Great hotel. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite upon arrival, which was excellent. It was huge! The staff were extremely nice. The hotel is located at a convenient location. The room is clean and comfortable. The front desk people are friendly. We stayed on Residenz side for three nights, we felt our room was the home away from home.. We did not take the breakfast offer, there are plenty places where you can have your stomach be taken care of.

The location was good with easy access to a number of sites althought the street itself was a bit desolate at night. The hotel staff were terrific--very, very helpful with suggestions and directions. The hotel is very clean. I like the location because it is not too near all the touristy places, which keeps down the noise. The staff was friendly and helpful. The internet costs 9 euros for twenty-four hours, but it was so slow that I could not even watch youtube videos online. No restaurant.

This was a really great deal. Very centrally located to many tourist attractions, historical locations, and restaurants. Also, walking distance to Berlin's metro system. Only con is that there is no free Wi-Fi offered in the hotel, not even in the lobby.

Great location to subway, and a quick walk to many sites. The only complaint I had was the lack of towels. We booked a suite because we were traveling with our teenaged son, and it was ideally configured for our situation. The rooms were comfortable and much more affordable than suites or junior suites at other hotels. Breakfast, which was excellent, was included in the rate as was internet (though the router struggled to reach us on the seventh floor and […] we had to rejoin to the lobby in the evening to catch up on emails). The hotel is very convenient to sights like Checkpoint Charlie and the Topography of Terrors but a long walk to Museum Island. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, but other than a good French restaurant on the street there is not much else to offer in terms of food or drink in the immediate vicinity. Overall, a nice boutique hotel that I'm comfortable recommending, especially if you're looking for an affordable and comfortable suite. Read more

There are convenient connections to two subway lines a block-and-a-half away, so you can get pretty much anywhere you need to go. Very large room, very clean, conveniently located. Close to subway station, about 200m. Close to several attractions. Only draw back was cost, too high for a four star hotel. Felt like paying a five star hotel. May be because of yearly Berlin marathon, which attracted thousands of people downtown.

We had a one bedroom apartment with an upstairs. Lovely and large. The only drawback was that we could not get a key to access the upstairs which was on the 6th floor. We had to enter thru the living room on the 5th floor. This was inconvenient since we either had to drag luggage up a flight of stairs, or someone had to go in the 5th floor and go up […] the i stairs to the 6th floor and open the door from the inside and then have someone take the luggage to the 6th floor and take the luggage in while you held the door open. Booked the hop on hop off sight seeing bus through the hotel which was well worth the money, (we usually use these in city breaks finding them very informative and highlighting the sights we would like to visit) after using this service found that all the historical […] sights were well within walking distance.
