"5th Trip to this hotel, staff fantastic"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
This hotel continues to be my favorite place to stay while working in Singapore. The staff continues to give above and beyond customer service, and the hotel appears to be making improvements and upgrades which it needs to do. Will head back for another trip in a few weeks to this hotel.
"Great Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
The hotel is in a perfect location. It has nice rooms although the room that I was in, the air conditioning was not working properly. The pillows also need changing. Otherwise the hotel was great.
"Couldn't Be Better"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 24, 2013
I will definitely come back and stay here the next time i'm in Singapore. It's a super convenient location and b/c its a boutique, it doesn't feel stuffy. Love the free wifi, breakfast, and minibar. Everything was excellent.
"1day Layover"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013

Flanked by the Singapore River, the financial district is defined by modern skyscrapers, historical bridges, and Colonial-style buildings. Raffles Place is the center of the commercial hub and a relaxing spot to sip coffee, people-watch, and do a bit of shopping. More shops and local food can be found at Lau Pa Sat, a 150-year-old Victorian cast-iron building.

"One of the Best"
As always this hotel shows it's 5 star rating. One of the only issues is the comfort of the bed. The Westin's The Heavenly Bed and The Marriott Bed are considerably more comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic location"
Courtyard rooms are very dated & jaded. Mouldy smell in bedding. Bathroom was spacious and very comfortable. Room itself was small and ok. The hotel is 5 star but the courtyard rooms are 3 1/2 star only. We had a good stay nonetheless and you couldnt fault the location. Best positioned hotel in all Singapore for leisure visitors. We would stay again […] based on location but would try to go for a higher room standard, though I dont know theyre any better. Staff was great at every turn, checkin, lobby, breakfast and concierge. "A classic hotel in a great location"
The Fullerton is an appealing alternative to steel and glass modern 5 stars. Its classic colonial architecture and proximity to Singapore's scenic historic attractions makes it a great spot for exploring the city's attractions. Unfortunately, a number of small flaws marred our visit. Reception had misread our Expedia booking and initially wanted to […] put us in a standard room instead of the one we had booked (they quickly fixed the problem). Service in the atrium coffee area was friendly, but somewhat slow and confused - it took several requests to get our order delivered and again to get our bill. We also found that the milk supplied in the room fridge for morning coffee had gone bad. These are relatively minor issues. But we expect close to impeccable performance from a 5-star hotel and the Fullerton didn't reach that level on this visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Just a great hotel!"
Just a great hotel! I would stay there when I come back to Singapore again next year.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would stay here again"
For the price you pay, you expect a lot. The Fullerton delivers. Enjoy your time here...just remember that the buffet breakfast/lunch is equally value priced.Genuine Expedia guest review

"an unforgettable experience"
A very accurate and quality service. We got the straits club option and there are plenty of benefits included: very good rooms with view on the superb marina bay, afternoon tea and complimentary aperitive at the straits lounge!! "Historical gem"
The hotel is a gem. Converted from an old postal office building, Fullerton Hotel has character and history you can't get from a newer casino hotel. Glad we chose Fullerton over Marina Bay Sands, which had too many people and casinos that we wanted to avoid for our young kids. Be prepared to take a cab though for shopping or eating since Fullerton is […] not beside any shops and interesting restaurants. Across the adjacent bridge is a museum and the hotel is surrounded by offices and government buildings. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Singapore's Best Hotel!"
We were very impressed with the hotel and all the staff! We were celebrating our 1st Anniversary and the Fullerton Staff sent a bottle of fine wine and choclates to our room the day of our anniversary. Staff was very polite and went above and beyond to make the experience of staying there amazing. Food was amazing, we suggest upgrading to the Executive […] Package; complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea with light snacks and cocktail hour with canapes and desserts. Amazing! If we ever return to Singapore, we will be staying at the Fullerton Hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location in Singapore"
The Fullerton Hotel is in a great location to see historical Singapore and is in walking distance to many good restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Expected More"
The room service food was sub par for a hotel in this category. The concierge was unaware of things to do around town and he was unwilling to dig deeper. During checkout, it took a very long time for the porter to pick up bags (almost 45 mins). Minibar was not consistently refilled. Trash that built up in the room wasn't completely disposed of by housekeeping. Sound […] travels easily from the lobby area up the hotel, so if you have an internal room (which we did), expect a slightly noisy experience up until maybe 12 midnight or so. "Best hotels in Singapore: Fullerton and Raffles"
I now understand beyond a doubt why this is regarded as one of the two most famous and also most luxurious hotels in Singapore. Pros: Nothing less of a 5-star experience. First-rate concierge. Friendly staff, beautiful, classy, and elegant hotel. It's a block away from MRT station entrance. Across the bridge is the Asian heritage museum. 1 Fullerton […] (i.e. where the Merlion is) is across the street. All the large banks are across the street as well (great for currency exchange on the go). Perfect view of the Marina Bay. Within walking distance to the Esplanade/Promenade and the Singapore Theatre. It really is the best hotel location in Singapore! Just the right amount of crowd. It's the most perfect overall hotel experience that I've had in Singapore. Hotel bar serves great Singaporean Sling (expensive though, expect to pay around 20 SD. Cons: Seriously, can't think of any. Yes, it's that good! A stretch would be to say that it could host better restaurants and shops, but they are already great in their own right. Many people compare Fullerton to Raffles, and to me personally, I'll stay at the Fullerton over Raffles any day. Reason is its location, its more up-scale and elegant structure, and overall experience of the stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Glad to hear again, "Welcome back to the hotel""
My previous stay in the hotel was about 4 years ago, but I was impressed by the words when I checked-in, "Welcome back to the hotel, Mr...." The room I stayed smelled a little musty..., but not to the level a normal guest complains...Genuine Expedia guest review

"Lovely Surroundings"
We have been to Singapore countless times yet never grew tired of it. FUllerton is located right in the financial centre yet it is beautifully surrounded with rich history sites like the MErlion, ASian Civilisation Museum, Victoria theater and across the river you see the new singapore. "Good but expected much more"
Room was not ready at check-in, I had just come off a long plane trip and wanted to rest. When I got into my room at approx 2.30 had to wait (and call concierge) for my bag to be brought to the room so I could shower. I had booked a twin room with quay views so I could view the laser show at the Marina Bay Sands. The beds were not two king single beds […] as comparable hotels do - but small single beds, I stayed in room 611 and this has the large Singaporean flag directly in front of the window/balcony which meant I could not see the light show - apart from when there was a drop in the wind. It was obvious there had previously been a leaking shower and the timber around the bathroom/toilet had rot. Staff were friendly and helpful but overall a disappointing stay - especially considering the price and recommendations. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Singapores Best Hotel"
The Fullerton is without doubt the most wonderful hotel we have stayed at! Would be thrilled to go back!Genuine Expedia guest review
"My favourite hotel"
The Fullerton is divine. I love having breakfast on the terrace outside, and it is an excellent breakfast. We chill by the pool, we drink in the Post Bar, we eat and drink dinner on the riverside terrace. Every trip leaves me relaxed and restored. Thank you!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We will be back."
Usually stay at the fairmont but couldn't get a good price around new year so tried the fairmont instead. Glad we did and expect to go back! Really lovely hotel with great service.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic hotel"
This is a fabulous hotel. It is upscale but still has a very comfortable feel to it. Staff can't do enough for you. The restaurants were great. Location is wonderful. This is the only hotel we will stay in when we go to Singapore.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lack of view"
The room faced onto the courtyard which meant that there was borrowed light rather than direct natural light into the room. For the price, this was disappointing, considering the view I could have had for the same money at some other hotels. The service was fantastic.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Cheap rate but cheap room"
Great hotel but rooms on some levels can be quirky. Stayed in 531 and has stairs from bathroom down to bedroom and quite small windows. I would definitely steer away from this room type. Got the feeling that they put the discounted rate bookings in the worst rooms? The hotel itself can't be faulted for service and facilities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a pleasant experience"
I always think that experiences can be unique to the individual traveller and I hope that our very disappointing experience is just this but honestly we are big travellers, my partner travels weekly around the world and never have we had such an awful experience as we did staying at the Fullerton. I will not go into the the specifics as I just have […] not enough characters in this box but our general thoughts are that this hotel lacks in service quality. There is an urgent need for service quality training, the front desk are frantic and unable to deal with customers needs and the concierge are unable to carry out assistance in bookings that you may as well do it yourself. The general maintenance, this is an old building and needs constant attention to the general up keep - Fullerton, please look after your building, it is beautiful and needs love, care and attention please ensure that you look to do this. We will definitely not be staying at this hotel again - I wished we had gone with Raffles or the Mandarin Oriental like we were initially thinking. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great service at Fullerton"
Fantastic hotel staff and we were lucky to get the Hotel Duty Manager called Justin who checked us in as all other staff were busy. He was outstanding in terms of helpfulness and service and was able to suggest and book restaurants. "Most definitely 5 stars !!"
The Fullerton SIngapore experience was a special one for us due to the outstanding service and accommodation provided throughout the stay. The service was faultless and the room very well appointed. Clean rooms, beautiful hot shower and every conceivable need was met with prompt attention and an accompanying smile. Fortunate to have had a view of Marina […] Bay which we considered a delightful bonus. Well done The Fullerton, we would be very happy to return in the future. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
