Hopefully we have become your home away from home when you are coming to the neighborhood to see a show at the Neptune. Thank you again, Sincerely, Jonathan Bartlett General Manager
"Hotel was actually dirty"
Hotel was dirty; the rates were overpriced; the doors could have been opened with a credit card( the elevators did not work; no towels; shuttle was never available.Genuine Expedia guest review
Beautiful hotel with a lot of personality in the decor. Rooms were very quiet in spite of being near campus and many late-night businesses. Very convenient to the Vogue Theatre across the street. Excellent service from all the staff. Would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A really different hotel with a great design"
My daughter and I had a great stay. The room on the 14th floor was good and roomy, we got that two queen version. The Tulles Coffee shop attached to the lobby make for any easy breakfast. the parking was $19 extra.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Hotel Deca - A Noble House Hotel Hello Chris, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent trip to Hotel Deca. I hope you also had time to enjoy the amazing views from your floor. Thank you again. Sincerely, Jonathan Bartlett General Manager
"Poor curb appeal."
I was in the city to visit relatives and did not have time to try out the lounge and other hotel facilities. The room was comfortable and clean, but the lobby was dingy. Security (card reader in elevator) was a thoughtful amenity.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Hotel Deca - A Noble House Hotel Thank you for your review. I do have some good news regarding your comment about the lobby. We recognize that we need to update the lobby so in a few months we will be giving that area a face lift. I think you will really like the changes. It will be a mix of College meets Art Deco. I am very excited to get this project started. Thank you again. Sincerely, Jonathan Bartlett General Manager
"Great people! Great location! Great view!"
We have stayed at Hotel Deca off and on for years now. The rooms are always well-maintained and the staff is always helpful, friendly, and professional. It has an international flavor to it with its clientele and we like that. Location-wise it's perfect for us. It's close to UW. It's near the "Ave" that has some cool places to visit and Pagliacci's […] Pizza. And it has a super view (we've been lucky enough to upgrade to higher level rooms sometimes). I'd like a softer bed, but I've been complaining about that at practically every hotel I've stayed at for years now--it seems to be the industry standard. On this visit, we were in town for two different events and we were going to need to switch from casual clothes to business clothes later in the afternoon (hour after we'd checked out). They were quite accommodating and provided a nice, clean, quiet, secluded rest room for the change. When my husband has to travel to Seattle alone, he goes by train and they have a shuttle service that picks him up and takes him to the hotel and to his appointment the next morning. They also have breakfast available in the morning and a coffee shop & lounge onsite. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Hotel Deca - A Noble House Hotel Hello Lo, I am so glad we continue to treat you to fantastic experiences. I agree, we do have a really amazing neighborhood and our proximity to the UW makes it ideal for anyone needing to be close to the University. Hopefully we will see you again in the very near future. Thank you again. Jonathan Bartlett General Manager
"Great University area"
I've stayed at Deca every time I visit Seattle. The staff are energetic and young but very efficient and friendly. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. Often if the hotel is not fully booked they will upgrade your room without any additional charges - Just ask them. Wifi is free but you need to pay for parking like 19 dollars a day. Most […] hotels in Seattle downtown area also charge for parking so I guess you can't avoid that. Deca has a great restaurant in the basement where you can even get organic eggs for breakfast which I am thrilled about. It's also very close to University street area where there are a lot of funky shops and people - a lot like Haight Street I am used to here in SF. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Updated rooms, great location"
For an older building, I was surprised at the updated rooms. They rooms aren't large but are very comfortable with an adequate work area and a very comfortable bed. I had a corner room with amazing views of the Space Needle and Seattle skyline. The location was perfect - close to UW and a quick drive to downtown - easy access to I-5 from the hotel. Overall the hotel was as expected. But it seems to be out of place being in a college area..lots of students walking around.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was in am excellent location. Easy on-off freeway. Close shopping and food to walk to. Beds super comfy. Walls thin. Could hear easily anyone in hallway including cleaning staff conversations. Overall a super experience tho. Would for sure stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Deca - February 2014 Visit"
We stayed at Hotel Deca for three days while visiting University of Washington with our son.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fun and Funky"
Great location in the U District. This was a last minute trip, during a very busy time in the city. We enjoyed the experience and they were surprisingly kid friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Spending time at Children's Hospital."
All members of the staff from cleaning crew to desk clerks were helpful and polite.Genuine Expedia guest review
As usual, I enjoyed my stay at Deca -- I generally love this hotel. However, during this particular stay, the weather was very cold. The room was very cold when I checked in and between the room heat and a space heater the hotel provided, it did not warm up to comfort level for 10 hours.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect location by UW"
My sister lives on a boat at Lake Union. Hotel was walking distance and staff were very friendly. Will stay there again when I visit my sister.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice, but be prepared..."
For the $19 fee to park your car. No problem if there was valet parking or a nice secured lot, but this was 19 bucks to park right outside the hotel. Hadn't ever seen this before. Regardless, nice location and very nice hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Always a great place to stay"
We stayed at the Hotel Deca many times during the time our daughter attended UW. She still lives nearby, so we still choose this hotel. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is very well maintained. My one complaint is the parking charge. It feels like an unnecessary extra charge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice overall hotel"
Great location, cozy room with amazing view of Mt Rainier, hotel has character. Especially appreciated the hotel shuttle. All staff members were really helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place, but..."
I really enjoyed the look and feel of the hotel, and the view was incredible. But the walls are literally paper thin and I heard far too many people peeing, and every door that was opened on my floor made me think my door was being opened. Otherwise the place was great! The shower stuff was fancy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Deca, Seattle (U of W location)"
A very convenient hotel with pretty good food in the basement restaurant and a nifty cafe in the building. The building is aging, so the rooms show that age. I found the location excellent, since I was adjacent to the University of Washington campus and to my destination, which unfortunately was a family funeral. Note they charge extra for parking rather […] than including that in their rate. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Jan MPA stay"
Very close to UofWa, easy walk to the Ave for food and entertainment. Room had a nice view but very small for the price. Almost had to stand in the tub to close the bathroom door. Friendly staff with a Tully's in the lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in University District"
Check-in went quickly and smoothly. Our room was clean. We felt safe staying here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close enough to where i had to go..."
There were aspects of the room that were lacking, yet the overall appeal was sufficient...Genuine Expedia guest review
We spent News Year eve in the hotel. It was very noise since was allowed to have parties in some floors and rooms. It was difficult for a family to sleep in the rooms with such noise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A terrible place to stay"
This is a terrible place to stay. If your room is next to the elevator and ice maker, then you will wake up all night. Highly NOT recommended. Don't know why it is rate a 4 starts. It should be zero.Genuine Expedia guest review
"hotel conveniently located to get to the city."
At times noise level got high. Had access to free wifi, and gym.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close by where we needed to be."
Our initial room was very tiny. I asked for an upgrade, the junior suite was much better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location, Nice Service"
We were going to a show at the neptune and the location was perfect, the room was big and comfortable (minus the tiny bathroom), and everyone was nice. Wireless internet was fast and free. They also offer rides into town which was great and allowed me to avoid finding parking downtown. Parking at the hotel is extra as is breakfast, so keep that in mind. "Charming and a great value"
While visiting family in Seattle, I had previously stayed at another facility that was pretty awful. Maybe that was why I found Hotel Deca so wonderful! The contrast was amazing. Actual decor in the lobby, room service and a room with a view of the Space Needle! My room wasn't large but it was very nice. Of course the fog and clouds prevented me from […] seeing the Space Needle for a large portion of my 3-night stay, but I did see it from time to time and that was lovely. Since my family was picking me up and taking me places, I had no problem with transportation and don't know how convenient the hotel is to mass transit. I ordered room service twice and it was good both times. One morning we also went to the little coffee place off the lobby and got lattes for the road. The closet space (a real walk-in closet) was amazing! Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Seattle. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"In the heart of the "U" District"
We have stayed here frequently, like its "art deco" ambiance well. Only drawback is the relatively recent charge for parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel hear UW"
I thought this was a great hotel, with a very clean room that had a wonderful view of the city. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and it was easily accessible to the university of washington (less than 5 min drive or 15 min walk).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Eventhough the hotel made a mistake with my reservation my stay was really nice! The hotel is gorgeous and it is close to the downtown area and bars.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mixed Review - Some good & some bad"
I stayed here a total of 5 nights mixed over 8 days. Overall, the hotel has a great location, clean rooms & very friendly staff. I did have mixed experiences on different nights. First, one of the two elevators was broken the entire week. It made everything SUPER slow. I had mostly great rooms, but one room had a very unpleasant odor - but they very […] quickly and easily moved me to a room that did not. I was able to get the free shuttle easily one day, but it was booked the other days I tried. However I had an awful time trying to extend my stay a night over the phone. I ended up paying for wifi at a coffee house and booking it online in the time it took me on hold waiting to do it over the phone. Lesson learned. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very conveniently close to the public transportation; however we found ourselves always going down to the pike so we might end up staying closer to there next time. Good location for food and the univeristy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Partying neighbors - LOUD!"
Night 1 the neighbors were having a ranging party. We finally called the the front desk around 11:00 p.m. and the noise stopped shortly after. Room didn't seem to warm up. The whole hotel was super cold. They need a vestibule at the entry to stop the air.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
over-priced and not very exciting. the fact you need a key card to go in the elevator made it pretty difficult to have other people over. especially since the keycard readers take 6 times to work. but other than that it was a great comfortable room, no lock on the bathroom door tho, and i payed for their best room short of the presidential suite. "Great Hotel while visiting UW!"
The hotel is very close to University of Washington and it is very convenient while you are visiting the university. The room we stayed was very specious with beautiful view from the corner window. The bathroom was a bit small, but nice and clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was a not so pleasant surprise that parking wasn't included since I know that it is normally when you go through them directly.Genuine Expedia guest review
I did not see that they charge for parking -- $25. Just keep it in mind. Nice place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for a few nights near the University"
The room was comfortable and clean with some great views. The beds were delightful. Amenities were great, except more accessible electrical outlets near the bed would be good!
