Springhill Suites By Marriott Metro Center - Nashville

The hotel has been recently remodeled. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. My only complaint was the fitness room. Not big enough and too hot and I was not the only one to conplain about how hot it was in the room, it was very small!

The big issue with this hotel is that it is going through a renovation right now. We got one of the renovated rooms and it was very good, similar to the other hotel from the same chain close to the airport, where we stayed the night before. The location of this hotel is not very good, in an industrial area with relatively few dining options nearby […] beyond fast food. On the other hand, it is relatively close to downtown. The problems originated from the renovation. The single elevator was filthy because it had been used by the workers to transport material. Besides, it has a strong smell of chemicals and paint being transported. Besides, guests had sometimes to wait for quite sometime before being able to catch the elevator. Workers were polite and accommodating to the guests, leaving the elevator when multiple guests were waiting but that was far from an optimal arrangement. The renovation also caused the breakfast to be sub-standar in comparison to the other hotels in the same chain, as there were no hot items (although a toaster was available for bagels). So, I would wait until mid-2013 before making a reservation in this hotel (or check any updates on the renovation the hotel makes available). Read more

Location is not near downtown Nashville and is extrmely difficult to get a taxi to anywhere. The area is not particularly safe to walk in and has very few food locations, unless you have a car. Not the best choice for family traveling into Nashville sights!

We booked at this hotel based to some degree on the pool. We were quite disappointed that the pool had been drined for several weeks before our arrival and would not be ready for use for a couple more weeks. Beds were great and staff was very nice. Need to watch which cab service they call for you. Sadly, the driver I had was extrememly rude. I know that was not the clerk's fault-she was trying to help out.

The room was nice and clean and the staff was pleasant. The hotel is away from downtown in a more industrial area. No resteraunts in walking distance. The continental breakfast was less than desirable. I found that to be entirely too expensive for the amenities that were offered and the quality and location of hotel.

The staff was great even though the kids were prob. bugging them. The room was roomy and the beds were comfortable. We paid the extra over our budget because the kids wanted indoor pool and hot tub. Only down was the indoor pool is not heated and in Oct. it was kind of cool to be swimming in. For a quick stop through Nashville, this has lots of comfort and amenities. Fast-food restaurants are real close, but for mid-price dining, you can get stuck on I-65 traffic trying to get to the next exit. Beds were very comfortable and the staff was really ready to please.

Bathroom fan clogged with dirt. Elevator vents clogged with dirt. Area around beds had dirt/food debris. My youngest daughter was coughing all weekend. Staff had to be told to put new juice concentrate in the juice machine. Hours of breakfast only from 6-9am, even on Holiday. No 1st floor rooms were available at check-in because they had not been cleaned due to "short-staffing". Receptionist had a cab waiting for us at the time we requested. Room was huge for the price it had 2 beds and a couch, 2 tvs and a little kitchen area... I will definitely stay at this hotel again and again and again..Close to downtown for you animals like myself..

We were there for my 49th birthday. Very nice hotel. We slept in late every day so didn't use maid service just changed out towels. Grand ole opry Ryman auditorium and the famous Broadway Street less than 5 minutes away. Quite part of town. Very clean and nice hotel. Nice rooms. Highly Recommend!!!!

I n the 4 nights I spent there the wirelss in room 306 never worked. I spend a lot of time on the phone with a technican trying to resolve the problem. The computer in the lobby was always working. Mine was the only room in the hotel that did not work.

Rooms were very comfortble, clean and we enjoyed the micro and small refrigerator. Nice to have a suite area for leisure. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had quiet rooms even though they were in the middle of the hallway. Breakfast was good, hot and had nice variety. Enjoyed complimentary coffee, cookies etc. in the lobby. .

Kids and mother in law requested a late check out so that they could swim longer while we attended the titans game. Staff allowed a late check out and told them that they could swim as long as they wanted to even after checkout time. Great guest service, staff was fantastic!
