Great small hotel, well...let me take that back: the room is actually a small one room apartment, so is quite big, compared to a regular hotel room. The area is perfect with great restaurants and places to go at a walking distance, very safe too. I wanted a happening place with city noise, it was perfect for me, but if you need a silent place that does not wake the kids up at night don’t go there (I mean the neighborhood or Mexico city for that matters, not the hotel)

Location.
Situated in Mexico City, Hotel Ritz Mexico City is close to Banamex Cultural Palace Museum, Torre Latino, and Zocalo. Also nearby are Plaza de la Constitucion and Metropolitan Cathedral.

"Great location, family vacation"
We are a family with an almost two year old and this hotel was great. Perfect location, very close to the Zocolo and Palacio belles artes, metro, etc. If noise bothers you, request a room by the patio, hotel is very accomodating. Great service from staff!

you don't need to stay in historic center, is dirty, ugly and this hotel belongs to landscape...

I slept well, the internet worked well, the shower was great, and the breakfast was terrific. I'll stay there again.
"Hotel Ritz in Mexico City"
The hotel was clean and the staff very freindly. The rooms were a bit small but this was about location. We were 2 blocks from Bellas Artes, 2 blocks from Metro and 4 blocks from Zocalo. The street is closed up all the way from Bellas Artes to Zocalo for pedestrians so this location was extremely convenient. There were plenty of clean full service restaurants […] within two blocks either way. Next door was a VIPs which is similar to Dennys. The rates on Hotels.com saved us 50% off their regular rates. Don't forget to take your reservation # because Hotels.com does not send confirmation. We had to go on Hotels.com upon arrival to pull the reservation for the price and reservation to be honored. "Good Hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ritz. The staff was great, the room was clean, and the location is convenient.

The staff was very friendly, met me at the door, took me up to my room, and asked me if I would like a better room. I said yes and I was given a suite! The breakfast buffet is great quality, a little pricey, but worth it. They have safety deposit boxes you can use for free. Just ask at the front desk. There is no A/C, but they have a stand fan that […] you can plug into the wall and point in your direction. Because I had to leave the window open to let in the cool air, it also let in light. Finally, the tiling in the bathroom and the molding looked out of style. The safety and service are great. For example, they called us a "taxi" and booked a tour for us, but I wouldn't recommend the tour company...The hotel staff were always willing to help. They don't speak English the best, but you can get by. There are two computers in the lobby with internet access, and free wi-fi. If you want to stay near the zocalo/Cathedral, this is a great place. Zufriedenstellendes Hotel im Stadtzentrum, von wo aus einige Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß zu erreichen sind. Freitagnachts meist sehr laut in der Umgebung (Discos).

"Lentitud en la reservación"
Al registrarme en el hotel, la segunda ocasión de mi estadía, siendo las 3:30 p.m. lo primero que me indicaron es que ellos no garatizaban mi habitación después de las 3:00 p.m. si yo no me presentaba a esta hora. Pareciera ser que su personal no está bien inducido, pues como viajero frecuente mis vuelos pueden llegar incluso de madrugada, que si reservo, […] es porque necesito el hotel, aunque sean horas de muy noche. La unica area de oportunidad que le encontre al hotel es que no tienen climatizadas las habitaciones, solo tienen un ventilador de pedestal que no ayuda mucho con el calor que estaba haciendo. de ahi en mas toda la atencion fue increible.

Es muy familiar y tranquilo, se encuentra en una calle peatonal muy segura, con muchos cafés, restaurantes y tiendas cercanas, también cercano a pie de muchas zonas de interés turístico en el DF. El personal es muy atento. La habitación que nos dieron era muy ruidosa. varios motores del restaurante de abajo funcionaban casi a toda hora y no nos cambiaron […] de habitación aunque lo solicitamos.Todos los días eres levantado como a las 8:00 am, por su servicio de verificación de ocupación de las habitaciones y si no pusiste la cadena hasta se meten a tu recámara. "Hotel Ritz, Mexico : Tout est pres, meme le bruit"
Excellente localisation en plein centre historique avec le metro pas loin. Globalement bien, MAIS internet ne marchait pas, et il faut s'attendre a endurer les nuits bruyantes de Mexico car l'insonorisation est TRES mauvaise. On a notamment passe une nuit avec des marteaux piqueurs en bas de l'hotel.
