"Quiet oasis in the city"
Staff was very friendly and the shuttle around the city was terrific.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very Nice Stay"
My wife and I stayed here as part of a business/vacation trip. The hotel staff was very friendly and ready to help. The two different shuttle services were great. Being the summer there were no classes so things were quiet. I took the college shuttle to Union Station every morning. We used the hotel shuttle to take us right to the door of the Newseum. […] The grounds of the college are beautiful. My wife and I both enjoyed our stay and would definitely use this hotel again and recommend it to others. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet get away"
Desk staff was new..very friendly but not aware of their own business...errors on shuttle services, dry cleaning, and cafeteria prices. The shuttle drivers were GREAT and very accommodating. The cafeteria staff was very polite friendly and accommodating..Continental breakfast was not free and a bit pricey. Regular wasn't even served one day because […] "there weren't enough guests in the hotel." Parking was quite a walk away. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I picked this hotel due to its proximity to the Union Station and the free shuttle they provided from there, but it took almost 20 minutes for the shuttle to arrive, and then it made a lot of stops before getting to the hotel, so the whole process took almost an hour. However, the staff was really pleasant upon arrival and to make it all better, they […] told me that there was a free shuttle that could take me all the way to Reagan Airport in the morning, so overall it was painless. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only thing missing was a jacuzzi and a pool! .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very friendly staff"
The staff at the Kellogg Conference Hotel was super friendly. We had lots of questions about how to get where and the surrounding area and the staff was not only helpful but really nice too. There are plenty of times when we visit a hotel and have very limited interaction with the staff, not the case on this trip. Seems like we interacted with 4-5 people […] in our one day stay. No issues at all. Highly recommended. Very close to H street and the "Rock and Roll Hotel." Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quick weekend trip."
Very Scenic hotel. I had a view of the Capital from my room. Very nice staff. Lovely campus.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff was nice and helpful. Most were fluent in sign language.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall, I thought the Gallaudet hotel/conference center was a pleasant place to stay. The college campus and surrounding neighborhood is beautiful with many historical structures. My room was clean, spacious and met my needs. The person checking me in, however, did not explain the dining options well (the restaurant was only open for breakfast during […] my stay) but another staff member later informed me that shuttle access to local restaurants could be arranged. I would recommend the hotel to other travelers. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The room is very clean and facilities are good. The only issue we had was with transportation. The bus stop required a bit of walking, and the bus was crowded in the morning. Cab was difficult to get and not reliable, but it was not the hotel's fault and may be simply because we were unlucky.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent choice, but buried on a campus"
I am glad I chose this hotel, the price was reasonable, the staff was excellent, and the rooms were clean and quiet. I do wish they had a secure wireless network, but that is certainly not a deal breaker. One thing to note is that there are no restaurants or bars immediately around the hotel. You have to walk or taxi a fewGenuine Expedia guest review
"A decent place to stay....."
Nothing fancy, no frills, just a clean quiet affordable hotel in the DC area. A decent place to stay for it's price.Genuine Expedia guest review
Service was ok. Parking costs 18$ a day! Room was not clean, water smelled weird like an aquarium. Is located on campus, seems to be safe, but i wouldnt walk outside by night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel situated on a college campus is hard to find with a walk to a parking garage and a parking fee. No bell man. Poor desk staff. Decent rooms and it is clean. It is remote for connecting to night life. Staff took forever to figure out expedia reservations. If you are involved as a parent on campus this place is fine. Not otherwise.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Mediocre at beat"
The major hang up for us was being told we had booked one less room than as completed and charged for. The woman at the counter was, at first, anything but empathetic or helpful, unwilling to help with our $390 reservation or bring ANYONE to amend any miscommunication.Genuine Expedia guest review
"College Visit convenience"
The hotel was easy to find, very convenient. Campus was clean and picturesque. Upon arriving, I encountered a bus cutting the corner by House #1, going through the one-way pathway on the wrong side of the road. Luckily, we didn't collide. A DC map would have been helpful upon check in; however, the room contained a magazine with a map. I would definitely […] return again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient location not ideal for business travel."
It was a great deal considering the time of year I needed to go. The University Shuttle is helpful although it does not run past 9'ish. Easy walk to metro during the day but was not recommended at night. The business center is 2 computers and cost 10 cents per print.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, Shuttle to the necessary metro"
I didn't realize we would have to take the train to see the sights from the hotel BUT the hotel provided us a shuttle to the metro. The room was very comfortable and the hotel staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I would definitely return to this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was nice the first time we walked in, but the next four days it was dirty. The dust was everywhere. Breakfast is another problem and especially with kids.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent rooms but no microwave and refrigerator"
I stayed here with my family for vacation last week, booked two rooms. The hotel and rooms were very well maintained. They had daily shuttle service to Union Station at regular intervals. They also helped get shuttle from hotel to the Reagan airport. The staff was very friendly and informative. I did not like that they don't have microwave and would […] charge extra for providing a refrigerator. Also, no complimentary breakfast. We hired Capital Share Ride bikes to travel from Union Station to all the attractions. Otherwise it's very tiring by walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay, low price"
This hotel is great when you are traveling on a budget. The service was excellent and the room was very clean and comfy. The location was a little off because it's on a college campus but other than that it was the perfect stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed with family overnight before spending a day in DC... Excellent and professional service and unexpectedly large room won us over. Place is tailored to Gallaudet University students (hearing impaired.) Overall not too bad for hotel so close to center of the city.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Employees were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, however if would have been helpful to have a refrigerator. Thank you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pay the extra elsewhere..."
Thin walls you can hear everything. Make sure you are up early or there is no hot water. Breakfast is $$ with little choice. This us a college, so be expected to be woken up especially on Friday night's. We checked out at 11pm on a Friday night because management could not contain the noise problem... "My daughter is a student at Gallaudet."
This was only a one night stay, so we arrived at 10:00am. There were no rooms ready, but we left our bags with staff and parked car. There was an event going that weekend on campus so Gallaudet shuffle service was limited. The hotel staff had there van take us to Chinatown. When arrive back to hotel around 5:30 we checked in. We were on top floor . […] Great view of the capital. Room was very clean and for the first time we had a refrigerator in our room. Weather was awesome so we slept with the window open. "surprising "cloister" near capitol hill"
on a very unique, secure campus in the heart of SE DC, college for blind, deaf and dumb students. Very new, nice facility, quiet area, with good every 20 min shuttle to Union Station.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Reasonable option w/ disappointing water pressure"
2 night stay for 2 rooms, realized that water pressure (for hot water) was very bad (almost no water coming out) in both rooms. Raised issue with staff, who said it would be fixed for the next day, but was not properly fixed in one of the rooms Shuttle service to National Mall is nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
They did not have our room when we arrived. They did find a room for us. There were not enough pillows in the room. When we asked for more pillows we were told that housekeeping was locked for the night. I asked twice the next day for a pillow. We never did get a pillow. The air in iur room was not working. "Not a 3 star hotel"
The desk clerk too several minutes to come out from the back upon arrival, but she did let us check in early. The lobby is nice, but that's as far as it goes. The elevator is super slow. The hallways on the guest floors are very 'institutional' feeling - think dorms rather than hotel. The windows in the room open, even on the 5th floor, which was nice. […] One of the screens was missing though. The hot water handle on the sink did not work right - could turn on the water, but turning it off took several attempts. On check out we waited more than 5 minutes for the clerk to look up directions for the group ahead of us before I gave up and left the key on the counter - she never acknowledged our presence. I won't stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Great "Hidden Secret" Hotel"
The hotel, at first, seemed a little out of the immediate city were you couldn't just walk a ways to the main area of attractions. However, we came to learn they offer free shuttle from hotel from 8am - 11pm every day (Sunday's may be different), every hour on the hour, to any attraction on the D.C. side (not Arlington Cemetery because in Virginia). […] Plus, the campus has a free shuttle about every 20 minutes to Union Station, the metro, which was so easy to get everywhere we needed to go, including Arlington Cemetery and the little (so cute) town called Alexandria. The hotel had the BEST breakfast and the price is reasonable ($8.95 for Continental (which included all breads, bagels, juices, lots of fruit, hot oatmeal, lots of fresh pastries, etc. The only thing it didn't include was Eggs, sausage, potatoes, bacon, pancakes, etc. which is called the "American Breakfast" and this is for $13.95 each which also includes the Continental breakfast. The beds were amazingly comfortable, rooms super clean and cozy. Upgraded rooms were nice, views were awesome too. Staff was all amazing, so nice! Seriously, this hotel is a hidden secret! "Stuck in the Snow"
We traveled 660 miles for our daughter to take a test at the university on Monday. We were informed at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening the university would be closed on Mon due to weather conditions, (understandable) however they could reschedule the test for tues morning so we would not have to make another trip. The front desk advised me to go online and […] make another reservation for Mon evening as it would be cheaper or I would have to pay a higher rate. On-line reservations advised the hotel had no availability. I was charged the higher rate. The restaurant was only offering sandwiches for the lunch menu due to weather conditions. I feel the facility should have made better concessions with room rate since we really had no option to leave as advisories asked everyone to stay off the roads on Monday. Otherwise, I would recommend staying at Kellogg and will do again on future visits. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was a great buy and very serviceable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the stay and would gladly return again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was helpful and friendly. Security of the grounds and parking facility are a plus. The breakfast and lunch menus could be expanded. The day we wanted a hot breakfast all that was available was continental style rolls and fruit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A hidden gem"
The Kellogg Conference Center was perfect for our visit. We were attending an event at the DC Armory -- just a two mile drive away from the hotel. Very convenient. Staff was friendly and the security of being on a fenced and gated campus was refreshing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
