Hotel shows age but overall comfortable. Beds an rooms were neat restful. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Nice place, clean, staff are great. The location of the place is not ideal, it's hard to find. The hotel is located along with the residential neighborhood. It takes 45 minutes by taxi to the airport. Taxi ride is about 250 pesos to the airport. Breakast menu is so simple. The nearest eatery or restaurant is about 15 minutes walk. Don't ask let them do a laundry for you, they will lost your item.

The hotel is located next door to the Airport. No Fox News on the cable TV but had anti-American Al Jazeera. Air conditioning in the room was inadequate. Had no ironing board or iron available. Do not eat at the hotel buffet food was terrible quality and cold. Only three choices for beer at the hotel bar. Two local brands and Heineken. The only reason I would stay again is it is very convenient to the Airport.

I wish I just stay on this resort in my visit in Cebu. I stayed in other resort and was disappointed with the accommodation and service not to mention the price of those resort that I paid. I enjoyed the ambiance of the resort, the friendliness of the staff they all catered to the comfort of their guest. The breakfast was soo yummy and everything I'm craving was there... what more could I ask. Last but not least, we had so much fun swimming in the swimming pools with 3 choices. Looking forward on my next stay in Maribagu Bluewater.

I recently stayed at the Bella Vista Hotel from March 26th to April 6th, 2012. The van from the hotel picked me up at the airport after a very short wait. From the moment I got there, the staff of the hotel was very helpful in every way. The staff was friendly, greeting us every morning when we went down for breakfast. The complimentary breakfast was very good every day, and I was especially happy that on Fridays they served fish for breakfast as i stayed there during lent. We went swimming on the roof, and the pool and the area surrounding the pool was very clean. We had some clothes that needed to be washed, and the housekeeping staff did a wonderful job with the time they needed and prompt delivery to our room exactly when they said it would be done. If i had any complaint, it would be that some of the towels and sheets and some dark stains on them. This didn't bother me, but it might bother some other people. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people, and when I return to Cebu at the end of the year, I will stay there again!!

With the exception of the renovations of the lobby, the overall experience was exceptional. The U.S. Consul is located at the basement level for convenience and there is also a Duty Free Store as an added bonus to the spacious Casino.

It is convenient to everything. The only thing I wasn't satisfied was the bed is old and the towels are old and hard. They should change their beds and bathroom furnishings and they do not have iron available in the room.

please do not stay at this hotel, i had a very bad expierence, i purchased a pastry from the cake shop in the hotel it had a bug, secondly there was a nail hidden in the carpet on which i stepped on, thirdly i asked for a ironing board & a iron to iron my clothes, the ironing board was hazardous & not in compliance to cinsumer safety, the duty manager […] forced me to pay for the same. stay tat the shangrila rather than the waterfront Read more

Very enjoyable stay. Beautiful pool, excellent proximity to malls and night life, good restaurants, comfortable bed, GREAT gym. If you are looking to sight-see, a driver and car are available for 3 hours for just under 2kp. We really enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront. The location is quite good right next to the Asiatown IT area, where there are lots of great food, drink, and entertainment options. The Ayala Mall is also just a 10 minute walk the other direction (although that's not such a pleasant stroll). The room was very comfortable - all the features & amenities […] one would expect of a hotel of this caliber - except for one thing that did lower my opinion of the hotel. When we requested a bottle opener, the staff member that showed up with one insisted upon opening our bottles himself and not simply leaving the opener with us for the duration of our stay. Since we didn't want to constantly be calling for bottle opening service every time we wanted a bottle opened, we had to go out and buy our own bottle opener. Did they not trust us to leave the opener or return it when we checked out? Did the hotel have a bottle opener shortage? Or maybe they simply wanted to encourage us to drink their canned mini-bar drinks that did not require an opener. Regardless of their reasons, I thought it quite odd. Whenever I've requested a bottle opener at other hotels, one has simply been loaned to me for the duration of my stay. Not the case with the Waterfront. Hotel is in a great location and the shuttle to the shopping center Ayala and SM was great. Would like to have had an ironing board and Iron available for cloths wrinkled from travel. They make you send your cloths out to have them pressed which is expensive. Staff was friendly and food was OK but Very expensive.

"FAILED TO MAKE A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION"
The Waterfront failed to make a good first impression and failed on four accounts. The first failure was when they made me wait two hours after I arrived, even though I had checked in well past their 2 pm check-in time. Their second failure came when the only room available was a smoking room. Throughout my stay, I had to continually get the odor […] of cigarette smoke in the room. The third failure in my eyes is there was no room safe. Yes, they did have safe boxes down at the lobby, but who wants to carry all their valuables up and down from the room to the safe every time one leaves. Or remember to pick them up on a trip out. I would recommend this Hotel to everyone. The room was really cleaned well each day. The free buffet breakfast included my spouse as well as all you can eat is just great. The only thing that I really did not like is the breakfast. Opening time is too short and the stuff is only then moving fast, when it comes to remove the buffet. Shure also 5 minutes to early, without pre announcement. Things are not getting refilled so fruits are often old, empty and dry at 9:30 already. Not bath wardrobes in the rooms. Hotel and staff were generally okay although I do have a couple of complaints. I reserved a Single queen bed in a non smoking room. When I checked in I was told non were available - I needed to have a smoking room or non-smoking with two smaller beds unless I wanted to "upgrade". I later found out the hotel was at a very low occupancy and there WERE […] rooms avail. and they were just trying to get more money. "NOT WORTH STAYING IN - A WASTE OF MONEY - BAD SERVICE"
i usually do not post comments about hotels i've stayed in but for this hotel i had to just because it was so bad... first of all i am married with 2 kids (1 yr old & 3 yrs old) we stayed at thsi hotel for 9 nights. i made a reservation for 2 twin/double beds and when i go there they gave me 2 single beds. i went to the reservation desk to ask why i […] had single beds when i had requested for twin/double beds...and the best answer he could give me was that was all the beds they had...i asked him you guys dont have rooms with 2 double beds in the hotel? and he said no we dont all we have our 2 single bed...i couldn't believe what i was hearing... then i asked for a crib for my 1 yr old and they brought me a very old, out of dated crib, which had one side bar down and it could not be pulled up to make sure my baby would not fall out, so i just ased for a playpen instead... and we were suppose to have free breakfast everyday, and the kids were suppose to be free, but they charged us for my 3 yrs old cz she ate cereal! i asked them why they were charging us when they told us the kids 5 and below were free...and the best answer they could give was "because she ate cereal" by this point i had had it with this hotel... they are a total rip off, not worth the money...do not stay here...esp bec of the casino there are alot of call girls standing around in the middle of the night and it is just an inappropriate environment for families with kids... i will never stay here again when we come back to visit cebu...the Marco polo was the best Hotel for us, cz we moved after those 9 horrible days at the waterfront...and stayed at the marco polo for the remaining 14 days...it was a great decision and we were much more happier with the customer service and the comfort of the hotel rooms and beds that we had...and yes this time at the marco polo we had 2 double beds and a real crib... so to those of you who plan on staying at the waterfront in cebu, please, even if its close to the Read more

Hotel was way over-priced for such adated and old hotel. TV was pre-historic and the room old... good views though. The security system to the rooms was turned off as they couldn't get it to work!!

The staff is very friendly and will try to please you in all ways. The food is good and the hotel is located close to the Ayala Center and IT Park. The casino is fun but if you are a non-smoker then it is very tough for you. The swimming pool is very nice and if you enjoy hot weather then this is the place to be.
