Excellent hotel and the price is really good. I have tried a lot of hotels in Miami, and that's the best considering the price. Really comfortable.

Whilst centrally located the hotel is posiitoned above a night club which pumps out music until 4.45am - exactly! Windows are not doubleglazed so every noise keeps you awake at night. This was a great deal to have a place to stay just two blocks away from the beach (blocks - not steps like the website says). Actually, the website is quite deceiving on the look of the rooms. Remember, this is an old building that did receive some renovation, but has to be preserved and cannot be upgraded too much b/c of city ordinances (or something […] like that). The rooms are NOT as nice as they look on the website. "High-tech technology" includes a safe, TV (~26-in.) bolted on the wall, and an A/C unit. The "deco floating bed" looks like a hospital bed to me. And there's a futon squeezed into the side of the room. It's small with tile flooring that is not comfortable when you come back from the beach with sand. But it's a cheap place to stay in SoBe. One front desk employee was very helpful! Very talkative with high energy and gave great suggestions (I'm sorry, can't remember her name). Others didn't look happy to be there. There's a club just downstairs, so be prepared to hear the music late into 2am on Fri and Sat nights. Valet parking cheaper than other SoBe hotels, but we didn't know valet parking would be our only option with the hotel until we got there. There's a parking garage 1 1/2 blocks away as a cheaper option. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the location and price, but I walked into it expecting a 4-star hotel feel, according to the website. Please only expect 3-star hotel quality. Read more

Royal South Beach Hotel was only a small step up from a hole in the wall. arrived at the hotel at 430 pm to be told our room was not ready. We had to chain up our luggage and go get something to eat. What a scary neighborhood. Don't leave the hotel after dark. If this hotel were in my neighborhood, I would demand my money back but consider most hotels on South Beach are in old non-hotel looking buildings, it's something you must deal with. We were not very lucky staying in this hotel, because there's a reconstruction on the street were it is located, no cars can even drive on that Ave., and of course this is not good for the hotel. The outdoor patio and spa tub offered a great social arena to mingle with other guests at the hotel. Some noise came from the patio but was only noticed for a few hours in the evening. My girlfriend and I got a great deal, basically taking the cheapest hotel we could find in South Beach during Spring Break. The rooms were generally clean, we had no bed bug problem and didn't read of any online, and the kitchenette saved us so much money by allowing us to eat breakfast and lunch in the room. Great location. Hotel is dirty. Breakfast is not worth the $5...go somewhere down the street for a delicious breakfast for the same price. I would only recommend it because of it's location. The water randomly turned off one afternoon...it turned back on within 10 minutes.
