close to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Palace, and Underground Cistern. Next door to hotel is good coffee shop/cafe and hotel is near The Pudding Shop which is a 55 year old restaurant with very good Turkish food. There is also a money exchange 1 block from hotel. Many cafes and shops are close to hotel. Be prepared to hear loud Call to Prayer 5 times daily near hotel. Akin, the reservations manager, was very helpful during my stay. Free Turkish breakfast each morning for guests.

"Vacation stay at Germir Palace"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel is situated in a quite central place, close to Taksim metro station, easy to get everywhere, room was nice and neighbourhood is a business area of european part of Istanbul. The only thing that I didn't like - 1-st May was a workers holiday, we lost almost all day due to getting trapped into a street with a protesting croud trying to make our way out of there, because the main street was surrounded by metal gratings which were put in place by police. The demonstration was very loud but quite peaceful, no fights, but we lost almost 1 day (from 09:00 am to 16:00 pm) because all nearby metro stations were not working, as well as no taxis, due to closed streets. Hotels.Com web-site should organize some kind of pop-up warning at their web-site for people to know which days would be not very good for trips.
"Great hotel, top notch staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Courteous and attentive staff make sure all your needs are met and more. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The location was great, the hotel looked almost brand new, and the amenities were top notch. I would happily stay here again.
"Excellent Location and Service"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
My husband and I stayed at the Best Point for three nights in Istanbul. Overall we had a fabulous time and highly recommend the hotel. We did have a slight travel snafu, I had requested the airport pickup and sent my flight information which apparently they did not receive (we verified this by both pulling up our emails and I could plainly see they never received our itinerary). They were more than happy to accomodate us however and the owner sent us back to the airport in his personal car free of charge. The staff in general could not be more helpful, they were extremely welcoming and would bring you anything you wanted or requested within reason. Anything non-alcoholic was free of charge. They also had a great breakfast included in the room and free wi-fi which is a must for us when we're traveling without our son. The room itself was nice but nothing particularly special. The bathroom was nice and modern and had a jacuzzi tub, which unfortunately didn't work. The room didn't have a trash can, which was kind of annoying always having to traipse to the bathroom, nor did it have a clock. Minor annoyances but things we noticed nonetheless. As for location, it was down the hill, 60-90 second walk to the hippodrome and courtyard between hagia sophia and blue mosque. We felt safe the entire time. We definitely recommend staying there it was a great deal for the money and near all the tourist attractions in the old city. We will probably be back!

"Great hotel choice for the price"
Selected to this hotel because it was the best mix of price and location. Had to to reserve 3-rooms for a week, so price was important. The hotel was great. Good service, great location, no issues. The rooms are small with small bathroom, but no big issues. Nice bar and breakfast restaurant on top floors. Located on main street close to most attractions […] and restaurants. Read more
"great location; poor ameneties"
Center of old town--can't get lost; small room, minimalist breakfast...
"Go for the location"
You can't get a better located hotel to old Istanbul.
"PIERRE LOTI HOTEL- location locatio location,"
Perfect location, great breakfast, great rooftop. Good service. Rooms are ok.
"Pierre Loti is excellent -- very centrally located"
I found the staff to be extremely helpful. The hotel is very reasonably priced too and close to all major sites (Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia) and to many good restaurants. The breakfast is also very good. I highly recommend it!
"Very good location"
This hotel have a very good location if you want to be in Sultanahmet. But the hotel is MAYBE worth 2 stars. The rooms are small and you can only get one keycard for the dor because they not have enough keycards. Every time you come back to the hotel and ask for the key they have to find a key card and program it for your door.
"decent"
breakfast was a 7 out of 10 when we came initially they gave us the wrong type of room (two single beds instead of one double bed). but the service was great- whenever we watned something, the reception was quick in sending it. the cleaning service was very good as well. the location was really good (right by the blue mosque and hagia sophia). the […] area was safe. there were shops and restaurants right outside the hotel. it was a little pricey, but the location was worth it. i recommend it. "Pierre Lotti -you can walk everywhere"
The hotel is a bargain for the money. No need to purchase transportation. You are a 5 minute walk to everything. The Blue Mosque, a cruise on the Bosphorus and the Grand Bazaar are all within easy reach of the hotel. The room is ample for relaxing and sleeping. The rooftop is great for sipping cocktails and for great views. The airport is a quick 45 […] minutes from the hotel on the tram. The hotel is immaculate and the staff is very polite. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Read more

"Great hotel for tourist"
I came to this hotel to be closer to the busy part of Istanbul, and i was definitely satisfied with the hotel's location. There is a rooftop bar that (except the patio was under construction that week) was very nice with a great view of the Blue Mosque. The bartenders and servers were great, the front desk people were a little rude, but overall great […] service! Read more

"Excellent Hotel"
Location was everything. We were walking distance from all the sights. The hotel staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and of adiquate size. I would stay there again.
"Needs a lot of improvement."
It is NOT a 4 star hotel. The rooms are not in good condition. Very small room. The bathroom is very uncomfortable. Would not stay again. The only plus was the location, other then that, not worth the money i spent there. It is on the 2 star level.
"Outstanding Hotel"
courteous, friendly staff. excellent location, walking distance to Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and steps to Tram.

"Hotel Pierre Loti"
The hotel is located very close to Blue Mosque and Bazar which I think was great however the room was too small and dark.
"Hard beds"
The beds were very hard. They had a computer for customer use, but it wouldn't accept U.S. web addresses. Room was small but adequate. Very nice bathroom. Very clean and overall nice stay.
"Good location and freindly service"
This was a great location for the main sites the Bazzar and o the tram route. The service was friendly, but we asked when was a good time to go to the Bazzar and was told 7pm - but that was when it shut! The 2 rooms we had were tiny with not enough storage, but there were larger rooms so check before you book.
"Excellent choice"
Right in the heart of Sultanahmet so close to everything and the staff was great! Highly recommend it!
"would recommend the hotel to others"
ideal location (for public transport and places to eat), nice rooms and friendly staff
"Great location, mediocre room"
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful but they forgot to give us our wakeup call. The hotel has a great roofdeck bar/restaurant which has wonderful views and is perfect for a sunset cocktail. Unfortunately our hotel room which was supposed to be non-smoking smelled like an ashtray.
"Pierre Loti"
Nice staff, clean, very small room.Good location. Breakfast was a disaster. 30 min before ending no food left. Even bread was taken away 15 min before the breakfast was over and waiters became to eat among customers.
"Perfect family holiday hotel"
The hotel was well located within walking distance of the Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Sultanahmet Mosque and the Grand Bazaar, and also has public transportation and restaurants close by. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast adequate. Would definitely recommend others for a stay in Istanbul,
"Pierre Loti Divan Yolu-Istanbul-great location"
Small room but is enough if you are not planning to stay indoor. Great view from the roof top restaurant and breakfast restaurant. Fair local and continental breakfast. Fair price too! Friendly staff, thx to Emran for all the tips and guidance rendered. Housekeeping-4/10 didnt clean bathroom well . TV Channels- only 2 english speaking channels(CNN & […] BBC)...OMG..sigh!!! Good thing we were out mostly...imagine if it had rained or too cold outside. Read more
"Pierre Loti hotel -- Istanbul"
Location: good (if you want to be in old part of the city)! Hotel staff: ok Room cleanliness & conditon: not very good + wall are very thin (you can hear all other guest conversations) Fitness facilities: very very old & bad (their pub should not say they have that service...) Nice terrace on the roof. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel (only […] if you want to be in the old city and the main attractions). Read more
"Sultanmet Ideal Location"
This hotel was in an excellent and was very reasonably priced. It is a quick walk to the major tourist activities and shopping and the hotel was clean. The staff was excellent . The elevators kept misbehaving and are on the old pully system so they were a bit concerning. As with many European hotels, the beds were very uncomfortable. I could feel the […] springs through the mattress. Additionally , the air conditioner had a mind of it's own and was either freezing or turned off . I would stay here again if I was assured that the bdes were upgraded. Read more
"location location location"
great place, clean but small rooms, perfect location with a nice roof top bar which has a wonderful view of sultanahmet. would surely recommend this if you dont mind a slightly small room.
"Pierre Loti - Sunset delight"
The rooftop bar and restaurant is a must visit even if you are not staying at the hotel. Decent prices and a great panoramic view over the city and the major sights. The hotel rooms are tight if there are two people but free wifi is a bonus. Breakfasts are just a little bizzare but overall this is a great find in a fantastic city with probably the best […] location in town. Read more
"Perfect location! Close to all must-see things"
Small but very confortable rooms with convenient safe deposit. Located in the heart of Sultanahmet at walking distance from Haia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. One block away from Çemberlitas tramvay station that conects you with the entire subway grid. I definetly recommend it for tourism.
"Good Hotel in a Great location"
If you're looking to stay near the sites at a mid price range hotel then this is a good one. The rooms are nothing special, but clean, well maintained and adequately comfortable. The location is great as it's right between the Aya Sofya / Blue Mosque and the Bazaar. A 5 to 10 minute walk to either. It's also right on the street with the trams so very […] convenient for public transportation to the Airport, the docks or Taksim square. The roof top restaurant has great views of Blue Mosque and the food is decent ... good for the nights or lunches when you don't feel like venturing too far. Breakfast was ok ... nothing special, but not bad either. Read more
"Pierre Loti in Sultanahmet"
Friendly service, excellent value, perfectly located. If only the taxi drivers knew where it was...:) Only down side the rooms were a little small, but not not a big issue really. Roof top bar was nice

Si Read more
"Bra läge"
Ligger mitt i turistkvarter med Bazar och blå mosken, men ändå nära till tunnel för transport till kvällskvarteren (restauranger och pubar)
"Great location"
Great location, good service in reception, perfect cleaning, nice bathroom. Fine and varied breakfast. Not very big rooms but good distribution of furniture. And you are not in Istanbul becaurse you want to spend the whole day in the room! Altogether a very pleasant experience.

Read more
"Godt centralt beliggende hotel"
Roligt. God service fra personale.
"Hotel Pierre Loti in Istanbul - Perfect location"

Read more
