I booked this hotel for my mother and her brothers for a short family get together while visiting their sister in Jax Beach. They all said it was clean and nice--esp loved the breakfast, could not believe it had so much variety of diff foods and they said it was delicious! Only dissatisfied thing is that when I made the reservation, they said the room had two doubles and a sofa bed, but found out when they checked in the hotel had no such thing--so kind of squished with 3 grown people in one room. But overall they enjoyed the trip and would stay there again.

I am easy to please. A bed, and a fridge, and a microwave so I have the freedom to hold my own food if I'd like. Not like I'm in prison. The free breakfast buffet was great. I was surprised at the quality of the food.

Flew down to Jax for a wedding. Decided to stay on the Beach. I had a King Oceanfront, put My Mom and sister in an Queen double Oceanfront. Location is perfect, loved sitting with family around the fire pit at night. The rooms and beds quite comfortable. View from balcony fantastic! Only thing missing was room service. Can't wait to come back.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt for a conference and have to say that the staff was wonderful. There were other groups and meetings but the facilities didn't feel crowded. The breakfast at Trellises was wonderful. Servers were very pleasant. The hotel is a short ride ($5-6 cab fare) from some really nice restaurants. Beautiful to overlook the water. "The Hyatt-close the Jax Landing"
I booked 2 days/2 nights at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Jacksonville to enjoy a weekend away, with no husband, no kids, just ME! Since I paid for my stay on hotels.com, the check-in procedure was very smooth. The women/men at the front desk were very polite through the very short, but informative process. I told the front desk associate the reason […] for my stay, and she hookd me up by giving me a room overlooking the St Johns River, a beautiful sight, for sure. This hotel has two options for parking your vehicle, self-park or valet parking. The cost is very reasonable, so I highly recommend using the service. I was informed of the restaurants and bars inside the hotel, which were very romantic, all of the tables were lit by candlelight. This hotel is very clean, even the air vents, which is usually overlooked at other hotels. Every hotel employee that walked by said "hello". I felt like a princess in a castle! "Great Hotel"
Stayed her for the Gatorbowl. Close to everything.
Great hotel, but hidden fees even after paying online. I had to pay an additional 30 bucks a night to check in . I didn't care to pay it, but because they couldn't explain why it made the servicing a bad experience
"New Years Eve/Gator Bowl Weekend"
The Hyatt could not be in a better place. Excellant staff. We stayed three nights and did not want to leave. Thanks Jacksonville for a great memory.
"Convenient Location"
I attended an event at the Florida Theatre and the Hyatt was located two block from there. I had an late evening event and an early morning flight and did not want to travel far when the event was over. The Hyatt was very nice.

If you do not have a vehicle you are out of luck. $50 round trip cab fare to get to any kind of shopping!There are places to eat close by but that is it. Housekeeping was poor. I was out of the room at what I consider to be prime housekeeping times but they never came at that time. They only came when I was in the room. Inconvienent. for the 3 days […] I was there they managed to never clean the room (I only asked for some fresh towels because I wasn't going to go to the bar and drink $6.00 drafts while they cleaned my room). View was great (River view room recommended) and the front desk staff went absolutely out of their way to make you feel welcome. the only problem i noticed with this hotel stay was that they charged $15.00 a day for parking that wasnt told to me up front

Expected more, got very little. The surrounding neighborhood did not seem very safe. If you need to purchase (in store) food or drinks, do not wonder around the neighboring streets at night - stop before getting close to the downtown area where the hotel is located.

I only stayed at this hotel for 1 night but i'm so glad i did. The staff is super friendly. The location and view is magnificent. I really enjoyed my stay and would stay again when i'm in town!

"details need attention"
The hotel was v nice and the staff really good if there was an issue they delt with it details for this kind of rate the TV remote should work fully not 'sort of' there biz office was under renovation and the substitute was pretty usless - not good for the biz traveler trying to print something...

i checked in late at night, the desk clerk was very pleasant and actually gave me a room on the top floor with the best view in the hotel. Room service was fast and my order was accurate. My only complaint was that my alarm clock in my room did not work.

We had the pleasure of staying in Jacksonville recently for 5 nights, going for a conference and staying extra days to explore The Hyatt was alright, but the management needs to spend more time in training. Every morning I called and asked if the bed be made up correctly - the bottom sheet wasn't tucked in on both sides and would come off - nothing […] like sleeping on a mattress. We had breakfast included and learned after the first day not to do the buffet (fruit and yogurt was good, but everything else tasted like it had been sitting way to long). On Sunday the manager brought out our food and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for a coffee refill (as my cup was empty). There was a coffee pot within arm's reach, but instead he called across the room to our waitress to bring it. So we waited. "Not Kid Friendly"
The overall of the hotel stay was Okay. For the luxary of the Hotel I would have though they have better service for family with children. The service in the room had no activities for kids, the televison channels should be kid friendly . But the view was great. The maid service was also great. And the overall service was great.

"Incredible Service"
I arrived at the Hyatt Jacksonville and was immediately greeted with enthusiasm. Everyone from the valet attendant to the room service staff were welcoming. The view of the river from my room was beautiful. The room itself, immaculately clean. I would stay here upon every visit to Jacksonville.

I stayed during the annual UGA-UF college footbsll gane. Room was perfect. Location is great, as it is right in the middle of Jax. It was within a short walking distance to the football stadium. Beautiful view of the St. Johns River. Only problem I had was that all guests were required to wear a green arm band in order to get in. And by require, I […] mean the lady at the front desk said that if we lost them, we would not be allowed back into the hotel. This was rediculous to mean and my group. pool bar not open ,sports bar not open. no ammities in the room. had delux river view room paid a lot extra, no fridge, no microwave, internet 14.95 a day. a tv from 1960 like 10 stations a bathroom from 1970 had to go to three floors to fine a vending machine that wouldnt steal your money then dispensed a 12oz bottle when a 20 was written on the button. "Great for attending the Florida Theater."
The hotel was nice. The people friendly. The room was clean and all things worked as expected. It was 1 block from the Florida Theater where the concert was that we attended so that was a very good thing. There was almost nothing else in the area worth seeing. Nice hotel in convenient location. Biggest plus was the Duval county courthouse parking lot is next door and the large lot is free to park on on weekends, well lit, and not very crowded.
"4th of July Fireworks!"
Great location to view the fireworks display! Watch from the airconditioned comfort of your riverfront room. My 5 year old Grandaughter even got to see a pod of dolphine swim playfully by! Very close to the Landing, restaurants shops etc, if you want to go immerse yourself in the crowd for awhile.
"Hyatt Regency Downtown Jax, Is a Gem"
This hotel is everything you would expect at a 4star hotel. I can not find one thing to complain about. Customer Service is excellent. Condition of hotel was excellent. All staff were courteous and friendly. We have stayed here on several occasions, and most definately will stay again.

After we got to the room, the wine and chocolates didnt arrive at the time they said they would. We left the hotel room to go out to eat and returned to find the smallest bottle of wine that I have ever seen and four pieces of chocolate, not much of […] an apology if you ask me. Overall the room was just ok. Nothing really fancy about it other than the view. I guess thats what the price tag was for. In the future, I wont be going back to this hotel. Read more
