This hotel was in a great area and close to my Austin office. It's minutes away from a lot of dining places as well as right off the freeway so it accessible to anywhere. I know the description said "King Spa" but finding a jacuzzi for two in the room, with a couch and mini kitchen/wet bar was great! The jacuzzi was exactly what we needed after a day on the scooters and getting caught in the cool rain.

Overall, the hotel was fine. Rooms were a bit dated. Staff was friendly. However, parking was horrible. We came back from a wedding at about 11PM and had to park on the far side of the neighboring hotel. Otherwise, no complaints. We needed somewhere to spend one night in South Austin, and this hotel was fine.

We had three grand children. Not nearly enough room for the five of us. The springs on the couch/bed hurt. We put the mattress on the floor and got more bedding to try and make it comfortable. the hotel is right next to the highway, so if you're a light sleeper, you will hear the noise- The indoor pool is tiny and the sleeper sofa mattress is very thin, you can feel the springs- Room size is good for a family of four, but would be nice if there were 2 TVs. Free breakfast is very good.

I was very impressed by the hotel staff and how friendly and helpful they were. I would certainly recommend this hotel in the Auston area. The only posible negative would be the location of the TV on a swivel between the bedroom and living room. Come on Spring Hill get 2 Tvs. Otherwise it was great.

My wife and I stayed here last weekend and liked it. The room was nice; bed comfortable; buffet breakfast good; indoor heated pool very nice. The only bummer was that the outdoor jacuzzi was not on:( But we would (and probably will) stay here again.

Hotel is in "business park" area... right nxt to I-35 - so forget about the after dinner stroll... haha Room was clean, and on far end of bldg - away frm I-State, so we didn't hear any noise. Room layout was somewhat strange. Bathroom area is RIGHT NXT to bed, so if one guest has to get up in the night or get up before the other... due to proximity... […] (noise and lights) - you're BOTH up !! Bed was comfortable. But TV was right between sitting area and bed, which was a weird angle from both. If you rolled stand closer to bed, one of us had to crawl over the other to get out of bed, because the stand blocked the narrow walking path to bathroom... Like I said, ok - but kind of strange... Great hotel, service, breakfast buffet. only flaw is the the tv/tv stand stood between the bedroom and living room. it was in an ackward position which made the room feel cramp, crowded. For the price, i don't think we could do any better. i would recommend if you don't plan to stay long in the room.

The elevators were in very slow and in poor condition and i felt that they were going to stop working on several occasions. Springhill Suites Austin South is a good hotel along a Marriott hotel strip abutting Interstate 35 and the highway to the airport. Because of the strange way Texas develops property on frontage roads alongside interstates, this hotel is not easy to access when driving from the downtown. Room was comfy and long, though a little narrow. Only complaint about the facility was that the elevator smelled like an asphalt road that had just been paved.
