Excellent personnel....... Excellent service...... First night I didn't sleep well because of outside noise, they upgraded me to the executive floor without hesitation. The hotel personel makes it a point to see that you are satisfied in every way. I would diffinitly stay there again......

please do not stay at this hotel, i had a very bad expierence, i purchased a pastry from the cake shop in the hotel it had a bug, secondly there was a nail hidden in the carpet on which i stepped on, thirdly i asked for a ironing board & a iron to iron my clothes, the ironing board was hazardous & not in compliance to cinsumer safety, the duty manager […] forced me to pay for the same. stay tat the shangrila rather than the waterfront Read more

Very affordable and they offer complimentary breakfast everyday. Nice and clean rooms but the TV is still very much outdated. Fast check-in and check out

Very enjoyable stay. Beautiful pool, excellent proximity to malls and night life, good restaurants, comfortable bed, GREAT gym. If you are looking to sight-see, a driver and car are available for 3 hours for just under 2kp. Carpeting in the hotel is in serious need of replacement...this place could be a gem with minimal investment in updates. We really enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront. The location is quite good right next to the Asiatown IT area, where there are lots of great food, drink, and entertainment options. The Ayala Mall is also just a 10 minute walk the other direction (although that's not such a pleasant stroll). The room was very comfortable - all the features & amenities […] one would expect of a hotel of this caliber - except for one thing that did lower my opinion of the hotel. When we requested a bottle opener, the staff member that showed up with one insisted upon opening our bottles himself and not simply leaving the opener with us for the duration of our stay. Since we didn't want to constantly be calling for bottle opening service every time we wanted a bottle opened, we had to go out and buy our own bottle opener. Did they not trust us to leave the opener or return it when we checked out? Did the hotel have a bottle opener shortage? Or maybe they simply wanted to encourage us to drink their canned mini-bar drinks that did not require an opener. Regardless of their reasons, I thought it quite odd. Whenever I've requested a bottle opener at other hotels, one has simply been loaned to me for the duration of my stay. Not the case with the Waterfront. Since we were able to find a bottle opener to buy without too much trouble, it was just a tiny inconvenience, and that really was my only complaint about my stay at the Waterfront though. Read more

Hotel is in a great location and the shuttle to the shopping center Ayala and SM was great. Would like to have had an ironing board and Iron available for cloths wrinkled from travel. They make you send your cloths out to have them pressed which is expensive. Staff was friendly and food was OK but Very expensive.

We were there in May 2011 and our experience was excellent. Thisis the second time we booked with this hotel. The Waterfront failed to make a good first impression and failed on four accounts. The first failure was when they made me wait two hours after I arrived, even though I had checked in well past their 2 pm check-in time. Their second failure came when the only room available was a smoking room. Throughout my stay, I had to continually get the odor […] of cigarette smoke in the room. The third failure in my eyes is there was no room safe. Yes, they did have safe boxes down at the lobby, but who wants to carry all their valuables up and down from the room to the safe every time one leaves. Or remember to pick them up on a trip out. Lastly, the mini-bar was completely empty. There was nothing at the bar except for complimentary water and tea/coffee. And ironically, upon check-out, I was asked if I had anything from the mini-bar. I would recommend this Hotel to everyone. The room was really cleaned well each day. The free buffet breakfast included my spouse as well as all you can eat is just great. Everything was just perfect,,one of the better hotel i stayed at,, Next time it will be more days here

The only thing that I really did not like is the breakfast. Opening time is too short and the stuff is only then moving fast, when it comes to remove the buffet. Shure also 5 minutes to early, without pre announcement. Things are not getting refilled so fruits are often old, empty and dry at 9:30 already. Not bath wardrobes in the rooms. we stayed at the Parkland 2 weeks,and at Waterfront for 6 days. We had good service at both hotels. I think the Waterfront was a little more romantic but a little slower at checking in.The food at both hotels was very good and a safe place to eat. Hotel and staff were generally okay although I do have a couple of complaints. I reserved a Single queen bed in a non smoking room. When I checked in I was told non were available - I needed to have a smoking room or non-smoking with two smaller beds unless I wanted to "upgrade". i usually do not post comments about hotels i've stayed in but for this hotel i had to just because it was so bad... first of all i am married with 2 kids (1 yr old & 3 yrs old) we stayed at thsi hotel for 9 nights. i made a reservation for 2 twin/double beds and when i go there they gave me 2 single beds. i went to the reservation desk to ask why i […] had single beds when i had requested for twin/double beds...and the best answer he could give me was that was all the beds they had...i asked him you guys dont have rooms with 2 double beds in the hotel? and he said no we dont all we have our 2 single bed...i couldn't believe what i was hearing... then i asked for a crib for my 1 yr old and they brought me a very old, out of dated crib, which had one side bar down and it could not be pulled up to make sure my baby would not fall out, so i just ased for a playpen instead... and we were suppose to have free breakfast everyday, and the kids were suppose to be free, but they charged us for my 3 yrs old cz she ate cereal! i asked them why they were charging us when they told us the kids 5 and below were free...and the best answer they could give was "because she ate cereal" by this point i had had it with this hotel... they are a total rip off, not worth the money...do not stay here...esp bec of the casino there are alot of call girls standing around in the middle of the night and it is just an inappropriate environment for families with kids... i will never stay here again when we come back to visit cebu...the Marco polo was the best Hotel for us, cz we moved after those 9 horrible days at the waterfront...and stayed at the marco polo for the remaining 14 days...it was a great decision and we were much more happier with the customer service and the comfort of the hotel rooms and beds that we had...and yes this time at the marco polo we had 2 double beds and a real crib... so to those of you who plan on staying at the waterfront in cebu, please, even if its close to the Read more

OK place but always contact the hotel directly for a local "promotional" rate which is always cheaper than the Internet rate. additionally, the hotel staff/registration desk are pretty much incompetent or lazy and will pretend not to know of a local promotion. Stayed at the Waterfront for a buisness/personal vacation while working in the PI. Outstanding staff, willing to jump through hoops to get you whatever you need. The only thing I was dissatisfied with (albeit only slightly) was the room service. By the time they get it to your room, it's a bit cold but still good. I loved the view of the Mormon temple, when I opened the curtains, room #217! The staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! The Christmas decorations were amazing. The room was very clean and comfortable.

I had stayed many times in this hotel and i really like it. but I am having only one problem always that once i check in there are some emergency deposit which is blocked on the credit card. And once checking out, they make new approval from credit card for any pay. That creates problem since the block amount releases after 15 days. That doesnt help […] during trip and infact makes problem on credit card. They should make sure that they use same authorization number to get any payments instead of taking new approval. It's located near shopping mall and IT park. But, i disapointed that smoking guy in the hotel hall. There's no crew to complain the smoking guy.
