EMERAUDE HOTEL D ESPAGNE - Paris

This hotel was the final hotel of our European trip and it was the worst of them all. It was fairly clean but our room out-looked a closed in very small courtyard that reeked of cigarette smoke and sewage. Upon check-in I asked if the breakfast was included since there was no indication on my reservation or anywhere in the hotel - she said yes. My wife […] and I ate breakfast every day and upon checkout we were charged for breakfast. Upon arguing, the manager removed the breakfast charges. The only reason we ate was because we thought it was free and included otherwise I don't see how anyone would pay for it because the food was horrid. Read more

I found the hotel and location great - buzzy area full of bars and restaurants, ok maybe not perfect for everybody, but perfect for our stay. Lovely little bar over the road, all in all a great choice. Only bad point, I didn't even try it, but breakfast seems pretty steep - there's a Carrefour over the road you can buy breakfast ingredients there much […] cheaper, and an espresso from nearby cafes. Nice little hotel, nothing special in terms of aethetics, but with very friendly staff, a lift, free internet access and being a 1 min walk from the bustling Grand Boulevards and very close if you want to walk to the 'must see' sights of Paris, or if you prefer the metro - which is just outside. Great Stay - would def recommend.

Emeraude Hotel D'Espagne is tucked away in a discrete cité mews off the Grands Boulevards. The reception was excellent and timely and we were soon in our very clean room that appeared to have been recently decorated. In common with most non-chain French hotels the room was very small with minimal room around the bed. The en-suite however was very good. The […] other disappointing aspect was that the window opened out into a central, lightless shaft. The hotel was excellent value for money, very well situated and with excellent service. Hôtel très bien situé. A proximité des grands boulevards et de scènes de théâtre. Die Leute am Empfang sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, mein Zimmer war sauber, die Lage ist gut, in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße aber nahe der Grands Boulevards. Allerdings war das Badezimmer winzig und sehr spartanisch, wie die ganze Ausstattung des Hotels. Das erlebt man in Paris zwar häufiger, ist aber mittlerweile auch keine Entschuldigung mehr. Jättetrevlig personal som var väldigt hjälpsam. Betalning sker vid utcheckning. Precis nedanför hotellet ligger en kbarterskrog som blev rätt högljudd på kvällarna, så ta med öronproppar!

Hotel Muito bom, localização excelente. Supermercado , vários restaurantes , mêtro, hard rock cafe tudo muito perto. Todos muito cordiais. Quarto de bom tamanho. Único porém é que não tem ar-condicionado. Como fui no começo da primavera não fez nenhuma falta mas eh bom pensar um pouco num verão mais quente.

The only thing that spoiled the impression this is something that is not able to pay by credit card, bank transfer money, and why the hotel does not accept Visa Classic of our bank. C'est une chambre (la 005) qui est tout juste a coté de la cantine. Hyper bruyant des tot le matin , c'est fou qu'on ait fait de cet endroit une chambre. I recommend you to absolutely avoid the room 005, it is excessively noisy as it stands juste close to the breakfast room.
