entire stay was some customer service issues. The tall lady at the front desk when I checked in could use a few classes in hospitality! She didn't even smile once the whole time I was in line or while she was checking me in. She made me feel like she could not have […] cared less whether I or any of the guests stayed there or at another hotel. Had my reservations not been nonrefundable, I would have looked elsewhere just based on her attitude! Also, when I called the desk the next morning to request more towels, I was told it wasn't time for my room to be serviced. At other hotels, this hasn't been a problem so I thought that was unsatisfactory. Overall, the facilities were great, but points were lost due to poor customer service at times. "Close to baseball stadium and other activities."
The room was ok. It would have cost extra for a fridge and microwave. We had a difficult time navigating at night as the baseball games would end and then our street became a one way going in the wrong direction. Also, the pool was being redone so a jackhammer was being used. We were not made aware of this through Expedia or by the motel when I called […] and spoke with them. It was easy to get to the roads that we needed to access during the day. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It started off well enough. Keep in mind it is a conference center, and they did not appear to have the necessary guidelines in place to host major events, which they were hosting when my wife and I stayed there. The halls were filled with people who you didn't know if they were supposed to be there or not (a little scary to think about when your wife […] is by herself) and the hotel staff did not appear to do anything to make sure that the only people in the hotel were those who were supposed to be there. The hotel sits by Turner Field, and Atlanta PD often changes the traffic pattern around the hotel, which makes it difficult/impossible to get back. Obviously you should just be able to call the hotel, which should have procedures in place to respond to these situations. When my wife called, they told her there was no information they could give her to help. Lastly, also when I was at work, my wife went to the front desk to get another key, and they told her because her name was not on the room, they could not let her in. Instead of sending security to verify that her stuff was in the room, allowing her access to the room to get her important medications, or allowing me to just call and say she could get a key, they just refused to help her. When she told them we were supposed to check-out and our stuff was still in the room, the manager ignored her. It appeared to us their policy is one based on inconvenience and a lack of general planning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was great for a braves game. They do increase price for game days, was a bit pricey and had to pay an extra $18 for parking, which was not mentioned. Hotel was clean and close walk to the game. I would stay again, but only for games.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to Turner Field"
The stay was over all ok. Very disappointed that the lounge and dining facility was close between the hours of 2-4 with no eating facilities close by. Was very disappointed that I was charged $18.00 for parking and you charge fans for the game $15.00. I have never paid for parking when I was customer at any Hotel. It appeared to me the Hotel was more […] concern with getting the parking lot filled with attendees for the game. Plus it was very hard to find a parking spot, After these concerns I will never stay there again. The small pillows made it hard to sleep. Anybody has access to enter the Hotel from the rear and from the side, No security that I saw anytime. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Room reserved not available"
Our overall visit with the hotel was good. The only bad experience we had was that we booked a king size non-smoking room and arrived at the hotel at approximately 3:25 pm. Was told that we would have to wait until after 4-4:30 because the room was not ready. Check in time is 3:00 pm. Was offered a Queen non-smoking room and was told that they normally […] charge more for the queen room but they would waive the extra charge. When we booked the king size non-smoking room, it was a higher price than for the queen size room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bad windows, very noisy hotel"
Bad windows with lots of noise from outside. Very poor wifi signal in my room, which made me go elsewhere to work. Maybe 10 TV channels only. Not as described distance to downtown. Lots of traffic to reach hotel even for a 2 mile ride, took a while.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
