Suburban setting can be ideal if you would like a quiet place to stay but far from the city and sights if that's what you are looking for. Breakfast was not much but no complaints. I just used the kitchen and convenient grocery store across the street.

I have never written a review before, yet this stay warrants one. I booked multiple rooms for a sports team event. One room was still dirty and not cleaned from the previous guest. The other rooms did NOT have sheets on the bed. When I requested sheets and towels, the front desk said they were busy and did not have any. It was simply unbelievable. She […] implied that sheets were not guaranteed. Never in a million years would I have ever expected that comment. I actually booked this hotel thinking it was the hotel next door - Residence Inn, which I highly recommend. This hotel was overpriced for what it had to offer. Nice to have the small kitchen but there were bare minimum utensils and no wine glasses - boo! The bed looked old, the comforter was stained and old looking and the pillows smelled like old bed […] head. Bed was uncomfortable but the room was well ventilated. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone who likes fresh comfy beds with big fluffy pillows... that would be me. Weirdest part was when I asked for extra towels (we were playing a hockey tournament near by) I was told to bring my dirty ones down to get fresh - huh? I'm actually paying to stay here guys! I was disappointed as I had to extend my stay by a night and did so with 24 hours prior notice. When I came back to the hotel the next evening they had checked me out and couldn't find the reservation for the extended evening. Our stay was good. We checked in with 2 kids and in the room there were no pillows or blankets for the hide a bed. We assumed there would be...called the front desk and they gave me one pillow ad one blanked. It was all they had!?!?!? That was fine, we traveled with extras. Kitchenette was awesome fully stocked with what you need, just bring your own […] food. Pool was great as well as a wonderful continental breakfast: granola bars, good muffins fruit and beverages. I was hauling some stuff out of our room out the side entrance, and a dog(i hope) had peed a huge puddle right in front of the inside of the tiled floor, eewww! Told the front desk and when we left 2 hours later it was not only still there but had been tracked by all unsuspecting victims through the hallway to the carpet. Service, meh...room, great! wow where to begin... this is where I stay everytme i go to south San Jose. Whe you get to the room it always reminds me of a small apartment. As a matter of fact its bigger than some of the apartments I have been to. The staff is always friendly and the place is quiet. You really don't hear the other peeple in the hotel... Understand that I am not overly picky and have stayed in all sorts of places all around the world. Unfortunately, when it came to needing a reasonable place to stay while work was being done on my house I chose this Extended Stay - it is a mistake I will not repeat. - The 3rd floor hallway has an unpleasant odor that made me nauseous every time I passed […] through - and had the same tissues lying on the floor on Friday that were there on Wednesday. - There were huge nasty stains all down the side of the box spring. - Hot water worked only one morning. - The microwave dish didn't turn. - The whole place had the feel of dinginess and decline - every wall could use a touch of paint, every floor throughout had seen far better days. - Although there is "free" wifi to get good throughput you have to pay an extra $3 per day. - On arrival I stood rather too patiently while the desk clerk wrote on a pad. I thought he might have something important he was doing. When he finally stood up and greeted me I saw that he had been doodling the whole time. I would have likely had a cleaner room and a better experience (albiet without sink and refrigerator) at Motel 6. I will never return to this chain in any location. Read more

This hotel advertises a s recently renovated. I came into my room to one face towel, no lotion conditioner or hangers. Every drawer was open and I had to shut every door. The bed was an extremely old mattress with a deteriorated foam topper. The fridge began making a horrendous sound the second night so I had to unplug for the remaining three nights. […] The wall thermostat was not functional and the windows did not operate correctly. Room service never came to replace my one face rag not to mention the debris in the hallways. The same soiled towel sat up against the laundry door for all five days. The gourmands breakfast bar consisted of bruised apples, one pot of coffee and some bagels. The staff had to be reminded to make sure the items were stocked. I asked for a refill on cream cheese and as she loaded the basket, she did not bother to clean up any of the mess on the counters as well as the floor. The elevators were completely trashed with debris and needed a good cleaning. The front entry was completely littered with cigarette butts. Next time I will stay at the Marriott Residence next door. I will say when the gal asked if everything was okay, I pondered the chance to let her know but the overall condition leads me to believe the problem is at the management level. I arrived late, late, after the front desk was closed. No entry into the hotel, but dialed the after-hours number on the phone as requested. No answer. Dialed again, no answer. Decided to try the Extended Stay (not Deluxe) hotel next door, and the after-hours number worked there, thank god. He provided entry into my hotel. Room was fine, except windows […] were a little broken and didn't close completely. I don't mind it cool at night, so no problem. Bathroom tiles were loose, so crunched everytime you walked over them, but no real biggie. All in all, okay. Not great, not bad. We reserved our 2 rooms i month in advance. Hotels.com called the hotel to make sure we had two ADA rooms with ADA toilet and ADA bars in shower/tub. This was confirmed by Hotels.com with the Extended Stay Edenvale and written on the receipt. When we check in, our 2 rooms did not have any ADA bars nor was the toilet chair high. I asked the front desk […] for a stool to put in the tub so my wife could sit down while taking a shower, the hotel had no stools to offer us. The hotel had only 1 ADA room they could put us in, this was on the 3rd floor. BUT STILL NO stool. So it made no sense to change rooms with 2 ADA rooms needed and only 1 available, and no stools. the manager on duty was not at all helpful in helping us resolve our problem with the arrival date and said he would not be able to give us any kind of a credit for the wrong day arrival. We felt he was not at all caring for our concerns and did not offer us the time of day. We do not need that kind of help.

Took my shoes off at the bed and walked to the tub/shower. Stepped in and saw mud rings circling my feet from my short walk to the tub. Floor tile had two 4' cracks leading to the tub. Just not well maintained.

My shower didn't work for the first 2 days. I notified the hotel staff on the first day and was told someone would come and fix it the next day, no one came. When I called again, I was told that the maintenance dept. was closed on Sundays and they would send someone to fix it on Monday, I wonder why I wasn't told the maintenance dept was closed on Sunday […] to begin with. There was no apologies for the inconvenience or delay in fixing. Also, the same debris remained on the floor in the hotel and outside, no one cleaned it or picked it up during the 3 days that I was there. I had to ask 2 times for more coffee and dish soap. This hotel was wrong in every way. It was filthy from the inside to the outside. It sits across the street from the rail road tracks as well. At 4 am you could here people yelling in their rooms and children screaming down the hall ways.The staff was horrible and unavailable. the worst room we have had in years, will never want to stay at a Days Inn […] ever again, it was just as bad if not worse then Motel 6. Our orignal hotel (Extended Stay) over booked so we got bumped to this crap hole because we are smokers is what we were told...hard to find a smoking room...come on Hotels.com or Expedia...what ever name you feel like using. I got emails regarding the cancellation from both websites but booked with Hotels.com. Why create your own "pretend" competition? Very disappointed. The only part that I would change is that fact that the front desk folks seem to hide (be stationed) outside of view so you have to cough or something to get their attention. 1. I was missing the chairs for the kitchen table 2. Didn't find out until the next morning that the refrigerator was not working, so a large pan of homemade lasagne that I had made for a get together after a funeral was no good. 3.
