I enjoy going into Chicago every so often just for a weekend get-a-way, and I was very pleased with everything this hotel had to offer during my last trip there. The shuttle service running every hour was extremely convenient, and with the train station being just right around the corner, it made getting to and from the hotel so easy. Lastly, I didn't even have to leave the hotel when I checked in to find a place to eat because Outback Steakhouse is literally attached to the hotel! I enjoyed the extra space of the suite. A kingsize bed was also great. The breakfast, while not great was filling and had many options. The Outback Steakhouse on site was also convenient. Did not use the pool as it was crowded with families. The only down side was a flashing light on the fire alarm above the bed. There were also various level of water […] pressure during the showers. We had a nice stay at the Spring Hill suites for a recent funeral. The room was clean and nice. The bathroom was a bit small and dated. One evening I called the front desk to ask if milk was available for purchase. Within minutes one of the front desk people showed up at our room with a delivery. Outstanding service!!! Overall we had a great stay.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights during a combination business-personal travel trip during Easter weekend. I found the accommodations very adequate, clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was fine, and I had a nice dinner at the Outback Steakhouse adjoining the property through the main hotel lobby. Although difficult to get into the underground parking it was a very nice feature to have and didn't cost anything extra. I have stayed at the other hotels on River Road before and will not go back to them, but will instead come here for future trips!

Arrived about 7 pm, adequate free parking was available. Courteous desk person, clean spacious room. Bfast the next morning was crowded but managed well by attendants. Our suite met our needs perfectly with small sink, fridge, microwave, and disposable utensils. Free underground parking could be a huge plus in a Chicago winter. Food from Outback was of the expected quality. Not a lovely area, but freeway access was quick and simple. Nice room - only complaint would be that, while there was a microwave and frig and wet bar - there were no dishes or silverware to be found as there usually are in Springhill Suites. Wonderfully friendly people working there. We enjoyed our stay.

If you're looking for a nice hotel away from the bustle of the city I would definitely recommend this hotel. My only complaint would be that the beds are very firm, however the pillows were very comfy and made up for the firmness of the mattress. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here recently for 2 nights. The room was large, very clean and in good condition. The breakfast had hot and cold items was had a large variety of items. For people flying out of O'Hare, there was a dedicated computer/printer to check in and print boarding passes. There is also an Outback Steakhouse attached to the hotel. There was a regularly […] scheduled shuttle to/from O'Hare. Our intention was to take the shuttle to O'Hare and get on the Blue Line to go sight seeing in downtown Chicago. The shuttle driver instead dropped us off at the Cumberland El station which was much more convenient than going to the airport. He gave us the hotel's phone number to call when we returned. When we returned that evening to the Cumberland station we called and a shuttle was there in less than 5 minutes. Excellent! Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Hotel is alongside the Interstate and CTA train route, plus plane flight path into ORD. The night before I stayed at a nearby Comfort Inn for HALF the price and that room was more quiet but had all the same amenities like free wireless, free extensive breakfast.

Everything about the hotel itself was on point during our stay. I rated location a "3," but that depends on what you are doing. There is a CTA station (Cumberland on the blue line train) literally around the corner from the hotel. If you are going into town, headed for the Loop downtown for example, it's at least 15 stops and 30-35 minutes to get into […] town, and the same thing coming back. This is the second time we have stayed here in the past 6 months. The first trip was in January for 1st snow fall of the winter and then in July for the hottest days on record in Chicago. I would come here again if I returned to Chicago.
