Great place, beautiful beach. Wonderful food with special thumbs up to Chef Mario for his BBQ at the beach. Staff ready to help. All-inclusive including beer and drinks is a plus. Definitely would come back.

If your looking for a very nice beach, great surf, a relaxation experience, great food, and very little by way of sales pressure for time shares or vendors, then this is the place you want to go. I'm not a Four Seasons kind of person (too expensive) so I'm not looking down on this Hotel. I personally did not like the fact that my AC did not work even after the maintenance man came over to adjust the air. He did not speak english so he was no help at all. The Royal Suites portion of the Pallidium Vallarta offers an extremely nice vacation with its suites, pool and restaurant on one side of the resort. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is about 45 minutes from downtown Malecon. The hotel staff is amazing and the food is wonderful. The views are amazing and activities at the hotel are fun. It is a great resort for a family or a honeymoon couple!

went May 2011. This hotel was about 45 minutes away from the airport. The cab ride cost 350 pesos. This hotel was secluded on a private beach that was perfect for a beautiful relaxing getaway. WEAR SUNSCEEN. The sun is very strong in Mexico and you dont want to spend yous vacation sick in your air con room with heat stroke, TRUST ME. There wasnt much to do outside of the hotel but the hotel had enough to keep us entertained. They have a sports bar playing all hockey, soccer etc games. There is a ZOO! with monkeyts, peacocks, parrots, crocadiles, ostrich, dear etc. The animals have a pretty spacious area and seem pretty happy. The nightly entertainment (from what we saw.. which was only two nights) was dull. The buffet was awesome! lots of fresh, tasty food. The restaurants were beautiful espcially the mexican one over looking the water ( go right before the sunset). Bring sunscreen and aloe before you go because the prices at the gift shop are outrageous and there is no shopping near by. they provide free daily activities like cooking classes, spanish lessons, salsa, archery, catamaran, surfing etc. The beach is beautiful. Puerta vallarta beach is kind of ugly but the beach here has beigy-white sand and clean, clear water. The water is not crystal blue because there are lots of reefs that that make the water look darker but im sure it must be good for snorkeling. We went in the end of April and the water was kind of cold but people were swimming in it but not a whole lot of people. (more for the brave- not me). The only redeeming quality of this resort is the beach...awesome body surfing. Nothing else was good. The rooms are dark and smell like mildew. Sewer smells waft along the public walkways. Las peores vacaciones que he tenido en las playas mexicanas, La atención es MALA , una de las noches en las que pase en su hotel se fue la luz, tenia un medicamento que requería refrigerar y se hecho a perder, en recepción no fueron buenos para ofrecerme hielos! así que desde la mitad de la estadía me quedé sin medicamento; no había ningún mesero en […] las albercas, los empleados se quejaban que les pagaban 900 pesos a la quincena y que se limitaban a solo hacer su trabajo -sic cómo es esto posible? entonces como ganarse propinas ? el Restaurante Mexicano, e Italiano Bien, el del bufet regular, el oriental mal, las carnes muy duras, los baños en el restaurante sucios, en la habitación el aire acondicionado no se podía bajar la temperatura a menos de "22 Grados" y estaba caliente! se sentía como a 30 o 33 grados,, en la alberca para adultos trataron muy mal los de seguridad a un canadiense por que no le entendían lo que decía por hablar un inglés mezclado con francés, se entiende, pero por que jalonearlo, si no estaba en tan malas condiciones, en la playa la escalera del salvavidas toda rota, pasamanos en las escaleras rotos, en la habitación la regadera disfuncional por que no se detenía, el servibar no enfriaba bien ( ponen cerveza de adorno porque caliente no se puede tomar) la televisión se veía súper mal en todos los canales, pedí cambio de habitación y no me lo quisieron dar, si había disponibilidad, por que las habitaciones de los lados estaban solas!, total! no volvemos Read more
