We asked for a non smoking room and they said we had one but when we stepped in the room that was all you could smell was smoke. There was supposed to be wi-fi but we didn't get it in our room. I called front desk to see what they could do for us and we had someone come to our room (manager) with her son (probably about 12-13 yrs of age) to see that […] the wi-fi wasn't working. Well I am not completely stupid and I do know how to use a computer, the son asked me how old was my computer and maybe I needed to get a new because the wi-fi wasn't working. He had his laptop with him and I asked him to sign with his computer and he couldn't. Needless to say they said it was our computers fault, they did not even attempt to ask us if we wanted another room. I was not impressed. The clerk when we check in was very indifferent with us and not very friendly. The pool was not clean. We had to hunt down the housekeeping staff to get clean towels. Not only that we asked for a room on the bottom floor and they didn't give us one, the hotel was never full the whole time we stayed there. Read more

Were surprised we were charged a pet fee for our small caged parrots. Most hotels charge only for dogs or cats. Room was in need of upgrading (bathroom shower and sink area) but was acceptable.

I have stayed here a number of times. We meet up with friends from all over the country in Oak Ridge a couple of times a year, and many of us stay here at the Days Inn. This year it looked like they had done a lot of work to the place. Nice new paint job, new railings, the rooms were in great shape, and the staff was friendly as usual. I stayed here 2 nights my bed was comfortable the room was clean and had more amenities than I expected. Fridge, coffee maker, full size board and iron and a Cont. Breakfast. I would stay there again. Thanks, JM

Hotel is crappy. Appears owners see it as a slot machine only. Hotel could use updating, better customer service, actual dining area and better landscaping. Rooms could use more outlets and existing outlets should be repaired so that plugged in items do not fall out. Hallways should be cleaned. I hesitated to write this review, but feel its a necessary reminder to travelers. The hotel rep assured me at check-in the hotel was safe for its surroundings near the highway, etc. But later that evening, while drying off from my shower, a man unlocked and walked in my room, apparently given a key card mistakenly from the front desk. I had not yet […] bolted the door for the night, so I was a bit shocked. When I called the front desk, the young guy said its been 'very hectic' there. Well, I'm sorry, but the NUMBER ONE job they have is to protect patrons. They could have put me in danger. So while it may have been just a mistake, and they apologized, they still need to be held accountable for the one basic function they should have upheld. I take responsibility for not dead-bolting immediately, but I shouldn't have had to worry about it with the key card. Lesson learned. Read more

Typical Days Inn except for two things: The king bed had fitted queen sheets (4 nights). They could stretch the sheets on the mattress, however, it came off when we laid on the bed.
