The hotel is what I expected. It wasn't a bad stay and for the price I though it was great! My only complaint about this hotel was that they didnt provide conditioner. They only provided soap and shampoo. The shower head was white, but had a lot of dirt on it. Not that big of a deal.. This was better than expected for Travelodge. The building and room were very clean. The property is close to downtown. There is a cafe that hosts live music in the evening, but they stop about 9PM.

Salinas was very close to Monterey and all that it had to offer. The accommodations were good and the price was $30 better than going straight to the hotel web site. The weekend we were there all the hotels were booked so we lucked out.

Between the guys hanging out in the parking lot drinking beer and revving car engines and marching band practice at the high school down the street, it was pretty noisy. Everything quieted down by ten o'clock or so, but if you're looking rest, this is not your place.

The carpets were very dirty. The staff seemed reluctant to put out more food, coffee... 1/2 hour before the end of breakfast, watered down waffle batter?!?!! They did switch us to a larger room to accommodate a rollaway, but that is the only positive thing.

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at and I am glad I had it booked for only one night which I wanted to spend while driving from LA to SFO. The room stinked with almost no ventilation. The mattress was perhaps old caused a severe bach ache.

We were pleasantly suprised to find the hotel had free wireless internet, and comlimentary breakfast. The room was clean and had very nice ammenities, including wonderfully citrus scented soaps and shampoos. Lots of cable channels to choose from, and only 20 mins to the coast of Carmel and Monterey. Very nice!

I needed a place to stay in Salinas to break up a long road trip, and had pretty limited needs, so I wasn't looking to spend a lot. However, I can't recommend the Ramada Limited. The state of maintenance of our room was unacceptable. The gap between the door and the weatherstripping was about 3/8 of an inch when the door was closed, so draft, light […] and noise came into the room from the parking lot. The curtains on the window were not properly installed, so would not close completely, adding to that problem. In the bathroom, the toilet paper holder was broken, so the roll was just set on top of the toilet tank, where it was nearly impossible to reach when seated. The floor had been tiled, but the tile was short of reaching the wall by about 3/4 of an inch near the door, leaving a dirty trench - no attempt to fill or cover the gap had been made. We had selected a room with two queen-size beds. There were, in fact, two queen-size beds in the room, despite the fact that the room was too small to contain them. The space between the bed and the wall was approximately 4 inches, so I had to climb onto the bed at the foot rather than getting in from the side. The bed was also not properly made - the first thing my wife and I did was remove everything from the mattress to get the mattress pad centered - it was out of position by over 24 inches and rumpled, leaving huge wrinkles in the sheets. We took an impromptu family trip to see a mission and looked for last minute hotel arrangements and booked this hotel for the first leg. BIG MISTAKE. Hotel although convenient for my needs was not up to the normal Ramada standards. Room was not really clean, TV remote broken and never fixed for the entire 10 days I was there, broken table and chairs, light over vanity didn't work and finally got fixed after five days of complaining.
