The worst hotel of our trip. Most of the windows in the hotel were clouded with moisture between the glass, the furniture was threadbare and junky. We didn't feel comfortable in this hotel and couldn't wait to leave.

"non-smoking = smoke smell"
Non-smoking room smelled of smoke right when opened the door compared to hallway. Was unable to process the hotels.com reservation so took time to figure out how to override it. The couch had multiple rips in it and there was a stain on the side of the mattress. Did not check out the pool. Most of the workers were very kind.

"Unappealing!"
Hotel generally smelled stale. Hallways really bad, stairwells worse. No elevator. Room was ok. Parking was really tight. Breakfast was not up to par with other quality inns we have stayed at. Staff was ....... What staff? No one around during breakfast to clean tables, answer questions, refill items. Won't stay there again unless new management.

"poor experience"
When we first got there we had trouble checking and then was told are card declined and then come to find out we were charged 3 times and we paid when we booked the room. I will not be coming back to this hotel again. I really enjoyed this hotel till this happened.

Was visiting my daughter at UK. Apparently, it was a super busy weekend and we didn't make reservations enough in advance of the trip. Couldn't find a hotel within 25 miles of UK Lexington. Was happy to find this one with an availabilty and not too outrageous per night. It wasn't too terrible of a drive considering all the circumstances and the hotel room was very nice, clean and the ammenities were good too.

"Clean, pet friendly hotel reasonably priced."
Room prices significantly less then neighboring properties, room was very clean and well appointed (refrigerator, sofa-bed with queen bed, etc.), pet deposit of $20 per animal also reasonable, hostess discounted our two dogs to $30 for both -- nice touch. Hotel minimally staffed -- you may need to wait a few minutes if you need assistance for some reason, but never longer than a few minutes and staff was very pleasant. Free breakfast only disappointment, little more than coffee and juice, with some yogurt and biscuits, though the coffee was fine and plentiful. This low of a price point for a pet friendly hotel that is very clean still makes the property very desirable, we intend to stay there again, just plan on eating breakfast elsewhere. Convenient to I-64.

"Horrible stay and filthy place."
The non smoking rooms smelled awful. The room wasn't clean, needed to be updated. When I told the staff, front desk person all she said was ok and walked away. Absolutely I'll never stay at a quality inn again.

"Good value"
The desk people were excellent - friendly, informative, helpful. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The breakfast was more than I expected. Lots of choice. It was a little difficult to find at first because it was tucked away behind a more prominent building but once I put it ion GPS it was fine.

"DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL"
Hotel was horrible. I was charged twice, once by hotels.com and then choice put a hold on my credit card for the whole amount for 6 days not just $5.00 like other places do. The carpet was nasty, the room smelt like smoke. Over all it was just a dirty hotel. when I tried calling the hotel after leaving, the phone would ring and ring for hours. I would get someone who would tell me they would fix it, but never did.

"NASTY!!!!!"
This is the NASTIEST hotel I have ever stayed in!!! The lobby, hallways and stairways looked like they hadn't been swept, mopped or vacuumed in over a week! The room itself wasn't as bad although we did find a half drank bottle of Pepsi under the edge of the bed so they couldn't have vacuumed very well at all. I kept my shoes on the entire time I was there! Also, we requested a first floor room more than a week ahead of our stay because smoking rooms are available on the second floor; and we were still given a second floor room!!! The second floor REEKS of cigarette odor!!! I would have requested a refund but considering Garth Brooks and UK basketball were in town, there were no rooms available anywhere so we toughed it out.

"Poorly cleaned beds"
The cleaning crew did a very poor job on cleaning our beds. We had to go out and purchase our own sheets and covers. We laid ours over the tops of theirs to insure we were not sleeping in filth.

"Great room but..."
Great room except for the adjoining door was very thin. We could hear our neighbor yell at his kids all evening and in the mornings. They also had a large dog in the room that barked at every sound it heard.

We had a smokeless room but the hallway smelled like smoke and our clothes as well after we stayed in our hotel room. The breakfast was good. The hotel room s carpet was filthy. My kids feet were black after walking barefoot.

"One of the worst hotels"
To start the minute we walked into the room it stunk. The toilet seat was totally stained and dis-colored it was gross. The refrigerator door seal was dirty. The carpet smelled was ripped & stained. The furniture was old and the wood warned out. This hotel was gross and I don't recommend to stay here not one night!!! the whole hotel smelled like cigarettes. was in a non smoking room that smelled like cigarettes, plus when walking out front door the desk clerk was smoking a cigarette and picking her feet on front bench.

"Good sized room"
Stayed overnight on the way home from vacation. Location is not all that close to stores or restaurants. Room was large and comfortable even with two portable cribs set up. Staff seemed more interested in sitting outside and smoking rather than attending the front desk. Room and building were clean and comfortable. Great stay as long as you don't need anything from the staff.

"Near our travel plans"
The stay at this motel was wonderful! The staff was very friendly and if a problem occurred they were quick to fix it. The pool was nice==a little cold at times but they adjusted the water temp. Will plan on staying there again next year when travel to Kentucky. Continental breakfast was excellent!

The overall experience was which matched the price . Hotel had a strong odor of cigarettes and the ac in room 225 sounded like birds chirping so we had to turn it off. Not a bad hotel, just average.

"Bit of work needed"
Our room was spacious and presented a value. There were some maintenance issues, lock on bathroom door was very loose and could have fallen off, one light fixture needed a bulb and the other didn't work. The staff was less than friendly and when ask for extra needing it seemed to be an inconvenience.

"Very nice and newly remodeled room."
We were very impressed with the room. It was a suite and had a queen bed, fold out couch, large screen t.v. Very large bathroom with seperate sink and mirror in the other room. All had been freshly remodeled and very clean. Very nice. I would stay here again. The breakfast was good, lots of food with variety, even though I got down there at quarter to 10am and it closed at 10am. My husband said that the pool was kind of small, but I didn't see it or use it, so I can't really rate it. The staff was friendly and helpful.

"Nice Hotel, Close to Red River Gorge and Lexington"
We stayed two nights to see the Red River Gorge area. Only problem was the room was reserved by credit card. At check in, was told the card was declined as was my bank debit card and another credit card. Not sure if the clerk knew what she was doing, was not pleasant to wonder how to pay for things during the weekend. Checked with the bank, no problem with cards and used them at other places that weekend, no problem. BUT, the room was really nice, breakfast was good, no complaints with the stay itself.

"Comfortable Room"
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel mixes smoking and non-smoking rooms together, and the hall way reeked of smoke. The smoke smell seeped under the door to the room, causing us to put a towel under the door to block the smell.

"Convenient for sight seeing in Ky."
Enjoyed my stay--everyone was very friendly and helpful. Really liked the 3-11 manager Tim!! Made us feel right at home. Have stayed at this motel almost every time in Ky. The one time I didn't I wished I had!! Will be happy to stay there again!!

The air freshener was too strong. Sink was clean. Carpet in the room - picked up dust bunnies on my socks. Bed was good. Had ajoining room door with big gap at bottom allowing neighbors loud phone conversations to come through.

"Room review."
The room stated two queen suite with sofa bed. The sofa bed was broken and was for some time. The staff seemed that they were not surprised by that the sofa bed was broken. The bathroom door did not latch and all could hear all that you did in the room. The carpet was severely worn down and holed. And we were all afraid to walk in the room with barefoot! Will not stay there again.

To be fair, it looks like they are trying to get this hotel in shape, but they have a ways to go. The room was clean but had a few maintenance issues. The hallways smelled of smoke and had damaged carpets. No elevator to second floor, but a reasonable $25 pet fee (some chains charge much more). It was quiet, so I appreciated that. Good for an overnight between driving days, but I wouldn't stay here for a vacation or longer trip.
