Northwood Inn & Suites - Bloomington

Ok so I booked this hotel for a mothers day getaway and let me just say if a hotel does not have any pictures posted online dont ever wing it. I almost cryed when I checked in. The pool looked like a puddle small and dirty the room smelled awful

Well, the stay was not so bad. Things that I like to mention is the bathroom which is very small and no room to move inside. The shower was in dire need for major remodeling. The bed was ok, not enough pillows.It is a good place for one or two nites.

We liked the pool and the location, but to find someone elses long black hair (several) in our blankets creeped us out. Then when checking out I couldn't get the clerk to get off the phone long enough to tell them about the blanket!!

The front desk people were very nice and accommodating to my wife and I but the room wasn't very clean and some one called the hotel and tried to scam us which made me really mad it's close to the mall bit other than that not worth it would not recommend it to anyone

We had a terrific stay . The staff had a cot at our room before we brought our luggage fr the car! We planned to only have 1 grandchild with us but had 2 so the cot was much needed. I am writing this after staying at the Northwood Inn & Suites location in Bloomington, MN for the second time. The price is almost impossible to beat, both times the rooms have been above my standards for cleanliness. I was really scary. First of all the hotel clerk wasnt all cleaned up herself. She looked like she just rolled out of bed and forgot to brush her hair. When we arrived, check in was easy, but as we walked to our room I was horrified at the smell in the hallway. At a closer look there were cob webs everywhere! The halls were gross! Hotel was fine for what we needed. Carpet could be cleaned & I don't think no one has ever vacuumed under the bed. Room smelled of smoke even though it was non smoking. Great location & easy to find!!

This hotel sucked in every way possible. The pool was broken, the cameras everywhere give it a prison-ish feel, the bathroom was absolutely tiny, and the bed was like sleeping on a rock. The only pluses were the couch and the mini fridge. Bottom line: spend the extra 20 bucks and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

First room we got in to wasn't clean, second one there were burn holes in the blankets and overall gave us not clean. Smelled of beer on walking in and site didn't seem safe.

Good value and comfort for a 2 star. Good attitude of staff, but there was no room service, but no worries I got a good rate. The location is very close to Mall of America. Only one ice machine and that too near the office.. Overall, I was a satisfied guest at this hotel.

They were having an issue with the power that night so the lights and TV kept going out. The condition of the windows and doors were poor that the cold seeped in everywhere. There were breezes coming from the face plates of the light switch and plugin on the outside walls. The refrigerator seal on the freezer area was growing mold.

I took off the "icky" sheets and sweat-smelling comforter to manage about 4 hours of sleep which was good based on this stay. I heard no traffic for being so close to the road. My wife would have slept in the car and I wish I would have.

The hotel room was nice and clean, the grounds, hallways, stairways, and windows haven't been cleaned in years. It was close to the mall which is why I went there. I'd recommend, good value for the low price.

Clean rooms, service was great. Provide your own shampoo and soap. Location was great. It was cheap which I wanted. I just needed a place to sleep for 2 nights, thats all. I wasn't going to go out of my way to get a big fancy hotel just to sleep in. Yes it is an older hotel but it is nice. Nothing wrong. I would reccommend it.

We were skeptical after reading many of the other comments but we were extremely satisfied with the accommodations. We were with a party of 5 other couples from out of town and all stayed here. We were all extremely satisfied with it. Our room did have a very slight musty odor to it upon entry but I asked the desk clerk and she immediately sent a young […] lady to the room to refresh it. With the use of some Lysol and Febreeze it was just fine in minutes. The clerk was friendly courteous and more than helpfull. Got xtra pillows and towels. We enjoyed our visits very much and came back a second time as welll. Very nice place. FYI they all spoke American or English if you will very fluently. If anemities are an issue WalMart is one block away and EZ access!! Read more
