The hotel and staff are wonderful and we will definitely stay there on our next visit to Barcelona! The room was very clean and neat and the daily maid service was exceptional. The front desk staff was very professional and courteous. Wi-Fi in the room was excellent. Walking out of the hotel and looking up at the Cathederal every morning was surreal. Beautiful hotel and wonderful location!

The hotel was clean and neat, the staff very helpful, and the bathroom was great. We also found the price fair and reasonable. The view out of the back of the hotel was not the best- apartment back porches and dirty laundry, so keep the curtains closed.

Stayed for a five night family vacation. Our room for three was very nice with a king bed and sofa bed. Efficiency kitchen with dishes and silverware and cookware. Compact refrigerator. Very well located in Eixample neighborhood one block from metro station. Easy walk to many restaurants and the Passieg Gracia or upper part of the Rambla Cataluna. However the BEST was the service of the front desk. Whatever the request they were ceaseless in their efforts to please and accommodate. Information, directions, recommendations for eating and transportation, ticketing. The staff could not do enough for us. This is service that is rare to find in the amenities industry: a true personal touch. My family can heartily recommend the Acacia Suites for a Barcelona vacation. The only negative for some is that it is not located directly on Plaza Cataluna or the Rambla but if you want a quieter neighborhood, with a local feel it is a very nice place.

Occupying the area north of the Old Town, Sant Marti is the modern face of Barcelona. Booked at the last minute and probably paid a little too much, but I could see the Mediterranean from the window. I walked everywhere, which was the plan, and the surrounding neighborhood and proximity to the water were both a plus. Free wifi in the lobby wasn't mentioned - but was discovered. Overall room was clean and comfortable.
"Close to the beach"
The rooms need to be repainted once in a while, but the staff is doing a great job to keep them clean. I wish we had a fan in the bathroom, it was hard to breath after taking a shower, but otherwise I did like this hotel. It was very close to the beach and restaurants. I would stay there again.

"Needs Improvement"
Negative: Air conditioning in room was broken & could not be fixed. No other available rooms in facility. We moved to another hotel. Cheap mattreses. Not close to cruise ship port or airport. Positive: Within sight of Med. Sea. Twenty minute walk to harbor & resturants. Beach even closer.

My wife and i stayed here for 7 nights. We were both very happy with everything. Anything we needed was provided. We loved our space and privacy and also in and out throughout the night. We had no problems what so ever. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
"I would go back again"
Very comfortable and clean, excellent location, good services around (metro, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurant) and, most importantly, very close to the sea. I will certainly go back to the same hotel if one day I go back to Barcelona.

Stort, hyggelig hotell med imponerende malerier/kunst i alle fellesrom! Vi hadde fint rom med utsikt til stranden. Frokosten var ikke inkludert, men for en grei pris var det lettvint å spise i den store spisesalen. Den smakte godt - bortsett fra lunkent tevann :( Serviceinnstilte folk i resepsjonen! Hotellet ligger rett ved den flotte strandpromenaden […] og etter ca 15/20 minutters spasertur, var vi i sentrum. God kommunikasjonsmulighet med Metroen også! Read more

Perfect situated along the beach in a nice and quiet area. Walking distance to nice restaurants as well as the city centre (if you like walking...)
"Rafaelhotels Barcelona - strandnära"
Ett bra hotell som ligger nära stranden (ca 300 m). Buss, affärer och minst tre bra enklare restauranger ligger mindre än fem minuter bort. Mycket bra hotellpersonal som pratar bra engelska och är serviceinriktade. Lite tråkig bar bara och restaurangen på hotellet var inte öppen annat än för frukost när jag var där. Vill man ha ett bra strandnära hotell […] så kan det nog inte bli så mycket bättre. Jag kommer gärna tillbaka. Rekommenderas!! Read more

"Recommended"
Great service, nice clean rooms and good location close to the beach, though its quite far to the city centre. The closest beach is actually much better than the beach near city centre, because its not that crowded. Nice local quarters all around. We took bus 36 back and forth wich has a stop a couple of minutes away. Buy 10 clip buscard to get around, […] about half the price compared to buying the ticket onboard. Read more

Bra hotell som leverer det du forventer og litt til. Kort vei til stranden og t-bane. Mulig å spasere til sentrum, men anbefaler helt klart t-bane. Vi spaserte flere ganger tilbake. Da opplever du sentrale og koselige steder, Barceloneta, stranden, Port Olympic etc. Tar ca. 30 min. Hotellet holder "norsk standard". Kan leie strandhåndkle på hotellet. Hotell Rafael har mycket bra läge men städpersonalen sparade på tvålar och sådant så att jag fick ringa varannan dag om det. Rummets renlighet var också "si och så".

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Die Zimmer sind standardmässig eingerichtet, die allgemeinen Räume des Hotel sind jedoch stilvoll mit Geschmack ausgestattet. Müsli-Liebhaber kommen etwas zu kurz, aber die Früchteauswahl ist wunderbar. Bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen würde ich abraten, da die unmittelbare Strasse sehr laut ist. Hotel liegt ca 2 km außerhalb Stadtzentrum mit Metro Anschluß ca 800 m mit Busanschluß Linie 41 ca 200 m ins Zentrum und gleicher Standort für Touristenbusanschluß optimal. Lage zum Strand / Meer super zum Baden oder für Strandspaziergänge. Für reine City - Besucher eher ungeeignet . Für Kombination Kultur-Innenstadt und Meer/Strand z.B. am Nachmittag […] optimal. Bra läge nära stranden, lätt att ta sig in till centrum. Tråkigt att frukosten inte ingår.
"Prisvärt!"
Jättetrevligt hotell nära stranden med havsutsikt. Prisvärt och en bit från stadskärnan men den når man enkelt med buss 36 på ca 10 min. Camp Nou når man antingen via Buss 7 som går några minuters promenad från hotellet eller via tunnelbanan. Räkna med att bussen tar ca 45 min dit.

Dieses Hotel ist wirklich empfehlenswert wegen der freundlichen Menschen an der Reception, der sauberen und freundlich eingerichteten Zimmer, die allerdings nicht besonders groß, aber groß genug sind, wegen des guten Frühstücks (nur Müsslifreunde finden keine so große Auswahl vor) und wegen der Lage des Hotels ( ca. 5 Gehminuten zum Strand und knapp […] 10 Gehminuten zur Metro "Poblenou". Der Bus fährt fast direkt vor der Tür ab. Also ist das Hotel empfehlenswert, natürlich besonders für die Kombination Strand- und Stadturlaub. Read more

Hotellet ligger en bra bit från "stan" (ca 40 min promenad) men precis vid havet, underbar utsikt. Taxi från stan kostade ca 7 eur. Det finns även tunnelbana i närheten. Frukost kostade 15 eur. Det är en byggarbetsplats precis bredvid så om man vaknar lätt så kanske man ska välja ett annat hotell men det störde inte oss. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam […] personal. Read more
