Angsana Great Barrier Reef - Palm Cove

This is a wonderful hotel and spa, right on the ocean. We had a two story apartment, with the bedroom upstairs, with two bathrooms. This was luxurious and very welcome after many weeks of traveling. Free internet, although it was a trifle slow. Great staff; easy bookings for a day on the Great Barrier Reef. More like a condo than a hotel room. Bedroom, 2 baths, living room, full kitchen, dining table, washer and dryer, TV's in bedroom & living room. Just two of us. This room would be ideal for a family. And a porch overlooking the beach & ocean. We were there in February, which I think is off-season. Hotel maybe 1/3 full. Palm Cove is a quaint, delightful […] little town. Pretty quiet, didn't seem like a party-all-night town. Hotel wait staff very helpful and pleasant. Restaurant was very tasty and filling. Wait staff had good suggestions. Front desk helpful with tours, etc., but not as good a wait staff. Note that this is a tropical location so small "things" with four legs are common and crawling all around. Big things, too. Resting on its laurels would describe Angsana best. Advertised as 5 star, it's nearer 3.5 or 4... And that hurts. Your expectations aren't met and otherwise trivial things irk. True 5 star hotels are slick, whereas this is incompetent... Emails not responded to, rooms tired, assurances by management not followed through. The only thing that we were not a 100% happy with was the room service menu. It was displayed on the inhouse TV only, no paper copy, which we found not user friendly. The screens changed quickly and we were unable to pause so we had to wait for the menu to come around again, very frustrating. The three bedroom suite was a terrific size. Plenty of space for a family. The kitchen was fantastic. Melie appliances throughout and everything youd need to create a meal for a and family. Full fridge, disgwasher, washing machine and dryer. Three pools to choose from. They were a little cold to swim in June. 部屋のロケーションや部屋の広さやインテリアなどは、素敵だったのですが、キッチンの湯沸かしやコヒーサバーなどにはホコリがかぶっており、最悪はキッチンカウンターの上はクモダニがいっぱい。さすがに、これには引いてしまいました。ホテルスタッフに男性が多いので細やかな所まで気が回らないののかもです。また、海外のホテルは浴室のアメニテｨーは期待できないのですが、それにしても、部屋料金に見あったものが用意されていて欲しいのですが、最低限の物しかありませんでした。前泊シタシャングリラとの違いはかなりなものでした。 アンセナのマッサージを受けたくてこのホテルをチョイスしたのですが、マッサージは日本の芦屋バンクンメイの方が数段上手で、お金をかけて受けた価値はありませんでした。 全てに、マイナスのコメントばかりに […] なりましたが、パームコーブという町自体は期待以上の落ち着いた大人のリゾート地で来て良かったと満足しています。宿泊されるこであれば、ペッパーパーズ.ビーチ.グラブandスパがおすすめです。ホテル、レストラン、スパ全てに洗練されていました。素敵なホテルを予約され是非ケアンズとまた違った雰囲気の街に足を伸ばされて下さい。 Read more

ホテルにキッチンがあることは知ってましたが、オーブンやレンジ食洗機もあり朝食や軽食程度で使用するつもりが、カレーライスや生姜焼き等子供達の好物まで作れちゃいました!（米はナベで炊きました）洗濯機や乾燥機もあって家事から放れたいママには微妙かもですが、助かりました。 知らなくて残念だったのは、ＤＶＤプレイヤーもあるので多忙で見れなかった映画なんかを持って行けば良かった。 エステはいつもイッパイで結局できなかった（泣）
