The hotel was not the one pictured on line. Older, un-kept building. Working on rooms doing some construction. The jacuzzi and the sauna were closed down. The building needed a paint job. The room #220 was missing a smoke alarm and the plug ends were old and loose and only one plug with a 3rd ground wire. There was internet service. The lady desk clerk […] who worked the swing shift, blonde, was nice and friendly but that was the nicest part of our stay there. Overall... Hotel was inexpensive, WiFi was great, but the hotel is a little run down, and back windows were not secure. Also there was a lot of noise on the road out in front.

Good value for the buck. Recommended if you are just looking for some place to crash at night.

Overall the room was ok, looks like they are remoadling and heading in the right direction, The bathroom could use a good cleaning.

the room was just fine, very roomy with appliances. the frig. leaked but was not an issue for us. we had a short stay. pet freindly, clean and good size rooms and large parking lot, good for suv's. very nice appearance-alpine-like

Great shower head in bathroom. Mattress was decent. One chair was dangerous to sit in.

This is just a basic motel, even par or below Motel 6. Since we were just passing through for one night, it was adequate.

Decent place for the price. The cable TV channels were less than what they said on a listing in the room. The shower had the water pressure force of a fire hose which I loved. Quiet.

Pretty much a dive

The room was ok for the price. It wasn't extremely clean, there were beverage splashes/stains on the walls and the window sills were very dirty and the blow dryer didn't work well. The lady at the check in/out counter was friendly.

You get what you pay for. This is an older motel, but they've tried to keep it up. It was surprisingly a quiet stay though. My biggest problem was the rude clerk who answered the phone when I called early the morning of our expected stay. Very rude person!

The location and price were good. The staff was wonderful. One big problem was noise. You could hear everybody walking up and down and had to slam doors shut. Curtains had a big blood stain on them. I recommend new curtains !

The room (one Q bed) was very crowded. The shower next door was so loud we got up when they did. They accept pet but don't seem to have special rooms for them so the dogs up on the bedspreads were not a welcome sight in the rooms around us.

For those who wish to stay in Cresent City and try to save a little money, this hotel fits the bill. My only real complaint was that I reserved three rooms, one of which was to be a smoking room. This hotel is easy to find and worked well for our time in the Redwoods National Park. The staff recommended a good seafood restaurant but when we went there they had closed early that day.

Good value

The room had a bathroom that was modernized and the rest of the room was a good value. Best part is the Mexican Rest. and Bar next door that made the trip.

This is a dirty, run down, gross motel with furnishing abandoned from the early 80's. I opted out of a shower because of the grimy ring in the shower. Toilet ran all night and we woke up with bites all over. I have traveled in 3rd world countries with better facilities. The Quality Inn and Suites is down the street and looks nice and new.

Clean and easily accessible, but you cold hear pretty well through the walls. Next door neighbor's TV was not turned up too loud, but we could still hear it until 4 am.

This motel was overpriced and out of date. The front desk closes at 10, also, which wasn't convenient. The complimentary breakfast only consisted of shrink wrapped muffins. Would not recommend this one.

We had a very nice room. The staff is very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this America's Best Value Inn.

Hotel if conveniently located right off the 101 which if you are traveling is great. Hotel for price its what to expect. It was a small clean room very dated and wasn't sure how clean the actual bedding was. Shower was nice and hot that was a plus with good water pressue. This was an older hotel with no air conditioning however the fourth of July was not very hot and so it was o.k. We could watch the fireworks from our second floor room............very nice. The breakfast included hard boiled eggs which was a nice addition to the complimentary breakfast. They kept bringing eggs; the clerk at the front desk that morning […] was most helpful in giving directions to the P.O. and was a very happy person. Fine for aplace to rest and recover from the road. Very basic, very courteous staff.

Th room was large and very comfy, Is dog friendly so we could bring our little Sophie. The only downfall is that the bathrooms are very very outdated with much needed improvement. The room had coffee maker frige and microwave. Which comes in handy on certain occaisions. Over all I would stay there again.

Lodging can be pretty pricey in Crescent City, so I was happy to get a room for myself and my daughter at such a reasonable price. Nothing fancy here, but it gets the job done. Our room was clean, if a bit plain, and the beds were comfortable. The lady who checked us in was very pleasant. Wi-fi worked well, and the TV had a good selection of channels. The […] complimentary breakfast, while not as elaborate as you see at some places, was quite adequate, with a choice of two cold cereals, fruit (apples), orange juice, coffee, toast (I appreciated the choice of whole wheat bread!) hard boiled eggs and muffins. There's also a Starbuck's right next door, if you find yourself craving fancier coffee. The motel is very easy to find from either northbound or southbound 101, being on the northern end of town where the north and southbound lanes come together (it's on the right-hand side, if you're coming from the north). It's convenient to all area attractions, restaurants and shops. It is RIGHT on the highway, so if you're bothered by road noises, you might want to request a room nearer to the back of the property. Three things to be aware of: 1) Don't assume you can pull all the way up to the barrier when you park, if you're near one of the brick pylons that hold up the second story...you will scrape the side of your bumper on the brick (yes, personal experience!). 2) If you rely on wake-up calls, be aware that the phones aren't right by the bed, but are on the desk on the far side of the room...if you tend to wake up too groggy to navigate across the room to pick up the phone, better to use a travel alarm clock (yes, personal experience again!). 3) Finally, if you have physical challenges, be aware that there isn't an elevator...you may want to request a ground-floor room. Those few caveats aside, it's a decent motel at a decent price, and I would stay there again. Read more

Noisy, small, lousy attitude of front desk. Cannot say enough about not staying at this property at any price. What we paid was about 20 more than the local ad stated the price for the room was. I questioned when we checked and they said basically too bad, we paid hotel. com so we were stuck.

was dirty lot of things were broken in the first room so they had to transfer us to a suite lack of that word which was not any nicer really. people were nice. but quality of the room not so much. good for a 1 night stay but not for a weekend.

Room was clean and nice for the price, but could have used some sound proofing. Had some very noisy neighbors that kept us up until 2 AM parting.

Super friendly staff, quiet, close to everything, very welcoming to pets and right next door to Starbucks, enough said.

Great place to stay however their was no jazzi or sauna as advertised, so please update information so that people can plan accordly.

the room was clean, no noticable smells, very roomy, comfortable beds, great location for convinience, right on 101 so their is traffic noise but i was tward the front of the place, i imagine the rear of the building to be quieter. over all for the price this site got for me, it was an outstanding value, just wish the indoor hot tub was working, they […] seem to be doing a total renovation on the spa building, i would go there again on my next trip to Cresent City. Very nice staff, convenient location, clean, but very worn. If you are looking for a fancy place to stay then this is not your place. The jacuzzi looks as if it's been a long time since it was working as well. The furnishings are old, but if you are looking for a comfortable place to sleep and get away from for the day then here is an option. The place was older but very clean and well taken care off. The Sauna and Jacuzzi were in the process of being dismantled and I guess replaced, this was not made known to me prior to my arrival. I was a bit disappointed since I had picked a place with a Jacuzzi to relax in after my hiking trips in the area. This place was a dump. The Front Desk Clerk was not friendly or helpful which was a reflection on the rest of the place. They advertise to have a pool or jacuzzi and they didn't have either one. Our room was dark and dirty. The bath tub was the size of a sink. The caulkin was badly done and dirty. The key to the front door was loose. There were cob […] webs on the windows. Definitely needed a lot of maintenance. For the money I paid it definitely not worth it. In fact if you told me that it would be free for me to stay, I still would not stay at this hotel. Very good value for the money. Unique room layout with large bathroom. GREAT shower. Open windows is the air conditioning but road noise was minimal. Got a good nights sleep.
