out of value="5""Great Location; Small Room"
Reviewed by Eirleen of New Orleans on Sep 2, 2009
The location was fantastic. It was right across from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, and the Castle where Princess Diana and Prince Charles lived was less than 5 minutes away. It had a plethora of shops (mostly ethnic) and affordable restaurants in the area, and about 2 blocks away there was a modern, fancy mall. On the other hand, the rooms were small and there was not much room to move around. This, however, is typical for the older cities where you are in the center, or close to the center, of the city. It also had excellent transportation available.

Hilton Hyde Park was the perfect location to see London. You cannot be closer to the tube, it is part of the same building as the hotel, and has a elevator to take you down to the trains. Hyde Park is just across the street, a nice pub and bus stop are 1/2 a block away. The room was large with lots of light from the two windows.

this hotel had mixed reviews so we were not quite sure what to expect, fromt he moment we got to the hotel we were greeted by extremely friendly staff, the woman at the reception was more than helpful even asking us our room preference,if we wanted a room with a view which we got. the hotel room was really nic, small enough but had everything we needed, spotless bathroom, nice tv,good wardrobe space, hairdryer, iron etc, overall really happy with our stay, even on leaving staff were helpful and held our bags for the day while we went shopping. The location of this hotel is amazing,10-15 min walk to oxford street and you can walk through hyde park which is a lovely walk, tube station right next door, and queensway street with alot of different restaurants to choose from, would definitelty recommened this hotel.

We had a cheap deal but after walking around London all day were exhausted when we finally got to the hotel only to find that although we had paid and they had our name we had to give them some kind of voucher. If not they wanted me to send them my email confirming our booking and said we could pay them £3 to use the hotel internet to do this. Not impressed. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was good but I would not go back.

If you want affordability, location and quality, you may as well go to a Premier Travel Inn. The Hilton was better than most three stars, but as it was a four star it failed to meet the standard of a good four star hotel. Location wise it was great, but price wise it was not. I would recommend the Apex at Tower Hill if your in Central or East London, or just a Premier Travel Inn if you want to stay in a hotel that is a good and affordable. The rooms were small, and although nicely decorated not quite what i was expecting for the price that room was.

We selected this hotel because it advertised air conditioning. The first night, an alarm went off at 3:00AM. I phoned for a repairman, we dressed for evacuation. He turned off the alarm, assured us we had nothing to worry about, and in the process, turned off the air conditioning. The following day, the air conditioning was sporadic, sometimes working, sometimes not working. The room was so small that I could not pull the chair out from the desk far enough to sit in it without bumping in to the bed. Far overpriced for a very poor experience.

Ganske små, men komfortable rom. God seng, mange tv-kanaler og fint bad. Prisen var ikke verst, men de prøvde tydeligvis å ta det igjen på andre fronter. Frokosten kostet 20 pund, og internett 15 pund per døgn.

This hotel was exactly what you expect from the Hilton brand. It was clean, crisp and quiet with a courteous and helpful staff. We were given a room facing the park and it was very quiet though it was right on the street. The bed was very comfortable, my wife wanted to steal the pillows (but didn't). The bar was perfect for a late-night drink after a show. The bathroom was clean and had wonderful soaps and such. We stayed for two nights and will be back.
