Garden View Hotel - London

Hotel Staff were brilliant. Our room was not only large by London standards but also very comfortable. We were minutes from the Earl's Court Station , the neighborhood Tesco store (open 24hrs.), and situated around a park. There is also a breakfast included for those who need to eat in the a.m. Value for money for sure and did I mention the Hotel Staff […] were superb? They were. always at receptoion ever vigilant and at the end of our stay they made arrangements for our trip back with A & S mini cabs who like the hotel was amazing. We were given a quote for the transport and the driver Sam charged that exactly. The mini cab was very clean and well cared for luxury van and the driver Sam was very professional in his driving and his knowledge of London.. How our trip to London could have been better I cannot say. Hence, if you want 5 star servioce for a visit to London try the Garden View for they aim to please in every way! Not a bad place to stay--the room was tiny and the bed quite uncomfortable, but for a short 3-night stay it was fine. Average breakfast, but so close to the underground and lots of restaurants. It was a good fit for our short trip.

I felt part of the Royal Borough whilst I stayed in the Garden View hotel. I stepped outside hand in hand with my beautiful lady & had to catch my breath as it was swiftly taken away by the South-West London breeze. I managed to catch it again before strolling (an easy walk) around the corner to Earl's Court station, my second favourite London Underground […] (tube to the locals) location (My favourite is Maida Vale). After purchasing an oyster card from the very friendly & Asian ticket conductor at the station, I was led down the esculator by my pretty girlfriend to the platform. As a cheap hotel to to put your head down it was clean, quiet, and a helpful staff. You would not spend any time there, the rooms are very small, even unpleasant. The breakfast, dull, no choices. But as a place to stay, its a value, and the location is fine except the area is expensive taking advantage of the high amount of tourists in Earls Court.

The front desk staff was quite nice. The staff at the breakfast arena and the staff cleaning your room has no problem telling you to get out. The shower curtain smelled, it was not even a plastic curtain, but cloth, so clearly it didn't hold the water in, nor did it appear cleaned. It was cute little place, but two of us were quite cramped in the "double" […] room, which really is only a double bed. Heater was on full blast in room, and in stairwells and you cannot turn it down, so we slept with our window open... I probably wouldn't go back. Overall, the Garden View Hotel provides a simple and clean place to stay. We had 3 adults and were able to book a triple room with three triple beds. We were very happy when we arrived at 8 am to just drop off our luggage at the hotel before the official 2 pm check-in time, and were able to check in early and even grab some of the complimentary breakfast. […] The breakfast isn't anything special, but it gets the job done. There is usually toast, coffee, tea, and some cold cereal. The walls are pretty thin, so if you have loud neighbors in the room next you, earplugs will be a necessity. The hotel is located just a few blocks away from the Earls Court tube station, so getting there is very easy. It is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a nice private garden/park. The hotel was conveniently located near the Earl's Court Tube Station, which made it easy to get anywhere fast in London. There were also some very good restaurants within close walking distance. Nando's is a must try! I would stay at this hotel again and would highly recommend it.

Location was wonderful! 2 minute walk from Underground station at Earls Court. 5 minute walk to Tesco supermarket/store that had anything I needed. 5 minute walk to great restaurants (The Pembroke, Earls Court Tavern, Starbucks) and also the famous Troubadour bar/cafe where Dylan, Led Zepp and Hendrix all played in the 60s/70s. On Earls Court street […] 5 minutes the other direction, you have even more! Fast Food, convenience stores, laundry services, clothing shops, pubs/restaurants, etc... Many bus stops nearby too. There are good little places around the hotel for hot food or pastries etc. The size of the rooms is quite small. The shower is a cylinder that fits your body exactly. However, I gave this hotel a fantastic grade because it is exactly what I was looking for when m and my son had a 4 day stop over on the way to a meeting in Eastern Europe.
